Best in shipping!

I have used another US-based forwarding company before and I can confidently say that Borderlinx provided much better services at much lower costs; there are no registeration fees, no storage fees for 30 days. I ordered a number of shirts from five separate stores and released all at once, so this was consolidated in one tracking number(which saved me first half kilo charges) that arrived to me in perfect condition. But, above everything else, what I value the most is the exceptional customer service delivered by Anand. He patiently and heartily responded to my questions and requests in a timely manner; I felt like communicating with a friend that is genuinely concerned about your needs and trying his best to help you. Bravo!

I worked for Borderlinx for over 30 days as a shipping and receiving agent. I signed a contract that I would be paid $10.00 for each shipment that I sent out for the first 28 days, After 28 days, each shipment will be $15.00. It has been over 37 days. Management will not respond to my email. I have not been paid. What can I do?

Recently I purchase a hardware from the UK n used Borderlinx. I can fairly say, what has indicated on the response n work attitude on the customer services staff are fairly accurate. Not fixing this issue which customers have been indicating will affect the borderlinx in the long run. Personally, I will not use them again. When staff makes a mistake in estimating shipping cost to the point that it is 110% more than the given professional estimate & customers have to pick up that tab cos item is already in its warehouse, it really feels like a blackmailing in progress. Even if its an estimate, I believe 110% over the provided est cost for shipping is really not called an estimate, its call a mistake or error in the quotation given. Of cos, this is my opinion based on the experience I had with my only time usage from them. You might have a better experience unlike the 62% who have given 2/5 stars ratings.

1 star rating indicates - "Doesn't get any worse than this. Stay away!". Is utterly appropriate for the company mentioned.

Just saw Borderlinx replied to my review. Sadly the person replied did not read up on the case that was mentioned. It was their staff that provided the estimates, not me. I went online a requested borderlinx staff to provide the estimates, which she did. Just 110% difference from the amount I had to pay. You can see more details in your facebook if the admin of this site n fb site is a different person. I think what irritates most of the customers who commented here is when a mistake is made, the organisation does not take it in and learn from it to make its organisation a stronger one. But then again, thats my opinion.

Dear Alex, Provided the correct details were entered in the online Cost Calculator, the estimate will nearly be the same as the actual cost when the package arrive. The variance in the shipping fee will arise when the customer enters the 'items' weight/dims instead of the outer 'package'' it will be delivered it. We have clearly stated on the website that we will always consider both the dead weight and volumetric weight of the package and heavier one will be used to calculate the shipping fee.

If you can share your Suite number, we can directly email you how the calculation has been done. Its absolutely transparent and surely not misleading.

However, we feel sorry that you didn't find the service to your expectation. We always keep improving and customer satisfaction is our top priority. We completely believe in providing a hassle free shopping experience from across the border from the comfort of your home and strive to provide you the same service always.

*UPDATE AT BOTTOM*

I ordered some automotive polishes, foam pads, and nitrile gloves from www.autogeek.net and I had the option of shipping to Canada directly. I opted for Borderlinx because I also had 3 more shipments coming in and I wanted to take advantage of their package consolidation for slightly cheaper shipping.

Unfortunately, in hindsight, I should have just sent all my packages directly to Canada and eat the extra $90 USD in shipping because Borderlinx has decided that my package was "dangerously flammable". I asked them to contact Autogeek to confirm the flammability but the Indian rep (he only answers in the evening and his English is not so great) has decided that their decision is final.

I have no beef with Indian reps except that he is unable to make that decision since he is literally across the ocean. The idea of my "entire package" being "dangerously flammable" (I am using their words here) is laughable. I will now have to pay for the shipping back to Autogeek and repay shipping directly to Canada.

The idea of shipping consolidation is a good idea except that Borderlinx refuses to investigate possible false positives.

I wish I never had used Borderlinx in the first place. If I paid directly, it would have already been at my door by now. Instead, I will have to pay double shipping and the shipping will be a minimum of 2 weeks late.

*UPDATE*
Spoke with customer service and he said that if I get them the MSDS for the chemicals that they would look at it and reassess their "flammability". I forwarded the MSDS from the vendor to Borderlinx and I was certain that this would not present a problem. Unfortunately, a 600 degree F ignition for a single chemical helped them to determine that my entire package is dangerously flammable.

I have to pay $20 "administration fee" and the cost of the return shipment to the vendor, Autogeek.

I spoke with Autogeek and they have been very helpful. I will be getting my shipment shipped to Canada thanks to Autogeek.

I thought I was smart saving ~$90 in shipping but instead, I paid at least another $150. I learned my lesson: never use Borderlinx

Dear Chris,

Necessary expertise and licenses is required to handle dangerous/flammable goods through airlines as per IATA regulations. Unfortunately, Borderlinx don't have one, and hence we restrict anything that is considered dangerous or is alcohol based (flammable). Our prohibition list is as extensive as we can make out, but its not practicable to list all items- It would run into millions.

You can always check if an item can be shipped with the support team prior to purchase. We regret the situation you were and advise you to understand the standard prohibition regulation across the industry.

Waste of Money
February 8, 2016

I paid a lot of money to have a shipment sent from the USA to Thailand. The shipment was stuck in customs for 3 days and Borderlinx never contacted DHL to resolve, even after I contacted them twice. Finally, I got tired of waiting and contacted DHL to resolve myself.

All shipment issues in transit are handled on highest priority. We communicate with our special DHL officer-in-charge to expedite early resolution. However, there is no way for us to know in advance if a shipment is held at customs, or is delayed until DHL or customer contact us. Please share your AWB or Suite number so we can investigate/. Do not use this service!

I have used many shipping forwarders in from the USA, this by far is the worst, I cant describe how a ripoff this company is, the reps are not professionals, the website is not functional, the service is below what I ever seen in my life, they are very difficult to work with and they are very expensive, 25 dollars admin fees only to consolidate shipment! While many other services do it for free or much less, they don't do anything to help their customers, I urge your to look else where and save your money, MYus or shipitto is the way to go, don't waste time with this service its a ripoff

Dear Yousif, We do not charge any consolidation fee. You can consolidate upto 20 separate packages under single order and all will be processed and delivered t you under the same tracking number. We allow 30 days Free storage as well in order to allow our customers to shop and get their items delivered to the Borderlinx account so they can enjoy the consolidation services.

UK to US delivery

This was my first time using this service. I wanted a bag that was no longer available in U.S. (Burberry) so I searched and found it in the UK. I was a little hesitant, initially, using this delivery service because of the total cost of my purchase but the reviews online were mostly positive. I ordered from Burberry UK on 1/13/16 and my purchases were received and logged in online, promptly, for me to track. The shipping cost was consistent with the estimated calculator cost and my purchases were set up to ship on 1/15/16 (Friday). The tracking information for DHL was updated and my purchase was shipped on 1/18/16; I received them this morning around 10:45am. All of my purchases remained in their original boxes and in mint condition. I was able to track from departure, through customs, to my home. I am extremely pleased with Boderlinx services and I will continue to use them in the future.

I had a package that has should come to them, but there has been a problem, because they say to me that their UK address is Daventry, but the postal code is of Northampton, then the customer service, doesn't know the difference among a county and a city, Northampton and Daventry are two different cities, and Northamptonshire is a county, and I m not of UK and I know this things, Then to fix the problem I ask them to send me an old tracking number to verify the address and they sent me fake codes which I couldn't verify, or they said to me that they can't share this private information. When this happened I understand that they are far away to be professionals and make business.

I just had my first and last shipment for two boots both coast me USD123. And imagine the shipping coast from borderlinx after entering promotion code of %15 is ((( USD 150))).

Come on are you serious!

Note for Borderlinx:

There is no any justification for that much of coast, so please save the effort and go back to and change your policy or by short time you'll have no customers.

It's not my fault that you deal with DHL you can give the customer other reasonable options like USPS less coast, even if it take long time at the end it's my decision.

What added value you've gave me when the shipping coast is higher than the 2 items itself. I can wait for one month I'm not in a hurry!

I've tried BedaBox much better, I just wanted to give you a try and I badly regret it.

Unlike local shipping, international shipping is calculated based on the heavier of dead weight or on the volumetric weight. Many customers may over look the size of the package when they purchase and are surprised when the shipping cost is more then they have expected. Unfortunately, that's how any courier handling international shipment will calculate the shipping cost.
Reason why we also provide our customers a wonderful tool, the online Cost Calculator to get an estimate before purchasing. As you can check anytime, the tool clearly mention the that outer box weight and dimensions are crucial in getting a fair estimate.
Also, Borderlinx mode of shipment delivery is Delivery Duty Paid (DDP). The service enable you to pay upfront all the cost including shipping, duty/tax and we handle the paperwork and clearance at customs on your behalf. Therefore, there is absolutely no surprises on delivery with hidden charges etc. nlike local shipping, is based on the heavier of dead/real weight or on the volumetric/dimensional weight.

Do not use BORDERLINX

They damaged a vintage sewing pattern that I had finally found after years of searching, by slashing the envelope open with a box cutter! The pattern is completely worthless, now, yet they neglected to mention they damaged it, and sent it on to me. When i contacted them about this matter, they told me there was nothing they would do about it as they would have reported the damage to me if they had caused it. No-one else could have caused this damage, let me tell you! Rip-off, unreliable morons - please do NOT use this despicable company.

Dear David, The hub is managed by professionals and such incidents are extremely rare. In many cases, the packages are opened and inspected by customs officer and such incidents can occur in transit as well. Unfortunately, any issue in transit is beyond our control; reason why we do offer our customers the Safetylinx insurance which cover the complete item price and shipping fee paid to Borderlinx. Any similar incident at the warehouse, if at all, is highlighted and considered as internal incident leading to direct refund. We understand some items are of high personal value, however, we cannot replace such items. Any eventuality of loss/damage in transit, which are again very rare, will be settled as claim as per the procedure. Regret any inconvenience caused. Regards

I ordered a trampoline on Amazon for my grandson living in Ireland. I am in the US and Amazon UK would not ship the item to Ireland. So I found Borderlinx and decided to use them. I was expecting it to be expensive but wanted to surprise my grandson. I bought it over a month before Christmas to make sure there was plenty of time. Once the package arrived there and I was notified to release the shipment I was shocked to find out that they would only ship it overnight express air freight at a cost of over $900! I was in complete shock. The item cost me $275 including shipping to Borderlinx. My only option was to return the item to Amazon and try to recoup some of my money. The problem is between their return costs and ridiculously complicated process I have decided to cut my losses. I'm sure they have a warehouse full of items just like mine that they will sell. I hope some child gets it and enjoys it like I wanted my grandson to.

Expensive but reliable

Where I live, untracked shipments tend to disappear en-route or arrive months late, so even if a website offers international shipping, if they don't use couriers I prefer to use a forwarder. Borderlinx have never let me down, everything I've shipped through them has arrived in a timely manner and hassle free. I've been using them for years, first for shipment to Singapore and then to where I am now, never had any problems with them.

They would not ship my item as they claimed an item was prohibited (out of 2 items!) and would not tell me which. They would not allow me to ship it back & charge my credit card and only if paid via Penpal. There help desk just wrote back pasting part of their agreements. This company is a bad, expensive and incompetent.

Hello Babar, Sad to know that your purcahsed item is prohibited. Though we try to provide an extensive list of items/categories that are restricted per import/export regulations and safety regulations per IATA's, we regret the situation.

Beware hidden fees
November 8, 2015

Borderlinx charges a storage fee of $5 PER DAY of your packages after their "free" storage period. The supposed email notification that the package arrived never made it to my inbox. Now I am left with an option of shipping ONE $5 item on a shipping charge of $28. I tried to order a few more items but with shipping times of 9+ days, that's $45 in storage charges.

If you were waiting for multiple packages to arrive to save on costs, and one of them is delayed (beyond their "free" storage period) you are really really screwed.

Never will use this service again. STAY AWAY.

Dear Patrick, Sad to know storage fee has applied on your shipments. We believe 30 days of Free storage is an amazing idea for you to shop and wait for all the items to be delivered to your account. Shipping together - consolidated, helps you save on shipping cost in amaazing ways. However, storing and managing goods the warehouse is an expensive affair and we cannot hold them for ever. On the line of providing customer friendly freight forwarding services to our customers, we store the goods for 30 days absolutely for Free. However, extended stay will incur you cost as per the policy and which is clearly explained on our website FAQs. Additionally, being a responsible company we try to keep our customers updated by sending 'Notification' email when the items are updated to the account, and reminder emails before and after storage applies. Due to several reasons you may not get these reminders, and which is unfortunate, but it does not undermine the policy we have and we expect our customers to be aware off.

BEWARE of BORDERLINX

As a first time customer I can tell you my initial experience was HORRIBLE. I was on the look out for a rare putter and bought one on ebay - only to discover they didn't ship to Canada. I had it shipped to Borderlix and paid an ungodly sum of 55$ to ship it to me. While I realize this is the cost of doing business - the item arrived broken in two.

The result - a putter I can't return or use (can't even fix it) and a request for refund - where borderlinx paid me 51$ instead of the 85$ it cost me for the item I can't return, shipping.

Well played borderlinx - your policy of refunding less than the value of the item YOU destroyed is disappointing.

I would find alternative methods as they are not reliable or responsible for your items.

Buyer Beware.

Borderlinx provide SafetyLinx opt-in protection for your goods in transit from our hub to you. It provides the assurance and peace of mind that your purchases are protected in the event of loss or damage in transit. Unfortunately, your shipment was not insured and hence DHL liability claim was filed and compensated as per their T&Cs. We encourage you to opt-in for insurance in future at a small premium.

I have used this service four times now and the price has always been cheaper than other carriers. I love that they repackage and consolidate packages for me, and there is always a customer service representative available to talk to live.

I used Borderlinx to purchase some stuff from Amazon worth $45. Amazon was costing $ 25 for the intl shipping whereas Borderlinx shipping cost calculator was showing $20. Not a big diff but i wanted to try Borderlinx. This cheat company is now quoting whopping $135 for something worth $45. Customer service is behaving as if it was my mistake to use them. They hold my shipment to ransom now. Customer service is pathetic and gives only standard lines for an answer. Not sure how Amazon could offer $25 for shipment to US to UAE and Borderlinx, which specializes in this field, is asking for $135. IT IS A BIG SCAM! STAY AWAY

Hello Vishal, Firstly our shipping rates are competitive and reasonable. We use DHL to deliver the items which is known for its prompt and hassle free deliveries. Please note that the cost of transporting a shipment can be affected by the amount of space that it occupies on an aircraft, rather than the actual weight. If you provide the correct inputs in the Cost Calculator tool we have on the website, it should give you a fair estimate. The reason why some customer may get wrong estimate is because they provide the dimensions of the item they want to purchase, rather then the dimensions of the package.
Additionally, our cost include applicable duty/tax and we handle the paperworks and clearance on your behalf. So you do not have to pay anything on delivery. This option is not available with most sellers including Amazon.

I like how they don't need subscription fees to maintain your account. But this is offset by their shipping price.

Hello Emmett, There is always a minimum shipping fee for international cargo. Additionally, we use DHL on the best in the industry known for its reliable and prompt services. The best way to shop and ship economonically is using our consolidation services. Shop using same account with family and friends and ship the items together under one order. This way you save a lot on the shipping fee, then shipping them separately.

Wow. Amazing. I have no other words to say to borderlinx people. I purchased earbud replacement tips for 30$. You know they are very little and they can be squeezed etc. A 3cm x 3cm x 3cm package can hold up to 200 maybe 300 tips. But well they charged me 26 USD for only 26 tips. I was happy with borderlinx before. But after this I dont think I ll ever use their service again. Also dont waste your time with customer service it is indeed a waste of time.
