Never again

I made a reservation through Booking.com and then realized it was not going to meet my needs, so I cancelled. Later I went through the hotel membership and made a reservation with the correct number of people, price, and check-in, check-out times. The day before leaving on the trip, I got two different emails from Booking.com, telling me about my reservations. I called the hotel directly and was told that I have three reservations--the one that I made and two that Booking.com made. Luckily the person at the hotel was able to straighten it all out. I will never use Booking.com again.

Do never rent a car

I booked a car through booking via booking.com. When I went there the lady at the front desk told me that I had to pay 800€ for the insurance. I was happy with that but when I gave her my credit card she said that they don't accept it. I had 3 credit cards with me and she didn't accept any of them. She then asked me to pay with my debit card or with cash. After a quick research that I did online the car rental had 2/5 star reviews with people claiming that they lost their money. I told her that I can't afford to pay all that money with my debit card and I would like to cancel the booking. She said that she will cancel the booking the same night on her end and I will get my refund. In my surprise the booking is completed and I haven't got my money back. I opened a claim with booking and just had a phone call with one of their agents. Although I never rented the car he told me that they will split my money between booking and the rental company and can only give me a refund for the insurance. Well played by a multibillion company to keep my money even though I didn't use the car

Poor customer service at bookings.com

I I wanted to rent a car in Fort Lauderdale California bookings.com assured me that clubs in Fort Lauderdale was credible. It ended up being a lot more than was advertised. Do not use clubs car rental agency or bookings.com both of them are not credible.

We booked Bhavya Hotel Residency at Airport. One Room 4 bed@ 1176 and Second 2 *******@1006 and also confirm over telephone with Hotel Owner but upon going they alot us 2 room of 2 bed and ask rent 2997 which was cheats. We told him about to act as original booking but not cooperation and told do complaint to police and booking agency.

We have compulsory to stay for onwards programme and pay 2997 for 2 bed room.

Anticipate do needful else we have to go consumer court

Don't return cancellation money. Unprofessionalism

I have 3 times experience of non payment of my cancelled tickets. No one response and their customer care is in a different country. They have auto replays and real cheaters. Please do not book tickets here and invite troubles.

If they screw up and dont send you a confirmation number (which they do purposefully) it is IMPOSSIBLE to cancel a reservation. 57 emails...nothing. Cant call. Nothing. Never EVER use these people. The properties hate them as well...RUN!

Scumbags, use a different site

I stayed at a scam air b&b due to the 9.2 rating by booking.com and it was horrible. Upon contacting Booking.com with my complaint. I was told that buyer beware was applicable. Crap site with fake reviews.

Had to fligh to Greece for emergency, my father was dying so we booked a ticket with booking.com that was saying was edihad but only the plane was edihad and airline was Oman.air.
When I was trying to return home to Sydney from Greece I was told at airport my ticket was cancelled and nothing, my family from Australia and me we made so many phone calls to booking.com and Oman air to put on a flight with no luck, so had to purchase another Ticket with emirates for $5300 to return home, been back home for 6 months and trying to get refund for the ticket that was cancelled, Oman air blames booking.com, and of course booking.com blames Oman air
But I did purchase the ticket from booking.com and they are very good to take your money but no refunds
I will never use them again to me is like they took money out of my pocket and they never helped me

They take the money, cancelled and stay one week with it without returning it immediately.
They know you would take the same time to recover it from the bank, but I recommend you to report it to your bank so they won't keep doing it.

What a waste of money! I could have gotten that jail cell off a room for $100 less/ night. The pictures were misleading. The description was misleading. We would have had a better time if we had stayed home. Booking.com robbed us!

We were given a tiny cell with no view, just a walk way of random people looking into our window.
I'm not sure why this always happens to us. I imagine having a fancy drink on a roof top and I get a glass of sink water and a jail cell.

Booked and stayed in hotels with booking.com for 9 nights in January. Never gave me the credit and there's no way to talk to anybody. I just got back from a trip that I booked with Airbnb. I would have booked with booking.com, but I wouldn't have gotten the discounts I earned. The Airbnb experience was good, and I will use Airbnb in the future.

Unbelievable

I cannot believe that I have not referred to the reviews before using booking.com. They have epically failed to accommodate me as a customer. The third-party failed to deliver the product guaranteed and booking.com is extremely difficult to get a hold of, extremely difficult to get a response from, long delays, and complete failure in customer service. I highly suggest to never ever even consider using booking.com

They are scammers!

Our host cancelled our booking after arriving to the booked apartment because they wanted more money than agreed on booking confirmation. Booking.com apologized and offered more expensive place to stay which was too high for our budget. Booking.com promised to pay back the difference once we had paid the full price first. We paid the full price but then booking.com refused to pay back as agreed because the new host gave us "wrong invoice". We spent months to get right invoices but booking.com was never satisfied with them. We asked them to get the right one from the host and they promised to get back to us once they have contacted the host. But then they deleted our conversations from their app and they ghosted us. We have all the screenshots (we took them because the conversation started to sound fishy) and now they keep promising how they will get back to us in 24hours but it's been months now. I will never trust booking.com again.

I recently traveled for work to Anniston.com and booked a hotel thru Bookings.com. I did NOT get the service because when I arrived at the hotel, i was not allowed to stay even though the booking was paid in full. My credit card gave me 432 refund and now they are telling me due to Bookings.com no refund policy I can't get a return on money for services I did not receive. I'm taking this up with the Attorney Generals office in our state to see if I can get a refund. I arrived there and was refused service because I had a registered service dog (weighing 5 pounds) with me and this hotel was listed as "pet friendly." Then the folks there were rude. Don't go to McCellan Inn and sure as hell don't book thru Bookings.com! You may quote me - Jean M. Sanderson

The property listed on the site looked pleasant, clean, and with a nice balcony. However, upon checking in to Toronto Furnished Living the horrors never stopped. The window looked directly to a brick wall in a dirty and dark alley way, the mattresses was soiled with a horrid mix of human juices and the smell in the room was unbearable from it. Over half the lights in the property were broken or burnt out, bugs and bug traps littered the property, mould was all over the dirty bathroom. Upon reaching out to booking.com, they offered a partial refund for the terrible experience as the property provided nothing. It took over 2 months, and call upon call to actually receive the refund itself. Every call was from some outsourced call centre that was terrible to deal with- just mindless people repeating your complaints and saying you are valuable, but then doing nothing.

I realized many of the reviews are not truthful. Many of us were confused as to what we experienced vs what we had read. I was offered free stays at new properties of I gave a 10* review. Also when I did try to write a review it was censored. Use Google and tripadvisor. Don't trust booking. I stayed at konut.I was made to feel very unwelcome as a solo female traveller. Booking would not let me post my experiences

The Worst service I have ever seen
The Worst service I have ever seen. Careless and heartless service which is completely unprofessional.
They don't care for their customers.
I Had booked ALH Vacay Peaceful apartments in Oct for dubai and now 1 week before my travel I have just received a mail saying sorry we refunding you the money.

Now when I ask them give me some other place because of the exhibition, rates are high they reply ever 48 hours with a mail
And they offer me some bad property far away
It's better to book direct with hotels rather than booking.com

No protection for the renter

I recently had a situation in which I booked an apartment through Booking.com. The apartment advertised a TV as an amenity. When we arrived, the TV was broken and the property manager took over 24 hours to replace the TV. When the property owner did replace the TV, they had the TV in the unopened box delivered and did not offer to set it up. My husband had to set up the new TV, discard the broken TV, and we had to store the trash for the remainder of our stay.

The property owner refused to provide any compensation for the inconvenience. I reached out to Booking.com who stated because the property owner refused to provide compensation, the case was resolved. On the phone with Booking.com customer service, they stated that owners can falsely advertise accommodations on their website. When a renter complains of amenities missing as advertised or having a poor rental experience, Booking.com will reach out to the accommodation for a resolution. If the accommodation declines to provide any compensation for any inconveniences, then Booking.com considers the case closed and resolved.

Therefore, there is no penalty for accommodations for falsely advertising or providing a poor experience through Booking.com and the renter is the one who is penalized by having a poor experience with no compensation.

Book any apartment rentals through Airbnb (great customer service) or any hotels through another third party.
