Dissatisfied
December 9, 2021

I am thoroughly appalled, and I'm every bit of annoyed, unpleased, and overall frankly I'm disgusted! No words could even express the amount of unpleased I am, except maybe a few vulgarities. Boost has dedicated it's time to wasting mine, and isn't something I would even recommend to a bum on the street! They have lost a great customer today, I paid every bill on time, and never asked for an extension. I hate this company, and always will. I'll say this in full confidence in the face of the Lord, Amen! My phone recently broke, and my "insurance" sent me this ugly "cricket wireless" looking phone, seriously though, if I had food stamps... I'd be able to get a better phone... For free, I'm not in any way trying to come off as "ignorant" "intitled" or "ungrateful" but I'm just sick to my stomach. I don't even give half of a pretend care, if it WAS the newest version of the phone I had! It's still ugly, and I'd literally rather go amish for a week than to use that hideous great value, dhgate, chapter 13 bankrupt looking phone! Ever!

Horrible customer service
December 7, 2021

Boost suspended my account without warning for a chargeback and they double charged me in the first place. Paid the $35 charge back the same day they suspended my account and have yet to have my account restored after speaking with multiple agents who told me my account would be restored within 24 hrs. It is now going on the 3rd day and I have yet to have my service restored

The WORST customer service ever imaginable!
December 3, 2021

I've spent hours and hours trying to get a sim card to join their "new expanded network." Been a customer for over 10 years. Had one customer service rep say the sim card was mailed. Waited for 3 weeks, then called in to ask about it. Oh sorry they say, sent to the wrong address. Then call back and spend another hour of my time doing this again with another rep who, after I double checked online. Entered my address wrong. Then called again and over an hour on hold... am told I can't order a sim card and to have someone I know on the mainland order me one and send it to me in Hawaii. I'm currently still on hold (an hour and a half later now) waiting for a supervisor! They must outsource their workers in another country, nobody knows what they are doing and they have majorly wasted my time. I'm ready to switch to Verizon based on this. Horrible Customer Service and this has been for YEARS and YEARS. Not just this horrendous review experience.

Do NOT buy a cell phone directly from Boost Mobile! Despite being a NON-contract service company, they have a HIDDEN contract on their cell phones. They don't tell you that any phone you buy from them is LOCKED until you pay them for 12 months of service on the SAME phone and SAME phone number. (So yeah, DON'T change your number either or the clock starts over). NOwhere during the phone buying process did I see anything about the phone being locked for 12 months. I paid over $500 outright for a Samsung phone in March, but since I telework and hardly use the phone I wanted to move to Mint Mobile for $15 month. Boost refused to unlock my phone even though I had been a customer for several YEARS already. The supervisor also tried to LIE and say that FCC made the 12 month rule, which is pure nonsense! They basically took one customer who thought highly of them and MIGHT have come back some day, and made that person an enemy and now I will let everyone know about what happened. This in and of itself is proof of poor customer service, when they could have unlocked my phone but instead decided to upset a customer. It's not like I got a huge deal on a cell phone. I bought from Boost because I thought it would be safer than Amazon, not because I saved a bunch of money and owed them for the savings.

Lies lies lies
November 28, 2021

The government made available a plan for people with financial difficulties to obtain internet access or & plan service through phone carriers. Boost Mobile seems to have used this to bring more customers to their website. Not only do they have links to their own website advertising this option, but if you try to look for other places to communicate about their non-compliance with that program those websites ultimately take you right back to Boost Mobile to sign up for their regular plans.
I initially followed their instructions to apply for this program which took me next to the government website. I then applied there & was accepted. I was told now to let Boost Mobile or some other carrier know that I had been accepted. Boost Mobile asked me for my e-code. I talked with the government rep who said no such code was necessary or existed. He said all that was necessary to tell Boost was that my application had been accepted & give my application number. When I returned to Boost Mobile to tell them this, they now said they had no record of my application. They said that I needed to apply for one & upload my information which I had done before.
In other words, even though the government said I was accepted into the program, Boost was not going to accept that government acceptance and enroll me in the program.
What seems to be going on here is the infamous & illegal 'bait & switch' game where a business will use one item to draw you to their business & then that initial option will not be available. Next they plan to sign you up (in this case) to their regular plan. You will never be able to get the government program coverage.

Lies... lies and more lies
November 20, 2021

If I can give boost no star. I would! I have been a loyal customer for 5 years with this suck bleep bleep company. In October, I had a plan with three lines before my bill renewed. I paid $107.00 for three lines before my bill restart. I drop the two lines and change my plan to $50.00 a month plus security website charge of $2.00 so a total of 52.00. This happened all before my bill renewal in which I had the 107.00 on my account for the next month for the three but unfortunately I had to drop the two lines and have one line which was changed to $50.00+2.00=$52.00. I was told three times that the month of November was going to have a credit for $52 so basically I had November paid for by boost Mobile in which I was told three times. I had a friend go pay $52 in store for the month of December so my bill could be paid up as a early birthday present so my bill for me to pay next was January or 2022. So I take it ignition and call the company and still inquire about the month of November in a credit they did give me a credit of $52 back that I paid in store for the month of December so tell me why November bill is not credit like I was promised I am so up the par with this no good lying company that have a database to tell their agent what the next agent have done they also have a recording stating what was said but I still have not had my November bill paid I am homeless I am sick I had a friend paid for my bill for December month for and early birthday present which November supposed to have been covered I did get a refunded back for December payment and still have not got coverage for the month November so today is my bill due date and my phone will be disconnected at 12:00tonight because I have no funds to keep the phone on, but I was promised a November pay in full because I over payed for the month of October when I drop the two that haven't been in use and I already had the $107.00 in my account for the next month which was November. Boost Mobile isn't fit to fool with pleas please stay away they lie to you all the time, they're useless, they phone aren't worth crap. They put bugs in your phone devices to keep you buying more phones, and they Internet is slow the day you make the monthly payment for your renewal I am so up the par I want a new phone company. But I am a person that don't like change, I don't like doing change, but now I'm going to change my phone company today. Customers constantly getting lied to. Customer service is whack, lf you had a 911 call with Boost Mobile phone. Your emergency want... let just face it YOUR DEAD! That's how whack they are don't waste your money don't waste your time because it's not worth it 5 years not worth it

RUN, RUN FAR AWAY
November 20, 2021

I bought an iphone SE on contract with boost and began a plan December 29,2020. Last month, Nov. 2021, I tried to switch to AT&T due to poor service. I called boost and they said they were unable to unlock my phone for 12 months. It has been 11. They also said since I began to switch to AT&T, my account had been canceled and in order for my phone to be unlock I would have to start a new plan with them and it would take another 12 months to unlock the phone, again. When I only should have had to wait another month. They canceled my plan MID-MONTH while I still have two weeks left, then told me my phones locked unless i start a new plan and it will take a year to unlock again. What in the actual f***? I paid for one month with them, until my AT&T iphone 13 comes in. They won't get another dollar from me...

Worst Service Ever
November 19, 2021

I have had the opportunity of utilizing Boost Mobile services for over five years or so, today was really the icing on the cake. I have no services, bill paid and was informed by David from customer services that there was some fraudulent done with my phone and my service has been discontinued. WHEN I TELL YOU, I'M CLUELESS THAT'S WHAT I MEAN. Then the customer services guy David, acting as though he's so apologetic an act. SAVE IT. BOOST MOBILE HAS ABSOLUTELY AWFUL SERVICES, REPS NEED TRAINING ON HOW TO PROVIDE CUSTOMERS ACCURATE INFORMATION.

Where do I start do I start?
November 17, 2021

1Problems started in October My older phone stopped working so I went to get a replacement From the store near me I had no problems with the people in the store in fact they were very helpful they did all they could to restore Service to my phone but could not so They helped me through the process of using the insurance I had On my phone They replace my phone with a stylo 6 Within 2 and a 1/2 weeks The phone stopped working They said the replacement was brand new? The SIM card Was replaced But the phone didn't work The people in the store did all they could But Eventually they told me that phone needed to be replaced so another Stylo 6 Was sent to me Which They said was brand new, Within 2 and a 1/2 weeks it stopped working, I couldn't receive calls Or text That stop working as well, So I tried to talk to the regional manager For (oxonhill MD)Which told me That He couldn't do anythig He also stated please tell me what I can do for you? But did nothing In the meantime I had purchased a screen protector and case for The 1st phone Then transferred it to the 2nd phone. A)I had Service for 4 phones I counseled 2 phones B)but was still being charged or should I say overcharged For 2 months They didn't change the plan but continued to overcharge me for 4 phones When I counsel 2 So I talked to the regional manager Again Which did nothing He told me that I could probably get things done faster than him I went in on a Tuesday He told me to call him back on Friday in the meantime I had no service I finally received my 3rd phone But the case Does not match the new phone nor the screen protector I asked the regional manager could he give me a case and a screen protector But of course he stuck to his word and again told me there was nothing he could do Today is November 16th I still don't have a screen protector Nor did I ever receive a case My experience with the regional manager was very disappointing He didn't care and I got it loud and clear! Is I'm a business owner and have been since 1991 so I do know something about customer service! I could go on with what I went through but I think this will help the next person!

BOOST MOBILE IS A JOKE!
November 16, 2021

First, my phone was SUSPENDED without reason. Then I pay to have it RESTORED. No service. Then I buy a new phone, cancelled the order and still got charged for the phone that I cant seem to cancel or that I've not gotten either. I've tried to cancel over the last 3 days to get my refund no luck. I cant seem to get a live person to cancel this phone order no matter how many times I've called. Ive called about 6 different numbers and it feels like calling in circles. All the numbers lead nowhere. I've called over and over no luck for the last 3 days. I DON'T RECOMMEND BOOST MOBILE TO ANYONE!

Monthly Plan Due Date Change
November 16, 2021

My plan monthly due date is the 18th of every month. Received a text today 11/16/21 that my monthly payment is due tomorrow 11/17/2021. Spoke with a manager@ Boost and his explanation was it's because October has 31 days and my plan is for 30 days of service. I've been with Boost for over 10 years and NEVER had this issue before. Lately with Boost it's always some $#*! WITH THEM &THEIR SERVICES. I've gone days without services due to technical issues on their end! Didn't even get a bill adjustment. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BOOST TO ANYONE! I'm looking for a NEW PHONE CARRIER!

I've been a boost customer for many years never had no problem went to go change my phone to 5G they said it wasn't take 5G so I had to buy a new phone what I paid for the phone there I could have got it somewhere else a lot cheaper but all my seventh day of having the phone that night my screen started being all lines and everything I go up the next morning to the boost Mobile spend the whole day start with I didn't want to help me I had to go to a different store which you know they are all franchise and they sent me back to that one don't know what's going on I had insurance on the phone for some reason the man redone the insurance for that day instead of on the 4th when I had originally got the phone some insurance don't want to pay for it the insurance for the maker of the phone the warranty people over the phone which is a celero five g they don't want to pay for the phone they all tell me is boost Mobile's fault that I need to go to boost Mobile and I've been going to boost Mobile for about 4 or 5 days now and I still have not gotten anything or any real satisfaction on my phone not even just a bunch of promises anyway the man's supposed to be here tomorrow which is Tuesday to bring a phone for a loaner and take mine and see if they can figure out what to do with it I guess but you know the funniest thing is he was supposed to be here today which is Monday is what he told me but he never called me or anything the store told me so over and I'll the lady that works there she really does try to help but they tie her hands where she can't do anything really and the owner and the manager they have not really done nothing to try to fix or satisfy my phone we'll see tomorrow which is Tuesday if he keeps his word or not if not I guess then I'm going to see a lawyer because this is not right so people be careful when you go to boost Mobile and don't let them take your number off before they put it on a different one hope this helps people

The first thing that is annoying about boost is that many of the stores are not open during the hours stated, you can't call them to check reliably, and the central customer service line doesn't know. So if you need to go into a store you have to drive around until you find one that is actually open when it says it is. This can take a couple hours.

I recently bought a new phone used, and, after getting the sim and activation realized it needed repair. To get a functional sim for my old phone and activate it would cost $55 total on top of the $55 I just spent for the sim and activation on my new phone. Then, when I get the repaired new phone back, another $55, for a total of $165.

For someone who just needed their phone repaired, and got a loaner phone like I did, you're in for an additional $110 on sims and activation just because your phone needed to be sent out for repair.

I know it's just the sprint network (which boost still uses) that makes people activate a new sim for every phone, but it's an expensive "feature" and the charges seem extremely excessive.

Make sure you know and write down your account number somewhere secure at the beginning of your relationship with Boost. If you don't have an active sim in your phone you can't get your account number (It's not on the website in your account portal ANYWHERE). Telephone support says to go to a store, store says to call telephone support, another store says you have to go to the original store you purchased service at (which is never open) you get stuck in a loop. No-one wants to give you your account number.

I will miss the inexpensive boost hotspot. I will not miss the poor voice quality and not getting my voicemail messages until 24-48 hours later. Fingers crossed they eventually port my phone number to my new service because it's been 36 hours and Boost seems to be dragging their heels on that, too.

Overall I would say it's worth paying an extra $10-$15 (or more) for another pre-paid plan with the hot spot added on in order to avoid the frustration of dealing with Boost, and, if you need to temporarily switch phones- boost is sure gonna sock it to you with the fees for sim cards and activations!

Had Virgin Mobile with all three of my phones. Loved it! Wonderful service, purchasing phones were a breeze and for $45.00 per month was great. I always purchased my phones outright. The minute the switch was made I began to have problems with Boost Mobile. From my Blackberry to my Samsung Galaxy's everything operated efficiently. Boost Mobile was a completely different experience. Could not send images to family and friends; 15 minutes each time waiting wondering why they were not being sent. Start getting MMS messages that I couldn't view. Wifi service... OMG! I never had issues before with Virgin and the number of dropped calls are too numerous to count. In the past 24 hours, I went to Best Buy to purchase a new phone with a completely different service. I was on the phone to simply get my account number from Boost. That conversation took 90 minutes! That does not include the seven dropped calls, by the way. Yes, I too had issues understanding the rep. Finally, I received my account number. But was like pulling teeth to get it. What even bothered me more were the other customers waiting to be serviced at Best Buy because they had the same problem as I.
