The overall reputation of the company reflects significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to inadequate customer service and a lack of accountability. Many reviews highlight issues such as harsh refund policies, unresponsive support, and problems with fraudulent listings, leading to frustrations over lost funds and unresolved complaints. While some customers appreciate the variety of accommodations offered, the overwhelming sentiment indicates a lack of trust in the company's commitment to customer satisfaction. To improve its reputation, the company must enhance its customer service responsiveness and take greater responsibility for the listings it promotes.

Scam Scam Scam
Used my flexible ticket to rebook a new flight. Virtually impossible. Had to move it 3 months later. Still paid for the difference in price but now the luggage price is not included and flexibility is waved. CS- they NEVER follow up, can't be trusted, they work from India- different culture and expectations, half the time they don't understand the issue. Frustrating.
I booked a room through this site and had to cancel less than 48 hours later (and still well over two weeks before my planned check-in date). They then informed me that the reservation was non-refundable. They gave me a form response that they would "reach out" to the property. I don't believe they ever did. When I called the number for the property (which is a HIlton property) I just got their central reservations desk which claimed to have no record of the confirmation number provided by Booking.com. I spent about and hour on the phone with them but could get nowhere. Booking.com says the resolution decision is up to the hotel; Hilton says it's up to Booking.com. So it's a total runaround. As I write this it's now two weeks after my attempted cancellation and the site is still behaving as if I never cancelled, including spamming me with "offers" for activities in the Bay Area. Bottom line: use this site to locate a property if you think it will help but do NOT book with them. I recommend you book directly with the property instead.
The last three times we used them, there has been an issue. Either with the accommodations or with mis-information that has resulted in EXTREME hardship during my stay. They did nothing to resolve either time. Will never use again.
Bookingl.com refused to honor my purchase and did not provide the car I paid for and rented and they refused to refund the money I paid for.
Useless, no customer care. We will find whats better with time u will be no more.
I think you as a team is too arrogant.
Biggest sham of all…. Book a room at the radison In Milwaukee for a concert we showed up to check in and we were informed there was no booking. They are less then helpful speaking to them. Save yourself the grief and avoid this SCAM!
We have used booking.com for several years, but I can no longer recommend them. We were quoted a room with a genius discount. The web site gave us the full price for the room and we accepted it. The price we were billed, however, did not include the discount. We contacted customer service - and after being transferred to 3 or 4 representatives - over the course of several hours - we were told that they were under no obligation to honor the quoted price. They also refused to give us an email to contact any company official. It feels like a bait and switch.
I spoke with 2 different men that was not from the United States and they was very rude. I wasnt able to get my money back because I was not able to leave work to get a pre paid card. It was almost like they threatened me if I don't leave work I cant get the refund. They talked to me like the scam people from overseas talk to you I will never use them again.
Very poor outcome and service. Have used booking.com for many years. Left me unable to get into my room and wasted over a hour on the phone to a very unhelpful booking.com advisor. Wasted over a hour on the phone to them and in the end the hotel offered to ensure they would cancel the booking.com reservation and get us in the hotel at a discount. All booking.com did was keep blaming the property but they were able to book it all straight away and get us in a room. What's the point in your service. Didn't offer any kind of resolution or any sympthany in the time wasted on the phone to your advisor which made me late for a wedding. Next time I will just use your website to find a hotel and then book directly with that hotel, that way I won't have to waste my time speaking to none helpful advisor at booking.com.
I recently booked a room with booking.com for Alabama. I got confirmation and they collected payment. I drove 5 1/2 hours and got there after midnight. Booking.com said the lobby stayed open 24 hours. They were closed, when I called Booking.com said they were not responsible for not having anywhere to stay. The motel said they weren't responsible for booking.com. I got the bad end and no one was held responsible.
I had used booking.com a few times in the past for hotels and even needed to cancel or change reservations and had no problems. But I booked a flight the other day, then realized it was not going to work, so took advantage of the very clear promise that I could cancel in 24 hours. I called, was transferred, was put on hold--forever until phone battery died. Tried again today. Was told a whole lot of gibberish (BS) and then that my request would be sent to the "Support Team." That's all. I was promised a call back or response. Nothing at all. If I have to, I will take this to small claims court and I won't let up. Advertising 24 cancellation is fraudulent, if they don't honor it. But then when I see today that the company doing the booking is in Miami, of course. Florida is filled with cheats. I would never, every under any circumstances book with them again. Go straight to the airline or hotel or forget it. I will be cancelling a hotel I booked.
I work as basically a travel agent for my organisation. Booking.com is the worst service. If anything goes wrong with the reservation or if you just need a receipt at the time your card is charged (like for an accounts team) well that's just tough luck for you. You will never get a real person on the phone, I'm pretty sure the whole site is run by an evil computer. Also, they take a ridiculous percentage for their crap service and treat the hotels just as poorly as they treat the clients (I know this from working/managing at a hotel). All this would be fine if you could 100% avoid this monstrosity of a automated middle-man but they are also a catfish! Some sites have no blatant indication that you are actually booking through booking.com, its only until the confirmation page do you realise you've been duped. More like BOOing.com. Boooooo! Thumbs down. I hope this site dies.
I bought for the first time airline tickets from booking.com web site. What a mistake. Since then, the airline company cancel one of my flight. I have tried several times to speak to someone of booking.com in my own language; impossible. I asked to be rebook on another flight 5 days ago; since then no answer from booking.com and very difficult to speak to someone very efficient In that company. This company is on my blacklist for lifetime + 25 years.
I booked accommodation (Apartamento Las Palmeras Front sea View) with booking.com, however when I arrived there, the accommodation did not exist, the property owner was not picking up the phone nor replying to my emails from. Apartamento Las Palmeras Front sea View is a scam, do not book with them! Booking.com did not make any refunds or make any effort to help. They just keep them robbing people. This was a very stressful experience. The customer service is super poor. Would never use again.
Firstly, I would love to leave a review on Google, apparently that is not an option for these roaches. To cut a long story short, I am due a refund. I spoke to two agents. I followed the first one's instructions to a tee. He even had the audacity to tell me to "hurry up" as I was pulling up my confirmation number for him. I got my ticket statuses changed appropriately to canceled and sorted out my flight for the next day directly at the airport. I then called back once at my Motel for the evening, the second agent I spoke with stated my tickets needed to be in an "open" status to work on a refund. He said to call the airline "Icelandair" to have this done and then to call back. Needless to say, when I called Icelandair, the representative informed that is not how refunds work from booking agencies and that Booking.com should be reaching out to Icelandair to get the process going. I have seen this "run around" before from other companies. I cut the middleman out and called my credit card company to open a dispute.
TL; DR - Go to your banking institution to get your money back. Don't use Booking.com. Record your calls with them. They are crooks.
I needed to go outta town for a Dr apt. I searched the city I needed to go. I've stayed many times at this particular hotel so I wanted to book there again. I searched Marysville, Wa my husband and I arrived at about 10:30 pm to find out we did not have a reservation. I looked at my reservation receipt and it said Marysville, Ohio. What the hell? I didn't even know there was a Marysville, Ohio! So it's 10:30 at night. 5 hours from home
No more money for a hotel and my reservation that we had all ready paid for was in Marysville, Ohio.
I immediately called booking.com
But they ask for the confirmation number which I have and a 4 digit pin. I looked and looked I never got a pin. So days pass I'm trying to contact booking.com no luck. They are very difficult to get through. Long story short. They refuse to give me my refund. They hung up on me when I asked to speak to a manager. I will NEVER USE BOOKING. COM AGAIN. Take some advice. Don't use booking. Com unless you have money to burn on vacations you don't even go to..
Do not use booking. Com taxi service it is a scam they don't turn up they don't refund your money the did not check our flight details etc but said he did his only evidence was off his laptop
This site (Booking.com) is a legal and official web scammers. They overrate their partners (hotels and car rental companies) to catch customers with high rated services at low cost compared to other honest webservice provider. I booked a hotel and a car for my trip through Booking.com. First, they withdraw more than what was agreed on from my bank account. When I got to destination, the rental company refused to honor the car rental, and Booking.com withheld the total amount of my rental even though it was their partner who refused to complete the rental. There is no customer service to help you when you end up in such situation, and you keep sending them email, to which they keep replying with the same message under different customer service agent name. The hotel was a mess, yet it was high rated. You do not realize the scam until you reach your destination, and the money has been deducted out of you account, for which you can do nothing.
Answer: In my case they took my payment information and paid the hotel where I was going to be staying. Only to find out that the hotel was out of business and I had to prove that it was charged to my account. They did not find me a replacement hotel to stay in for the same price. Nor did they care that I was left without a place to stay. So beware before you purchase.
Answer: Don't waste time with booking.com. They have horrible customer service and will make every attempt to cheat you. Simply report the problem to your credit card company to get your refund.
Answer: Run. Run away. This company and the company used to insure their bookings are scams.
Answer: booking.com has horrible customer service. Don't use them.
Answer: You pay a non refundable price on line. When you check into your hotel, it's billed to your Bookings.com reservation plus incidentals (local calls, parking fees, resort fees, dining, bar fees, Europe charges local or city tax, spa fees...) the hotel will ask for a card as a hold for these fees. Use bookings.com, find the hotel you wish to stay in (get all info and contact them directly via website and price match) the Marriott in Rome had a room for $80.00 less on the Marriott website than these, so called MONEY SAVING SITES.
Answer: Can you please explain why you think Booking.com is not trustworthy please?
Answer: It depends on the hotel some don't charge until you arrive at hotel more will charge your card straight away check your booking it should tell you there
Answer: Trevago is hooked into Booking.com don't make a mistake and let trevago send you to booking.com go to Hotel.com which is more professional. I had to go to American Express customer serviced to complain and they gave a dead line for explanation. They had no explanation for crappy service and had to repay me.
Answer: You will need to pay taxes in addition to the quoted price. Call the motel and they will tell you about the taxes. A few places still don't charge exttra taxes e.g. Harris Ranch in California.
Answer: You can't. That's the whole idea. You provide a service, and your customers get to give their review of your place and your services.
