Fraud
February 9, 2022

I refinance my loan with a credit union. They got the 10 day payoff and cut a check. I picked it up same day and mailed it for next day delivery. This was January 19, so they received it on the 20th. They cashed it on the 25th. They took a payment on the 22nd but again received the check on the 20th. On the 5th they called for me to make another payment.? So why did it take 5 day for them to cash? Why did they take another payment after receiving the check. It looks like they are prolonging so the can justify keeping all of the 10 day payoff. And it's not a lot of money until you think of the hundreds of people they do this to. They are probably making just as much scamming people this way as the do with their high interest rates. And they pretend that the are a separate company than the company selling the car but they are scamming the whole way around.

I am a dialysis patient and went to Drive Time to get a car. I never knew Drive Time was owned by Bridgecrest. In June I had a procedure done and needed to deferr a payment which was granted. 2 months later I actually recieved a kidney transplant. I called to deferr another pay because I would not be working. They denied my request sayingvthat the only let people with 3 months behind on payment use deferment. Thats not true or I wouldn't have gotten the first deferment. When I complained to the BBB, I received a call from Bridgecrest and the guy left a message but deliberately omitted one of the numbers for me to call them back. I went through 10 people who would not allow me to speak to the guy in charged saying he was busy or will contact me again. When I received a message from the BBB, Bridgecrest told them that they contacted me several times and I never would talked to them which was a all out lie. I have never seen a company that was so underhanded and unprofessional. I will never recommend anyone to use this company or go through Drive Time to purchase a vehicle.

I can't say much about the loan as I accepted it. But the rates are incredibly predatory as high as I have seen at 20.9%. While buying the vehicle the will inform you that you can refinance after a yearโ€ฆ butโ€ฆ you cannot refinance with them. And good luck trying to refinance elsewhere as Bridgecrest makes it near impossible by refusing titles and taking nearly 3-4 weeks to process anything after the fact. While selling my car (I had equity) the process was so annoyingly difficult and time consuming that a few dealerships passed on a great deal just to avoid the hassle. Think twice before using bridgecrest as your lender. If you don't mind being a financial hostage then they may be right for you.

This payment breakdown makes no sense. Just like the two payments I was forced to pay. Not one person I have talked to can show me on paper that I owed this. But it's paid.

If you click on question mark it brings up
Payment break down
Past due $187.28
Late charge $15.00
This equals $202.28
But we had to pay $314.20 which is a difference of $111.92. Been a bookkeeper for 50 plus years and never seen this kind of bookkeeping. Somebody needs to look into this?

The absolute worst EVER!
January 26, 2022

There should be a ZERO STARS option. Bridgecrest is an absolute scam! The worst customer service, they sat on my payoff for over two weeks! What the hell kind of garbage operation are they running?!? I've reported them to every possible financial regulation and government entity. Their disclosures are vague, they don't adhere to any of their so called response timelines. I've spoken to some of the most rude, condescending agents I've ever heard. On a call with them now going on 90 minutes because I absolutely refuse to deal with this company one more day. I'm going to make it my mission to bury this fraudulent, predatory lender!

Bridgecrest are thieves and DriveTime's sales staff aren't honest. They try their best to slip in all types of extra crap you didn't want or ask for in order to run the loan amount up and have you adding years and money to your payments. Bridgecrest also took 2 payments for my first payment and are acting like they can't refund it for weeks even though they can CLEARLY see that they have 2 payments that cleared on their end. That's absolutely Horrible customer service and I'll never do business with companies like these again. I'll be sure to tell everyone EVERY chance I get to not do business here either. Honesty and a little customer service goes a long way and these companies have neither.

I generally had a decent experience with Bridgecrest until it came time for payoff.

First ill start by saying, Carvana seriously lacked in providing information. I had no idea who my lender was until I am getting emails from Bridgecrest which I had never heard of before. I called to ask who they are and why they are emailing me, the representative says calls like mine happen often.

I made payments on the car for about 6 months until I found another vehicle at a local dealership and decided to trade in my vehicle from carvana. The dealership sent the payoff check to Bridgecrest and we waited an ample amount of time for the check to be delivered and processed. This is where the bull$#*! starts.

In total I called Bridgecrest about 6 times for updates regarding the payoff as by this time, my payment due date had come and gone and no updates had been made to my account. At one point, about 2 weeks after the check had been sent, a Bridgecrest rep told me I need to make the payment and then get reimbursed for it after the pay off went through. This sounded like something that would never happen, so I didn't do it. After getting the run around from several Bridgecrest employees (including managers) and being told something different every time I called, I got my new dealership involved who discovered the check had been LOST, Bridgecrest just wouldn't admit it. They kept requiring tracking numbers, dates, totals, etc in order to "search" for the check, even though we know they never did. We even had confirmation of the check being delivered and signed for at their office - then it just disappeared. How does that happen?

Fast forward to today, its now over a month since the original check was sent. First check was received by Bridgecrest on 12/2 - today is 1/19. I am required to call in for a "Paid in Full Letter" as Bridgecrest does not automatically send you anything - ever. When asked if I would like the letter mailed or emailed, I chose the email as one would assume it would be faster. Again, I am required to submit a request for the letter and wait 3-5 business days to receive it *if approved. I know this doesn't seem like long to wait, but given the run around iv already endured and being constantly told to wait 10 business days over and over again - I know their time frames are BS and I'm probably going to be waiting another month for the Paid in Full Letter.

I would and will never recommend Bridgecrest to anyone and can see now based off the reviews, I should have done my research as they have like a 1.2 out 5 star rating - and for good reason.

Stay away

Scammers!
January 18, 2022

I pay extra every month to knock down the bill since the interest rate is ridiculous. Every payment I have to call them several times to have them put the extra money I paid on the principal since that is not an option online. After several phone calls they finally change it but they don't reimburse me for the interest for the weeks that it takes. This is obviously a scam to squeeze more money out of people. I'm definitely not happy and would never recommend this company.

I cosigned for a car with my daughter on a drivetime car. Bridgecrest was the bank and we initially didn't have any issues aside from being told she has to pay every 2 weeks. Well, the car got totalled and the insurance company sends the check just before Thanksgiving. Bridgecrest kept making my daughter pay while they were slow to process the insurance check. So I call Silverrock about the gap insurance and have emails from Bridgecrest and Silverrock about the total loss being started and the Gap insurance to be processed. This is 12/8/21.12/18/21 bridgecrest applies the insurance check to the account, and the balance of $1400 is to be paid by the gap insurance. 1/7/22 I get a credit alert that my credit score has dropped 40 points for a 30 day late from bridgecrest. I'm super pissed and call silverrock about the gap insurance, they say bridgecrest never sent over the paperwork for the disbursement of funds. I call bridgecrest and they say the check amount that was sent and the paperwork are different, so we can't process the gap insurance. I said what's 5he hold up, they need the insurance company to correct the paperwork, but nobody ever called the insurance. So I call the insurance and they have no idea what bridgecrest is talking about but they called them and resent what was sent already. A week later same story, nothing done by bridgecrest. I call everyday for 2 weeks straight and finally it is done, but I ask about my credit with the 30 day late after they got $12,800, bridgecrest says that only went to the principle and you should've kept paying. I'm a healthcare worker and my daughter is a single parent struggling. Bridgecrest got $12,800 from insurance and has the other $1400 coming from gap insurance and hurt my credit as we are buying a house. To all stay away from this company, also all calls routed to Barbados and they could care less what we have going on here.

Don't even try to get help from customer service. They will transfer you from agent to agent and get nothing resolved. I moved from Colorado to Kansas and in order to get my vehicle registered in Kansas, they need a copy of the title from Bridgecrest. They received the request letter from my county at the beginning of December. My Bridgecrest account shows they "sent the DMV" the title on December 22nd. I was told it will take 3-5 business days and it is now January 14th and my county still has not received it. My account does not state where they sent it, or how it was sent. One agent told me they faxed it and when I asked what fax number they sent it to (because the letter indicates an address to MAIL IT, but does NOT include any sort of fax number) she placed me on hold for ten minutes and then a different agent answered. Another agent said she was going to place me on hold to contact the "title department". I was on hold for 15 minutes and then another agent answered. That agent told me they are not even able to contact the title department nor does it indicate in my account that anything was faxed. It just says it was "sent", but doesn't say how or where. This agent begins to tell me it will take 6-8 weeks, yet he didn't understand that if it was sent on December 22nd (per the notes on my account) why my county hasn't received it yet. It doesn't take 6-8 weeks for delivery even with the slowest of options being regular mail. I also sent a correspondence to them via email inquiring about this, to which I have yet to receive any sort of response. When I ask the agents how I am supposed to know if the title was sent to the right address and/or if anything is being done about this, they said all I can do is wait. Meanwhile, I am not able to legally drive my vehicle because it's not registered.

These group of people that work here apparently do not have social skills. We had to read our card number 6 times before they got it right. We have never missed a payment. When my my husbands payday was changed they would not let us change the date. There are no managers available to deal with. They couldn't tell us anything that made any sense. Can not wait to pay off our car. Will never purchase from Bridgecrest again!

This is the absolute worst of all car lenders. Buyer beware. One day late and they send a repo company. Customer service is ridiculous and ignorant. No help. The reps are rude and they incite anger and continue to antagonize customers. They screwed up my payments from day one and refused to correct it, even though it was their mistake.

Scam based financing
December 29, 2021

I bought a $14,000 truck from drive time in 2018. I have most of my bills electronically debited from my bank acct and also live a busy single parent lifestyle that does not give me a lot of time to sit around and look at all my financing.
We are three days away from year 2022

So far I've paid right at $20,000 on my $14,000 truck, I checked today and I still owe well over $10,000 more to pay it off.

Maybe it's partly my fault that I'm too busy to fully understand vehicle financing when I'm signing a pile of paperwork but I don't expect these companies to completely rape us on Interest charges.

Ive never missed a payment but I'm tired of never seeing my bottom line decreasing.

Signed, Mr. Ben D Over

A few years ago my car was total and where i live you need a car, so i went to drive time and only had to put down a small amount. Now a few years later i want to trade this car in Bridge crest want double of the amount to pay off the car, no one will take this car, i pay over 500 dollars a month for a car that worth 7000 and Bridge crest have no room for negotiation. I even offer 6000 dollars to lower the pay off but no. I am upside down and with this virus my over time and income has change. They have no heart. This was the worse decision I have ever made.

Unknowledgeable and lazy. Depending on who you get, they pretend to take your call but never follow through with actual actions. Have had to follow up multiple times just to find out different information I wasnt informed of each and every time. Not sure how these people sleep at night, either.
