Horrible finance company
January 16, 2020

Recently traded in my car my new dealership contacted Bridgecrest and was given the pay off amount. Well apparently Bridgecrest only honors the pay off request for 10 days which is ridiculous it takes up to 30 days to finalize a new car deal. I was contacted stating the pay off check they received was $65.40 short and they were refusing to deposit my check from the dealership in the amount of $9400 because of $65.40. I have constantly been harassed was refused to speak with a manager then after I threatened to get my attorney involved I was transferred. Long story short I ended up paying the $65.40 and waiting to see if the check has been deposited. This has to be illegal. I would like to make a formal complaint about the illegal activity taking place with this company

I purchased a 2015 Hyundai elantra in July of 2018. Upon receiving the car, the rear brakes were toasted, Tires were Chinese made and the engine was VERY noisy. The Brakes were fixed, the tires replaced ($500.00) and 5 months later the battery failed ($200). So far $750 out of pocket tires/battery. June of 2019 the engine refused to remain running at stop signs, stalling 12+ times a day. Hyundai Rebuilt the engine at a total cost of over $4500 with parts/labor/dealer ship repairs/rental car (Hyundai paid). After an oil change the stalling has started again. Based on my records, this car has had close to $5500. 00 in repairs in 18 months... REALLY? So I elected to cash in the extended warranty. I e-mailed the warranty company and that was handled promptly, and efficiently, however, Bridgecrest claims they never received the money. After about 2 weeks I called them 4X today each time on hold for over 15 minutes. Last supervisor finally admitted they get paid via SilverRock(warranty company) 2X a month and that the payment would not post for a week the 24th, BUT... get this. Car is scheduled to be repossessed starting on the 20th of this month. WTF. I made a small payment today, to stop this as requested. I owe about $375, the warranty check is for $1081... more than enough to get me caught back up. But they REFUSE to post to payments and want to post to principal of loan ONLY... WTF again... If CapitolOne can post warranty cash out to payments, why can't Bridgecrest. This is the first in many complaints to be filed...

It's insane reading this and seeing how many ppl are having the same problem. I put $800 down for a car had an unexpected expense come up so I made my first payment late the car got repoed they kept the payment and refused to give me the car or my money back. When I say I late I mean 13 damn days and all they keep telling me is to call my bank. If I could I'd sue these ppl are extremely predatory avoid at all costs if possible.

Horrible!
January 8, 2020

I normally don't write reviews, but I am extremely upset with this company. I recently moved from Georgie to Florida and I needed to get my tag switched over. I sent the request to them in November 2019, it is now January 2020. I have been trying to get my lien to send over the title to my DMV so that I can finally get my Florida tag and they have been giving me the run around for 2 months. I already have my second temporary tag and it expires in 2 days! I tried faxing them the information, but nope the fax is always busy. I tried scanning the letter via email, and finally after 2 weeks, they finally said that the title department received the information, but it take 2-3 weeks for them to send it over, for them to then mail it to my DMV. This is crazy how I make my payments on time every week, but I cannot get them to send over the information for me to get my tag! Worse experience ever. Can't wait to get my lawyer involved oh boy we are going to have a field day with this one.

You may never know how much you borrowed, original interest, the number of remaining payments, etc. They will not make it available online and will not mail it to you either. This is a violation of Federal Law.

Crooked!
December 9, 2019

Our son had a vehicle financed with these people he was killed in a car accident, a different vehicle. They would not talk to us about anything! We received the title to the truck and my wife had it put in her name. They came in the middle of the night and took the truck! No warning didn't call or anything. We thought it had been stolen! My wife finally got hold of someone and they told her she needed to pay 1800$ TO get it back so she did a bank transfer. Then they told her we still couldn't get the truck back they don't do third party transfers. So they stole $1800 from us. Going to see our lawyer in the morning!

Terrible!
November 21, 2019

If I could rate a 0 I would! Bought a car from them, I changed banks, put the info on my account 5 days before my car payment was due so it would come out of the new bank. They failed to take the payment from my account listed. I didnt catch the error until the following friday night... so I was going to call Monday morning and correct the problem and pay the payment. They took the car on Saturday while I was at work. It was 10 days late, still had temp tags on it. When I called them that Monday morning they said I had to pay the entire balance. It's been 4 days and the car is already on the lot to be resold. This is a horrible company!

Scam- Buyer Beware
November 21, 2019

What a disgusting company! Purchased a vehicle on October 15 with a $500 down payment, first payment due November 8 but I had an unexpected expense come up so I figured I would make my payment the following week. Today, November 20 I wake up to find that the car was REPOSSESSED! What type of company does this? Literally have only had the car 5 weeks, T- tags are still on it. Unbelievable! Then, when I call them to find out what is going on, they tell me that I have to pay the ENTIRE principle to get the car back! I told them that was the shadiest business practice that I have ever heard of and they can keep the car. I will go elsewhere. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. They do NOT care about the customer. That is why they offer these terrible loans, praying on people with financial issues. Please please please believe these reviews, they are 100% accurate. Loan sharks at best.

SCAM
November 6, 2019

DO NOT GET A CAR WITH THEM, they took my car in the middle of the night while I was at a diner with my autistic son leaving me stranded but I had made the car PAYMENT 3 HOURS BEFORE they took the car. They then told me that I had to pay $14,000 to get the car back even tho the payment was up to date otherwise it was going back to drivetime and would resell the car. This whole company is definitely a scam and they flip cars. DO NOT FALL FOR IT YOU WILL 100% REGRET IT THEY WILL SCREW YOU OVER

Monkeys on Crack
November 5, 2019

This is a direct honest view of Bridgecrest.
1. Avoid if possible.
2. Be prepared to pay ridiculous interest
3. Expect questionable customer service
4. Expect non existent updates between thier accounting department and main office.
After a rather messy divorce, my credit was in the gutter.
I had lost everything, my ex destroyed my credit by using my identity to get credit cards, and the courts were as equally dismissive by giving me all the debt even though I had solid evidence that it was my ex not I racking up debt.
I had to find a vehicle quickly.
I had to go to drive time.
Right off the bat I knew there was going to taken advantage of.
Bridgecrest ( drivetime) made absolutely sure I DIDN'T get what I needed.
I kept a perfect payment record for two years.
During that time I got back on my feet and called for a pay off.
I was shocked to find out that the 14 k vehicle I was paying at the amount of 500 a month. Had a pay off of $13,675.
Heres the math. 500 per month for 24 months equals 12k
How in the hell do I owe 13+k if bridgecrest has 12k?
So, I did what any person would do.
I traded in my vehicle at a major dealership. Got a trade in value
Of 11,500 of the bridgecrest car. Negotiated additional terms with my new dealership, drove off with a 2018 vehicle at 6% interest.
Bridgecrest received a pay off. But refuse to update thier records.
I've had 2 repo trucking companies come to my home looking for a vehicle that bridgecrest KNOWS is at a dealership.
Now they are attacking my credit. EVEN THOUGH I have sent documents repeatedly proving 1. Thier vehicle is free and clear at my end.
2. I am not in possession.
Yet, Bridgecrest continues to harrass me.
My Bridgecrest experience was like playing Russian roulette.
The sufficed at the moment but got worse as time progressed.

Got a 2017 Hyundai from them was making payments no problems then the car gets totaled. In mid September. I had gap insurance thru them. They're all working together to squeeze every last payment before they close up and settle. It's now November 4 they've gotten 3 payments since the accident stated they will ruin my credit if I don't pay. I kid you not. Ask to speak to manager they put you on hold for 30+ minutes til I just hung up. Bridgecrest blames gap company and gap blames Bridgecrest. The most crooked company I've run across in a very long time

Incompetent
October 21, 2019

I paid off my loan and requested my title. I had to wait over 3 weeks and if it weren't for the fact that I called them they wouldn't have released the lien to the DMV.
The worst customer service ever. Wouldn't even give me a release letter.
This Company is terrible at communication and getting the job done never use them again I suggest you don't either

Ripped
October 20, 2019

Bought a 2012 Chevy from Dr T financed through bridgecrest, 2nd car I have bought there. Paid the first off 1.5 yrs. Early so decided to replace after many issues. Drove car home all was fine My first payment was 5 days late suppose to have a 7 day grace period I called explained the reason and told them the payment would be paid within 3 days I was in the process of changing banks. The next day I woke up the car was gone during the night sent a repo theft. I had just put new floor mats, and personal items in the car and all was gone this company and people are all thieves I would never recommend either of the companies. Buyer Beware.

I financed a used car and after 3 years (and still owing 2) I have spent around $6,000. On this car. Last week it broke down again on my way to a mandatory workshop at work. I have maxed my credit cards just trying to keep it running. I had two mechanics tell me the car was in bad accidents(there were still things under the hood on the front bent) And, it had rusty parts underneath as if it had been flooded. Even the trunk where you keep the spare tire and jack. The first time I tried to use it the jack was rusty and the area underneath was rusty and all dried out.

They are horrible
October 7, 2019

Bought a car from drive time and it was financed by bridgecrest I was two weeks late on my payment and they came and got my car in the middle of the night. Called to get it back and even though I could make my payment they wouldn't let me have my car back. They said they were having out of the loan and the only way to keep my car was to pay the car off. Wouldn't work with me at all.

My husband purchased a 2017 Equinox for me through Carvana and was financed through Bridgecrest. Down payment was 1400. 00 Car note was 449.00 a month. We paid 2 weeks before the due date. The goal was always to refinance or trade in after 6 months. We did just that. We traded it in for a 2019 Equinox and got a 6.8 interest rate through GM financial. We kept the vehicle in great shape. I say this to say, we paid on time, built our credit, fixed our credit, and now our scores are in the high 600s to low 700s. This was done in a 6 month time frame. We never had to call customer service until today because we wanted to make sure that they received the payoff check from the dealership. I rated them 4 stars because I had to get a supervisor on the phone to get a general question asked. We made it work for us and I am pleased. Interest rate dropped 18 points. I am grateful. Take the time to make the situation work for you.

I understand that this is a subprime financing company; however I also believe that if you are dealing with people who are already struggling with bills, credit, etc you should be more mindful of their customer service experience. I do not have any problems with their interest rates or my payments, it's my fault for allowing my credit to be this bad. I do blame them for having customer service rep that seem impatient, talk loud, and say sarcastic remarks when asking simple questions like how much is my pay-off or does the company offer holiday payment reliefs. Not a good look Bridgecrest, not a good look!

The company is the worst
September 27, 2019

I honestly can't wait to refinance and step away from this stupid company. I make my payments early every two weeks and because after I made a payment they still tried to debit my account they are telling me I have to pay $15... it's not about the money it's just why charge a good paying on time (early actually) person for something that was clearly a mistake and I have never in the 8 months I been with company had a good customer service experience... DONT FINANCE WITH THIS COMPANY... they are rude and really unfair...
