Klachten wordt niet op gereageerd. En als je mensen door booking wil laten waarschuwen voor oplichting, doen ze dit gewoon niet. Willens en wetens ( aangetoond met fotos) vertikken ze het om dat hotel aan te spreken op onzorgvuldigheid. Vervolgens betaal je de hoofdprijs voor iets wat je niet gekregen hebt, en het is een grote bouwput. Nee zet je klachten maar online, interesseert ons niet aldus booking op facebook messenger! Dus mensen wees gewaarschuwd, booking houdt informatie achter.

Confirmation number 2903. 055. 552 - had to leave my POOR accommodation at Earls Court London on 01/08. Put in an immediate cancellation request and to waiver the fee- the property was filthy, window didn't open (it was 28 degrees with no other source of air), sticky substances on the walls, excrement in the bottom of the toilet, the shower broke off in my hand - all of which with my 9 YO son. I spoke to reception; she offered zero reconciliation and she told me to speak to Booking.com as they regulate the payment--- so I did. I've had to chase them today for the operative state that I have a 20% good will refund - 20% of the total booking which the hotel has been paid! Absolutely disgraceful and I'll never ever again use this platform! The worst!
We booked a stay at a hotel the eve before our departure from Anchorage, Alaska. When we presented to check in, with our confirmation number, they had NO SUCH RESERVATION! It cost us over$ 100 more to secure another hotel elsewhere. After several comments made to them, I have yet to hear from them regarding a refund. Yes they charged me for what they called a " no show" stay! The nerve!

Pretty much scam artists at this point. Have tried many times to get in touch and am forwarded to a third party partner which is also horrible. Booked a flight, tried to reschedule and got 0 response from booking.com and have now filed a complaint with BBB and will be taking this further. Do not purchase your ticket or anything from this website. Lesson has been learned.

They are now handling reservations for Priceline and you should avoid using either platform if you're in Canada. The prices shown for Canadian hotels WILL CHANGE after you've agreed to them and confirmed the reservation, which seems silly in 2022 when you're using a Canadian IP address, a Canadian credit card, a Canadian phone number and a Canadian mailing address to book a Canadian hotel. Getting anyone who can help or even understand the issue via phone or chat service is impossible and you'll be stuck paying far more than agreed as they'll change the currency on you even though the confirmation email (from Priceline in my case) doesn't indicate a different currency. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID and book directly with the hotel or a reputable Canadian service.
Don't spend any time, money or energy with this sham of a company. The have interest in your experience or satiisfaction.
I recently booked and apartment through Booking.com in Porto, Portugal. Our criteria, among others, were to have AC, Elevator, washing machine as we had elderly and children in the group. These facilities were mentioned on the Booking.com web site. After arriving there we found that there was no washing machine. It caused a lot of inconveniences and we had to spend time finding a laundry place. The hotel told us that it was the fault of Booking.com for not providing the right information about facilities when they invited me for buying an ungraded apartment by paying extra bucks. I tried to contact customer service with my messaging app which is hopeless and they are not capable of resolving issues.
I booked a rental car through booking.com but came to find out that the car rental place was nowhere near the airport that I put in to pick up the vehicle. I called several times to cancel my booking and could never get a live person, and most times, my call was just disconnected. I tried the online route, and you keep getting directed to another page. I sent an email to cancel and got no response.
My company credit card statement came in this week, and they sure did collect their money even though I canceled and never got a car. I started the claim for a refund, and they sent an email asking for information that was already lined out in the first correspondence. Did they read it? Who knows?
I booked a flight. Flight thank goodness went fine except I paid $55 to pick a seat and $50 in insurance for protection. So my seat got changed by the airlines. I calledBooking 5 times. Each time a rep said a supervisor would call back. They did on an international number. When I picked up and this happened twice the person on the phone ignored my hello's. Horrible customer service and to think if my flight had got cancelled they never would have fixed my situation or given a refund! Impossible to call or text the numbers supervisor back. No wonder this 3rd party boul$#*! company has a 1.7 rating! They suck. And my advice never go thru a 3rd party to save a few dollars cause in the end its not worth it! Booking.com uses GOTOGATE as the affiliate. They are horrible customer service.
I booked a 2 night break and unfortunately had to cancel as I just couldn't afford to go.
23 days later I still have not received my refund from Booking.com.
This is despite me raising this with them 7 days ago, utter joke and I will never pre pay and book with them ever again!
I book accommodation on July 2nd 2022 for my family for a weekend in September. On August 1st I receive a request from the property to cancel as they only take bookings for 3 nights, they blame booking.com and apparently I cannot do anything about this. Trying to book alternative accommodation will cost at least twice as much and not be as good (It's an airshow weekend). Booking.com offer nothing but sympathy and property simply refuse to accept booking.

My flight was canceled by the airline, Booking refuses to reimburse me and it even claims it was not cancelled. I have emails and texts from the airline, I had to claim it to my credit card.
My 18 yo son went to Myrtle Beach around the 1st of July. He needed to book a room for one night and we went thru Booking.com much to our disadvantage. Once he got to the hotel they had no reservation from Booking.com. Per booking.com we paid cash there for a room(luckily one was available)& they would refund us the money back on our card. That never happened. Needless to say, we have dealt with this issue since the first of July. Have made at least 15 calls, spent hours on hold over various calls, been hung up on(accidentally of course) 8 times, been promised a call back numerous times with never a call returned. They asked for information emailed to them and after that was done we would have our refund taken care of within 5 days. No refund yet. It's been "escalated". (lol) so many times on so many calls to make it sound like something will get done. We have asked for a supervisor the last 5 calls and due to multiple excuses they cannot put us through to one. It's so tiring going over what happened with each person they put us through to only to be hung up on, forced to start the whole asinine process again. Only reason they can be doing this is the hope we will just forget about it. Maybe they receive part of a kickback on the amount of money they avoid/fail to refund. We can't afford to forget about $495.00. We needed that money weeks ago and it's so frustrating to try and keep your cool. My husband is on the phone right now and has been hung up on twice. Waited 27 minutes on the first call before the hang up. Asked for the name of the person we previously had talked to and they could not transfer us to that person. (She was supposed to call us right back if we got disconnected.)
We would not have given them one star but that's not an option. We will NEVER use booking.com again! Use at your own risk!
If you have trouble when you get to your destination and you call him they will tell you they will cancel when you can find a new place. One reality the motel your ad is still going to charge you full price and I do nothing to help you get that money back!
I made a reservation via booking.Com as a surprise for my wife, I used my personal email account, not our joint account, and after I had completed the reservation I was told it would be better to download the app, and as soon as I did, they somehow linked it to my wife, and completely ruined the surprise! Needless to say I have removed the app and will not be using booking.com again!
No chance of a spontaneous surprise!

I NEVER STAYED HERE AND BOOKING.COM STOLE MY MONEY! I SHOWED UP AT THE HOTEL TO FIND OUT THAT BOOKING.COM SYSTEM WAS DOWN AND HOTEL REFUSED TO PROVIDE ME THE ROOM. I CANCELLED THE RESERVATION AND WENT TO ANOTHER HOTEL BUT THEY STILL CHARGED ME. BOOKING.COM IS BLAMING THE HOTEL SAYING THEY ARE NOT REPLYING TO THEIR EMAILS OR CALLS, HOTEL IS SAYING THAT THEY DIDNT CHARGE MY CARD. BUT CARD WAS CHARGED AND BOTH COMPANIES EMBARASSED THEMELVES FOR $160. SHAME AND THIEVERY.
The worst experience renting a car in Europe! I followed voucher instructions, went to pick-up location and called the agency number. After almost an hour of waiting and calling with no answer, I contacted the US Booking.com Customer Service which was helpless. I had no choice, rented the car through another agency and requested the refund.
After two months and several emails and calls, Booking come refunded only 25% of my payment!
For a service that was NEVER provided! Well, never again Booking.com!
Every time I put in my credit card information to buy a flight it says reservation failed. And then the customer service tells me to buy again. I tried 6 times with different devIces and different listings but failed.
Answer: In my case they took my payment information and paid the hotel where I was going to be staying. Only to find out that the hotel was out of business and I had to prove that it was charged to my account. They did not find me a replacement hotel to stay in for the same price. Nor did they care that I was left without a place to stay. So beware before you purchase.

When you check into your hotel, it's billed to your Bookings.com reservation plus incidentals (local calls, parking fees, resort fees, dining, bar fees, Europe charges local or city tax, spa fees...) the hotel will ask for a card as a hold for these fees. Use bookings.com, find the hotel you wish to stay in (get all info and contact them directly via website and price match) the Marriott in Rome had a room for $80.00 less on the Marriott website than these, so called MONEY SAVING SITES.

I had to go to American Express customer serviced to complain and they gave a dead line for explanation. They had no explanation for crappy service and had to repay me.
