The book was lost in transit. Bookrun was very slow to respond and then wanted me to initiate a USPS search. They had the tracking number and required information. I feel it was their responsibility to track their shipment. The loss was never made right.

Hello, I sent in 6 books over the last 8 months and for every shipment I chose the Paypal payment preference (and got the insurance to cover for loss in the mail) and after shipment was confirmed, I received an email stating "your check is in the mail" congratulations. Then no payment on PP nor check was ever seen. I have been trying to contact customer support with no success. I expect this rating to fall in the abyss of the forgotten data on the internet, so good luck with you shipping your books and expecting any payment. Just warning if you are having high hopes from these transactions. They just "take" your books.

I'm ok with a worn book, and these pages are stuck together more than I expected, which is tearing at pictures, but that probably would have been ok. But the water damage in this book seemed to create mold throughout, which is not ok I'm going to have trash it

Both 'The Symbolism of Evil' (Boston: Beacon Press, 1967) and 'Hermeneutics and the Human Sciences' (New York: Cambridge Univ. Pr.; 1981) by Paul Ricoeur arrived in fairly good condition. I ordered these two titles to align with my copy of Ricoeur's 'Fallible Man' (Chicago: Gateway Editions, 1965). All of these paperback books are 'perfect' bound, but the Cambridge, 1981 'Hermeneutics' broke into two sections when opened. I've glued it back together but it must be handled carefully. This is not the bookseller's problem, but I mention it because so many publishers since the 1960s, it seems to me, shifted from 'signatures' to 'perfect' glued bindings of their 'mass market' products. Just one more issue to consider when purchasing a paperback.

Very simply, the book was doused in some kind of perfumed scent. I opened the book and started sneezing. I took the book to the GoodWill the next day. I will not be using this seller again.
