Boost Mobile Reviews Summary

Boost Mobile's reputation is significantly marred by consistent complaints regarding customer service and product reliability. Customers frequently express frustration over long wait times, inadequate support, and unresolved service issues, including poor coverage and delays in order fulfillment. While some positive feedback highlights helpful individual representatives, the overall sentiment indicates a lack of cohesive support and organization within the company. Additionally, concerns about misleading information and billing practices further detract from customer satisfaction. This combination of factors suggests a pressing need for Boost Mobile to enhance its customer service protocols and improve service reliability to retain its clientele.

Their customer service is the WORST! When I called the customer service number after waiting 30mins each time... they hung up on me FIVE times. I think the reps didn't want to deal with the issue and hung up on purpose cause they didn't know how to fix the issue. (I was getting text msgs on my new and old phone) They removed my son from my plan and reported my phone lost although I did not call for them to do any of that maintenance. They don't listen! Then to call back AGAIN after my sons phone was turned off and wait 45mins to be hung up AGAIN was so fusterating! And they charge you $25 just to swap phones at a store. I usually would do myself online but my new phone that I bought from boost mobile online wasn't working! I'm definitely looking into switching carriers.

Bad customer service.
March 17, 2022

On hold for 1 1/2 hour. They took over sprint. Boost is owed by dish network. That explains the horrible customer service. As of March 2022 service is almost nonexistent. They claim they use AT&T network. I have one AT&T cell. Works no problem. Three boost, they don't work where I live. Customer service told you need a new phone. So $300 later still no service. Would not refund or unlock the phone. So I have a Samsung A71 useless phone. I did manage to get a $10 credit. I have three business cells with them. Two cell phones at home. So they lost 5 phones. Switched to AT&T. You would think they would take back the cell phone. Only lose two accounts. Nope would rather lose five accounts. Bad business. The A71 phone is a very nice phone.

Every since they changed there sim cards, you can't get service well. Before the change I had great service in my area, never an issue. Since the change I can't get service easy and that goes for 911 service that is suppose to be gotten no matter what. I have went to two different Boost stores and both tell me tuff luck nothing they can do. Have called and told them issue and all they say is sorry. How can you go from great service to poor to no service. Thankfully I have wifi, but that does not help for phone calls. Boost needs to get their crap together and fix the issue, like yesterday. I have been with Boost for at least 15 years and NEVER had issues till all the crap they did. Smh, poor company, poor management, poor service. My proof of purchase roflmao every month I pay my bill over phone.

I have to upgrade my phone due to being on a 3G network. After being with Boost over 12 years.
I purchased a new phone directly from Boost. After going to a store location and spending 2 hours there AND calling customer service 4 times over a 3 week period. They tell me my phone can not be activated. And they refuse to take the return.
Each time I spoke to a representative they tell me they are sending the issue to "escalations". I have NOT received any communications from such a department. Who knows if "escalations" really exist.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE!

I had boost mobile since 2014 with the same number. Everything was great until tmobile took over. I installed tmobile sim card in November and in less than a week they cut off my unlimited data and my 30gig hotspot was all gone and I was cut off from all data. Since then I have switched to straight talk. This phone carrier is terrible.

This company, and its independent stores, all are the worst you'll find, they try grab as much money from you, so you stay with them. Even a cheap monthly, excuse me, yearly plan, isn't any good if it isn't working, most local stores offer crappy service, are open when they decide to come there. Again never, ever fool with this company, even carriers that are smaller offer better service. Also they're coverage, way overrated.

Never again
March 11, 2022

Where do I start. The company is not what it use to be. I've been with boost for 10 years give or take. It all started when I had to do the stupid upgrade. I ordered a phone tried to change the number. But have my old number transferred to another carrier. But keep my Boost account active. We'll let's just say after talking with at least 8 different people nothing was accomplished. I paid my 80 dollars for this month and they canceled my account. They gave me a number for the new phone and turn it off. I called to get it turn back on, but they had the nerve to tell me I would have to pay an activation fee of 67 dollars. I just paid 80. I'm done good luck with them. I asked for Corporate and got hung up on more than once. Customer Service Sucks.

I was told they put a glass cover on my phone to keep it from shattering my screen if I dropped it... I dropped it and took it back to boost to remove the screen and apparently try they never put one on. He asked me if I wanted a new phone... but I would have to pay for it! I won't continue woth this service and would not advise any one else to get it!

Boost mobile and the people that work for them have been saying "5G is here!" for quite some time. I have not seen 5G on my toolbar yet. Since I replaced my sim card for the free"5G" card, my phone is running slower, many more ads pop up, probably the only reason for the sim card switch.
I requested the new card three times before I finally received it. I went to three different stores and asked for the new card they tried to charge from $12 to $37 for the swap and I was asked to show them the ad on the Boost site, I walked out.
It was almost a month before I could use the service. I bought the phone and was told to call customer service to activate the the phone after two hours of troubleshooting, the attendant sent me home to call customer service, two days later I took the phone back to the store, still with no service, I left the phone there and five days later, still no service but sent home to fend for myself again. A competent friend was able to complete the activation. I was given true unlimited data service at $40 a month for life but with the new 5G service the lifetime agreement was not in my file and either I pay $50/mo with a cap on data or my service would be terminated. I asked to speak with a supervisor, I did not get to speak with anyone, I was put on hold and left. Anyone had that happen? It's only my opinion that Boost management has instructed and trained the reps to fend off anticipated problems with loyal customers. I don't care to go into any more of the many complaints I have with Boost. I don't care to associate or do business with liars. 1.3 star customer rating tells the truth about Boost management values. It's only my opinion, the lone customer.
The joke is on you Boost, I'm leaving.

Been over 12 days without any signal bars. I've called every day and still don't know what's going on. Customer service has put me on hold for over an hour. I had to disconnect since no one was there to help. I'm changing phone service. I've been with boost for years and this happened. I was told I would get credit to my account. Boost took my payment but credit was never applied to my account.

Horrible
March 3, 2022

This company is so unprofessional. My phone service hasn't worked for a month and every time I call to get it fixed, an employee tells me a different story and I still don't end up getting the help I need. I've asked for a manager multiple times but the employees say they need my number but I have never got a call back. Over all this is the worst phone company I've had I wouldn't recommend it unless it's your very last option.

Abysmal
March 3, 2022

My sister purchased 2 phones with sim cards over 2 months ago was only able to activate 1 calling results in them saying either the phone will work in 3 days or they will call back the next day. They never call back she has been on the phone with them for hours with no results. She needs the phone for work. As it's past 30 days that won't take a return I will not recommend them to anyone.

I was told by boost that I will be able to get a free phone, I got an email and a text about the free phone I went to 7 diffirent stores in my area and beyond wasting time and money and gas none of the stores would grant me the phone and I called and some woman said for the problems you are having I will send you the phone, but never got it, called customer service and explained the problem and they do not care it was a store issue not their problem. I am shopping for another cell service company

I have been a customer for 10 years. I upgraded my SIM as instructed and ran into a problem that rendered my phone unusable. I was told they would open a ticket, and would be resolved in 48-72 hours. Then 4 days later I was informed those were "working hours". Then I was told there was no ticket. 6 day in and still no phone, and no resolution. But hey the rep will continuously give you the scripted "we apologize for... Blah Blah Blah"; they all know that statement word for word.
