The overall reputation of the company reflects significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to inadequate customer service and a lack of accountability. Many reviews highlight issues such as harsh refund policies, unresponsive support, and problems with fraudulent listings, leading to frustrations over lost funds and unresolved complaints. While some customers appreciate the variety of accommodations offered, the overwhelming sentiment indicates a lack of trust in the company's commitment to customer satisfaction. To improve its reputation, the company must enhance its customer service responsiveness and take greater responsibility for the listings it promotes.

I booked a hotel through these people and then cancelled it the following day when i realized what a $#*!ty place it was.
I should have been given a refund right then and there, but i have been waiting over 75 days now and all i get is the same song and dance about how they are working on it.
This is a complete scam company who will do nothing to help you should your booking not turn out as they promised.
Do not use them...use someone more credible

NEVER AGAIN
This is the worst form of travel you can find. Cancelations that are inevitable, like flight cancelations, are IMPOSSIBLE to pull through. You will be charged nevertheless. Always book from the hotel directly. I just did that and they told me they would help me out if a flight is canceled. I will never use Booking.com again. Shame on you all.
SHOULD BE ZERO.ZERO! An absolute nightmare to deal with! I booked through Booking.com in March 2023 for a property in Cable Beach, Nassau Bahamas. After months of back n forth with payments, booking additional services, etc., I was informed on July 5th that the home reserved for my trip on July 15th was not available. They seemed to have overbooked was the response. How could this happen after dealing with Jason in their office? I even received the Check-In documents for access to the property and then this? I immediately contacted Booking.com who quite frankly was useless in resolving this issue. I will have a separate negative review later. Thank God, I went to AirBnB and found an even lovelier place on the beach. The people at Bahamas Vacation Club are a bunch of clowns and belong in a circus. Not in this service industry! STAY AWAY, FAR AWAY!
This is the absolute worst experience with flying that I have ever had. You book and PAY for a 2 bedroom just to receive a 1 bedroom, how the actual f does that work? Changing your conformation on the website so that it seems as if it is what you booked. My plane tickets THAT I BOOKED AND PAYED was also changed when the conformation letter came. I mean why the hell do you pre book and pay tickets, or even rooms, just for it to change again last minute. It is 4 and a half hour before my flight and now me and my husband aren't even sitting in the same row. NEVER EVER AGAIN! I will do anything but use booking.com. This is the biggest $#*! show of a circus that you would EVER experience. If you want to pay full price and receive a bunch of crap in return and you want the unpredictability, go ahead, if you actually give a crap about service and quality STAY CLEAR!
My family and I had a great stay, the staffs we amazing always smiling n greeting us and the room was very spacious and nice with a full kitchen…will be staying again
If I could give zero starts I would. Horrible customer service. I ended up cancelling my stay and going somewhere else due to water damage in the room however booking.com would not process my refund even thought the hotel guaranteed a full refund. When I booking.com them they said I would have to contact the hotel, which I did again, and again they confirmed the cancellation on their end. Booking.com still would not issue the refund. I had to dispute the charges on my credit card.
I booked a hotel thru Booking.Com and in my confirmation email it says that a third party partner was involved. My hotel identified the partner as Expedia because I tried to cancel the booking. Booking.com would not mention Expedia in their emails to me. Booking.com and the hotel sent me emails confirming my cancellation free of charge even though the deadline for the cancellation has passed. Armed with the cancellation email from both Booking.com and the hotel free of charge, I booked another hotel. But since I was still charged with the first booking I sent an email to Booking.com, and Booking.com replied that since 3rd party partner is involved, there will be no refund. In the mind of an average person, the booking has been cancelled free of charge, and now this? What free of charges are they talking about if they will not do a refund? Had I was informed in the 'cancellation' email that 3rd party partner Expedia is not willing to refund my money, do you think I would make a new booking? Too many questions here.
Long time booking user. I checked 2 days early from the hotel agreed to refund just waiting for booking to call them. I went through calls. Text. Email. I can't help you with that and most emails just a copies: sorry we apologize just sweet words. Even i have another booking coming up on august ( this one no refundable. Its ok with me) its had to get answers. Emails already prepared the first 2 lines. I lost money for 2 nights
I rented a car with insurance for my husband on Booking.com and when he got to his destination there was no record of his rental. My husband had to rent a car again so we paid for the car twice, and now our credit card is fighting with them to have the original Booking.com charge taken off (because there was no car resulting from that charge). I had printed out the section on what he'd need and he had all his documents in order to rent the car when he got to his destination. This is the first time we used Booking.com and it will be the last. BUYER BEWARE. There are plenty of other sites to purchase trips on. STAY AWAY from Booking.com.
Title: Extremely Disappointing Experience at North Shore Resort, Myrtle Beach
I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at North Shore Resort in Myrtle Beach, and I must say it was incredibly disappointing. First and foremost, the AC machine in the rooms was outrageously loud, making it nearly impossible to get any sleep or relaxation. The noise was incessant and highly disruptive throughout my entire stay.
Adding to the frustration, there was absolutely no housekeeping available during my time at the resort. The lack of cleanliness and fresh linens made the stay even more uncomfortable and inconvenient. It was incredibly disheartening to find such a disregard for basic hygiene and guest comfort.
Furthermore, the pictures displayed on the website were incredibly deceiving. The reality did not match the expectations set by the promotional images. The overall condition of the rooms and facilities fell far short of what was depicted, leaving me feeling misled and cheated.
To make matters worse, I was horrified to discover that the pool had feces in it. This complete lack of maintenance and cleanliness is not only appalling but also poses a serious health risk. It is unfathomable that such a hazardous and unsanitary situation would be allowed to persist.
Overall, my experience at North Shore Resort was a nightmare. The noisy AC, lack of housekeeping, deceptive pictures, and unsanitary pool made my stay unbearable. I couldn't sleep for two days, and the overall condition of the resort was far below acceptable standards. I strongly advise against anyone considering this resort for their stay in Myrtle Beach.
I've booked stays in the past trough booking and it was ok so I received a message from them to list my property. I've started to list my condo on my booking.com account, it was complicated and time consuming so I didn't finish. I received an email saying that I will receive a letter from them to accept and activate my listing. No letter, I'm busy with my job and few days later I get an email that 2 people booked my beautiful condo for the weekend. I asked trough email to get help finishing my listing because I'm confused and I can't log in. No help, no phone number to call. The lady payed only 280$ for 2, no tax or cleaning fees and I called her to say that I didn't finish setting fees and she tells me she'll bring 2 more adults and she doesn't want to pay because wasn't listed. I call a number I found on google for booking, and they told me that I have to talk to their partner, transfer me to Malaysia, couldn't understand much. They let me wait and never help me and I get an email that I owe then 480$. Total scam, never received a penny and didn't have a back connected to listing. I'm going to report them. I've been traumatized by this experience and emails from them that I can't even respond to.
We reserved a condo on Marco Island for a week from Red Awning via booking.com. We paid the full price non-refundable. Nine days later Red Awning cancelled the reservation without reason. We were told it would take 7-12 days to get our money back. We are still waiting...
They literally DONT care about any property owners who are trying to make an honest buck.
There is 0 care nor respect from their side towards us in general.
When you have an issue ( which is everyday) they can take up to 10 days before they an get back to you and literally ring not even once and hung-up then send you the copy paste message saying we did call but you didn't answer! $#*!ing jokesters LoL
You can be a massmurderer and still be able to book anything you want, they refuse to cancel any reservations even tho some people are known criminals! This has happened to me directly few times and because of this our business was down for few days.
I hope all the people work there especially the eco etc owners share holders burns in hell and along with their website.
Someone should put an end to this $#*! website and they should be locked up.
I made a reservation through booking.com and when we arrived at hotel it was a filthy dump. We checked out after one night and the hotel refunded booking.com. However, booking.com refuses to refund me the money. Stay away from booking.com unless you want to be conned into a dump that they say is great and then have them steal your money.
Booking.com cancelation policy states within 7 days of check in free refund. Nope! I canceled 8 days in advance and didn't get my money back! I'll never book anything through them again.
Double booked due to their website crashing and was told I can't get a refund for the 2nd booking. Better of booking with other sites.
I have had 2 separate negative experiences with Booking.com and will never use this service again. No matter how good of a deal you might think you get stay far away. Customer service is condescending and will not work on your behalf at all. Promises for price matching are made and not upheld. They make it so difficult that you have no chance even though you provide them with the requested documentation. In today's world there are so many choices to book your vacation or business trip don't choose booking.com. I will never again make this mistake.
I cancelled my flight and was promised a certain amount--a partial refund that was the full price of the ticket minus the cost of an extra checked bag. The website was specific about the amount. When I called, the customer service associate insisted I was not entitled to any refund. When I read him the cancellation policy he then agreed--after a long wait on hold--to refund me the money. However, I did not receive the amount promised. When I called again, I got an agent who basically said a lot of words with no relevance to the issue at hand and no explanation as to why I did not receive the full amount. To make matters worse, both times, I immediately received an email asking for feedback--a survey--and both times, I could not complete it because it said it had expired. I literally clicked on it the moment I received the email. Boooking.com is a scam. Do not use them!
Answer: In my case they took my payment information and paid the hotel where I was going to be staying. Only to find out that the hotel was out of business and I had to prove that it was charged to my account. They did not find me a replacement hotel to stay in for the same price. Nor did they care that I was left without a place to stay. So beware before you purchase.
Answer: Don't waste time with booking.com. They have horrible customer service and will make every attempt to cheat you. Simply report the problem to your credit card company to get your refund.
Answer: Run. Run away. This company and the company used to insure their bookings are scams.
Answer: booking.com has horrible customer service. Don't use them.
Answer: You pay a non refundable price on line. When you check into your hotel, it's billed to your Bookings.com reservation plus incidentals (local calls, parking fees, resort fees, dining, bar fees, Europe charges local or city tax, spa fees...) the hotel will ask for a card as a hold for these fees. Use bookings.com, find the hotel you wish to stay in (get all info and contact them directly via website and price match) the Marriott in Rome had a room for $80.00 less on the Marriott website than these, so called MONEY SAVING SITES.
Answer: Can you please explain why you think Booking.com is not trustworthy please?
Answer: It depends on the hotel some don't charge until you arrive at hotel more will charge your card straight away check your booking it should tell you there
Answer: Trevago is hooked into Booking.com don't make a mistake and let trevago send you to booking.com go to Hotel.com which is more professional. I had to go to American Express customer serviced to complain and they gave a dead line for explanation. They had no explanation for crappy service and had to repay me.
Answer: You will need to pay taxes in addition to the quoted price. Call the motel and they will tell you about the taxes. A few places still don't charge exttra taxes e.g. Harris Ranch in California.
Answer: You can't. That's the whole idea. You provide a service, and your customers get to give their review of your place and your services.
