Boost Mobile's reputation is significantly marred by consistent complaints regarding customer service and product reliability. Customers frequently express frustration over long wait times, inadequate support, and unresolved service issues, including poor coverage and delays in order fulfillment. While some positive feedback highlights helpful individual representatives, the overall sentiment indicates a lack of cohesive support and organization within the company. Additionally, concerns about misleading information and billing practices further detract from customer satisfaction. This combination of factors suggests a pressing need for Boost Mobile to enhance its customer service protocols and improve service reliability to retain its clientele.

On Aug. 25,2021, I ordered a phone from Boost Mobile, mistakenly thinking it was a store, rather than a carrier. As soon as I received the confirmation email, asking me to create a phone account, I realized my mistake. I already have a carrier; I only wanted a new phone. I called immediately to cancel the purchase. It is now, Oct. 1. I have been trying unsuccessfully to get a refund from them EVER SINCE AUGUST. I do not recommend doing business with this company.
Well I've used boost mobile for the past 8 years… I moved to a new place to live in September 2022. This is shortly after they switched to T mobile towers. There was no service at my new place… I was currently paying on an I phone with my boost mobile plan as well. I was halfway done with the payments. I wanted to bundle my phone service with my cable company spectrum, at least for better service at the new home. So I called boost and ask them could I take my phone with me. They said yes ok that I would have to pay out my iPhone balance witch was $315 dollars. So I go into our savings for the money( at very least for better phone service) and I pay the phone out for a total of about $650 for the iPhone. So I go into Spectrum store expecting my phone that I completely paid for to be unlocked and ready to move with me to whatever phone company of my choice which is spectrum. (At least for better service) which is my phone and my choice either way). Spectrum tells me that my phone is still locked. I called boost mobile and tell them that my phone is paid for but you have not unlocked it. I can tell right away that the lady was waiting on my call as if there were notes on my account already of my intentions. Because she was immediately saying hold on let me check to see if you eligible to be unlocked. I told her that when I called the other day they said to just pay the phone out to be unlocked. She kept talking over me saying "let me see if your eligible" I say " why wouldn't I be"? I bought the phone. She was rude and it sounded like she was playing a joke on me by saying hold on let me get a manager to help you. Sounds like she was laughing at me. I'd wait while the music played for 5 min and she'd get back on the phone saying please wait in a sarcastic tone as if it was funny. This went on for about 25 minutes. I'm humiliated in the spectrum store of about 20 people waiting in line. I had just paid that money to boost mobile thinking that my phone would be unlocked and I could switch to spectrum to bundle and have service at my home and boost just took my money and laughed and I seriously couldn't use them anymore. So this is awful. Be careful if you're buying a phone from them because they switched up on me real fast by coming up or telling me after I made the full payment that I had to wait a year before I could take my phone away from their service.
I love the service & friendly staff I just wish that people as myself that have a family plan could do bogo on their phones when needed to upgrade or replace phones
If I could rate boost a 0 I would. Not only is it the absolute pest service I have ever had but the customer service is equally as awful.
Lets start with customer service... that it has become very hard to understand anything they are saying for one... So my young son dropped his phone and cracked the screen you can't see anything on the screen so I called boost and they ask for a pin. I dont know the pin to my son's phone and neither does he because he never put a pin on the phone. They told me that they cant help me. So if you have a family plan with these guys make sure you get every Factory pin number that they have on your phone or you will doing what I'm going today switch phone service ASAP...
Beside that the signal is bad, this Company is a ripoff. I order a phone on line, they made a mistake and they don't giving me my money back. Customer service isn't working right. Plus I moved one of my lines to a different Company, and they never released the line, so I have to get a new number, I couldn't transfer my number. Don't make business with Boost, believe me is a headache.
They throttle your data down super slow it was a good company before dish wireless took over I used to be able to game with Xbox but not since it was bought out
Don't lose your pin # or you will have to remember what you ate 10 years ago, who you were with and what were the political events at that time.
WORSE SERVICE EVERRR
I repeat do not ever get this service every time I pay my bill a few days later I have no service can't make calls or receive cannot use data nothing bruh this when it comes time to pay the bill the service magically comes back on …. ITS A SCAM DO NOT PAY GOR IT AND THEY WILL NOT REFUND YOU
Boostmobile kept sending me text messages to get my free 5G card for my phone. So after several messages I decided to get the free SIM card. Seeing how the network was being upgraded. It was mentioned that to get the best service I would have to get the card. What I wasn't told till after getting the card and calling Boost to activate the new card was that they would increase my monthly bill. BEWARE of BOOSTMOBILE and it deceptive practices. They refused to put me back on my old plan.
I have been a boost mobile customer on and off for over 20 years where there service was available to me where i was living at the time before they where bought by sprint they where great after sprint still was not to bad for 3g and 4g service but since t mobile merger there customer service has just been so bad i left the carrier for a 5 g network bought brand new phone from website said unlocked called before ordering sales rep stated yes will come unlocked so i purchased phone. Got new phone it was locked and they refusue to unlock phone even with being loyal customer that line had been active over a year still refused when you pay for something and expect to be unlocked like quoted they should refund money or unlock device sad when dont honor what they tell you
Virgin accounts were NOT grandfathered and rates were doubled for pay as you go. Boost refused to reimburse our 2 Virgin accounts with stored credits of almost $800. The account transition was fraudulent and very misleading in my opinion.
Boost promised unlimited data and 30gigs of hotspots but data runs out CONTINUOUSLY AFTER THE FIRST WEEK INTO YOUR PLAN MONTH! ANd you're left with a useless phone for 3 wks of the month! And it's not that fast even when it says u have data BOOST MOBILE IT A CRAPPY SERVICE PROVIDER AND SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS AT ALL!
I'm now understanding why people have told me that boost mobile is the worst phone company to go with I tried to go do Boost Mobile change my mind before they even sent me the chip I was charged. My old carrier gave me a discount because of disability, anyway call Boost Mobile to get my money back they told me I had no account with them I never put the SIM card in my phone it is still in the packet she told me I have to go to my bank and try and fix it there she couldn't do anything because I had no account number they never sent me one worst phone company ever dealt with I'd give it a zero but one was the lowest stay away from Boost Mobile
Boost Mobile made me lose my phone number I've had for the last 12 years. They are rude, contradicting and untrained bullies. I called Boost to try activate a Sim and bring over my existing number and was told to call my current provider and disconnect the number first. I thought this sounded wrong but the operator repeated the instruction and confirmed I SHOULD cancel with my current provider first. So I did as l was told and then called Boost back where another operator answered and told me I SHOULDN'T have cancelled my number and they now can't bring it over. I explained that their colleague just told me to do this and was then met with "do you have proof?", "sorry can't do anything now", "that's too bad".
Please steer away if you have any sense, I would advise to run away if you can. Absolutely incapable customer service (I really don't understand the point of them in the first place, all they do is enter numbers you give them and Parrott scripts even if you talk to a "supervisor" who decides to hang up on you when she realizes she can't do anything). Did you ever have a customer service representative (apparently a supervisor with 10 years of "experience") hang up on you without even really trying to help?
My issue for what it matters is with the fact their site told me my phone is "eligible" to be activated on the network. Apparently this is not the same as "it will work"... I made a mistake of paying for a full year of service in advance... (for a discount...) based on that piece of misinformation. I am simply stupefied that no one there is able to override the system and just link the IMEIs. Apparently it took them 4 months to get S21 phones to work...
I am guessing whoever made their system is long gone and the current people are criminally incapable. It is a recipe for disaster. Use at your own peril.
Boost is the worst phone company ever. Bad network, bad customer service, bad activation portal and bad service.
Paris Store Manager at 3130 Washington rd, did a good job. This is Emma Fyfe, she is a good worker & she gave me a discount on my flip phone. I would rate her a 10/10!
One of the worst customer service departments I have seen. Be very aware that you cannot trust them. Coverage they say will be outstanding may not work at all. They will ship you the phone and when the phone does not work they will send a new Sim. But be very careful. The time to get the sim will count against you for the 7 day return policy. And they you are stuck! You will have a phone a Bill and NO service. None, Zero,
And Nada. And then you have to beg to a talk to a Supervisor, he is rude, does not care and will tell you basically tough luck. He does not offer to help in any way. A real jerk. Even says that there is no on in Boost Mobile higher than himself so there is no one else to call. BEWARE! Terrible. Warning! Do NOT deal with them.
Its only gonna get worse. From the slow data to the cheap phones to the not so autopay service. No after hours customer service. Customer service stated my service would be restored at midnight. Still no service am using some one else's hot spot to write this. They have my ebb.
Answer: I hope so. I want to join. Its not right how they steal money from hardworking people like me.
Answer: You can contact them, but do not bother, they all are trained to act like they know what they are doing but in reality they DO NOT CARE!
Answer: They are worthless. I would not ever recommend them. While their promotions are legit, their service quality sucks.
Answer: Need to change phone to another PHONE. My phone was stolen
Answer: Metro by Tmobile is definitely a step up from Boost. As with all cell phone companies in the store or on line make sure you check out reviews like You Tube before you purchase.
