The overall reputation of the company reflects significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to inadequate customer service and a lack of accountability. Many reviews highlight issues such as harsh refund policies, unresponsive support, and problems with fraudulent listings, leading to frustrations over lost funds and unresolved complaints. While some customers appreciate the variety of accommodations offered, the overwhelming sentiment indicates a lack of trust in the company's commitment to customer satisfaction. To improve its reputation, the company must enhance its customer service responsiveness and take greater responsibility for the listings it promotes.

I booked a 4 star hotel through Booking. Com when I check in to the room it was 0 star when I complained they didn't even bother to reply.
Not using them again.
I reserved a room, and was double charged for a night. In order for this company to refund my over charge they wanted to charge me a cancelation fee of 160.00$ (the price of a room for one night) It was there mistake In the first place.
- Worst customer service.
- Higher rates than most of the similar websites/apps.
- No consideration what so ever to Covid emergencies.
- My Booking.com hotel reservation was done by a third party and much less than what I was charged by Booking.com (According to the hotel).
- They refused to refund me when I tested positive to Covid-19 and gave me the run around.
- Stay away ( I would recommend TripAdvisor or Hopper.com for hotels).
Horrible! We were told we didn't have a room at check in and booking was to alert us but didn't. Called to get a refund from booking and it took an hour on the phone with several hang ups to get it done. We haven't received our money but did get an email stating it would be in our account in 7-12 days. Unreal.
We booked a trip and tried to pay but their website was down, we called and they said we can pay at the resort. $123 per day
We get to the resort and they charged us $165 per day
The website said there was all this fun stuff to do and there was not. Everything was shut down and the resort was a dump!
This is the second time I book with booking.com.The first time I booked with them I paid for a HOTEL which names won't be mentioned because I don't want them to remove this review! Anyway I paid for a HOTEL and when I got there they told me that it was not for there HOTEL but was for there MOTEL ON THE SIDE STREET WITH A VIEW TO A SIDE STREET in which I paid extra for a ocean view. In which this hotel owned the motel next to them. We'll the hotel was gracious enough to fit us into a room that we originally paid for. They stated that this website was know to be little deceptive… NOW WITH THAT BEING SAID Here we are again we upgraded to a ocean view room paid the extra and we got a nice view of a side street with dumpsters all down the alley way. OCEAN VIEW MY FOOT! Again this hotel was nice enough to put me into a partial ocean view and also told me that we paid more through booking then we would have paid directly to this hotel! LESSON LEARNED HERE NEVER TRUSTING BOOKING. COM AGAIN…. WHAT YOU SEE WHAT YOU PAY FOR IS MOT ALWAYS WHAT YOU GET! It's a shame that the hotels have to take a hit or accommodate people for certain deception but again lesson learned!
Our room was advertised as having a sofa bed but didn't. On top of that the price was HIGH for this place.
I have used Booking.com in order to avoid speaking to individual hotels. When a recent cancellation issue came up, Booking.com told me to contact the hotel myself. If I have to do that, why am I paying them?!? It's been almost 3 weeks and no resolution. Customer service is useless. I contacted the hotel and they told me outright that my cancellation was ok. Booking.com is dragging their feet. I can't believe how any times I've used them in the past and now they are keeping my money. I will never use them again. I will contact the hotels on my own.
What a joke of company. The hotel was awful and the taxi booked through them didn't even arrive and left us almost missing our return flight but Booking.com following this is the reason for the review as dealing with their Indian customer service call centre following all the problems we has was worse than the problems. Avoid this company like the plague!
They knew I was needing a place during my brother's funeral, did not offer bereavement prices. Asked for a hotel with a pool. Did I need to specify indoor during the Winter?
Don't follow through with affiliate partnership rebate deals. They just keep your money and hang up. It's really one star review. Horrible service and just hang up on you. No further business from any of booking companies it owns.
Lined up a rental car with SIXT through them. Instructions to car rental were invalid and there was no good way to call to get a shuttle or any good way to get to their rental car center. Sent email to cancel because you couldn't actually talk to anyone. Got email next day saying they would not refund our rental.
We tried for over two hours that we will never get back before giving up an going to another rental car.
They are so disrespectful calling us name hanging up on us they even took money from my savings I couldn't believe this had happened they scam us the person name is James tsomsom
Personally I think booking.com is a bad company to work with. They sent me on a wild goose chase I live in Las Vegas and I came out to Long Beach for my birthday and when we got there they told us that they didn't even have a room scheduled for us, them we were told they didn't have any more rooms. After contacting booking.com we had to wait a couple of hours for th em to find another room. They sent me to another one and when I got there it was very low rated and in a drug territory, not to forget nasty. I spoke to the lady in the office of the second room and lucky for me they didn't have no rooms either, next week contact booking.com again to let him know that the lady said there was no rooms and he called the lady and tried to make it seem that we didn't want the room even though it wasn't even in good condition but the lady said that she never told him that we didn't want the room she told him that she didn't have any roles so from that point he never gave us our money back so I had to screwed up birthday that whole day until we went to the Westin on our own and just paid extra money this all started during the morning by the time we finally end up getting the room on our own it was night time so I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone as far as to book a vacation spot. Vanoss more money than we anticipated and someone more than likely got a free filthy room in a drug infested area. Off of our payment I wouldn't have booked this vacation for a dog.
I had booked a trip with my family and had to make cancellation due to testing positive for Covid 19. Despite all the proper documentation and even the airline agreeing to issue a full refund, Booking.com has not done so and continues to give me a very hard time. I would never using booking.com
Ever again.
I am very upset with Booking.com not taking the responsibility of the minimal service expected from a facility... (a) No accommodation exists at the location listed in the booking-confirmation, (b) The facility focal point confessed they do not have an accommodation that can meet our reservation of 6 people, (c) The facility did not take the minimal responsibility steps the time they realized that accommodation's referred location is wrong, means they did not actively call me to make me aware of their mistake. They simply reported No-Show, and Booking.com accepted that.
It is totally inappropriate, Booking.com preferred the un-honest information they received from the facility over my report, they did not support me and did not force the facility to provide me with the refund.
I booked a hotel with free cancellation, which I then cancelled. In their mobile app, on one page it shows the cost is X (and they charged my card X). On another page it shows the cost is Y, and they refunded Y (and ofcourse, Y is lower than X). When I contacted them - they said ask your bank. Even though the higher amount is listed on their app, in my bookings page, as the cost of my booking.
You can't make changes or cancel they tell you to contact the airline directly. The airline says they can't make changes when you use a travel agent. I will never "save" enough money with a booking site to make up for this loss. The plane has taken off and I just wasted enough time on hold to have driven.
I lost a huge amount of money because I was not able to cancel my flight according to booking.com policy, instead of the airlines. The customer service is very unhelpful and has difficulty understanding requests in general. It was a horrible experience booking with booking.com. The company policy disregards covid-19 and rights to cancellation. Booking.com doesnt follow the airline rules as expected, and its the last time I ever book with this agency.
I will never use Booking.com again. I was lied to several times. When I followed up on my concerns Booking.com told me to call the health department on the hotel I was staying at and only offered me false promises of someone calling me back within 24 hours to relocate me. They did not take an extremely situation seriously and failed to follow you. Please book through another site. I doubt they will be around operating this way. Save your self.
Answer: In my case they took my payment information and paid the hotel where I was going to be staying. Only to find out that the hotel was out of business and I had to prove that it was charged to my account. They did not find me a replacement hotel to stay in for the same price. Nor did they care that I was left without a place to stay. So beware before you purchase.
Answer: Don't waste time with booking.com. They have horrible customer service and will make every attempt to cheat you. Simply report the problem to your credit card company to get your refund.
Answer: Run. Run away. This company and the company used to insure their bookings are scams.
Answer: booking.com has horrible customer service. Don't use them.
Answer: You pay a non refundable price on line. When you check into your hotel, it's billed to your Bookings.com reservation plus incidentals (local calls, parking fees, resort fees, dining, bar fees, Europe charges local or city tax, spa fees...) the hotel will ask for a card as a hold for these fees. Use bookings.com, find the hotel you wish to stay in (get all info and contact them directly via website and price match) the Marriott in Rome had a room for $80.00 less on the Marriott website than these, so called MONEY SAVING SITES.
Answer: Can you please explain why you think Booking.com is not trustworthy please?
Answer: It depends on the hotel some don't charge until you arrive at hotel more will charge your card straight away check your booking it should tell you there
Answer: Trevago is hooked into Booking.com don't make a mistake and let trevago send you to booking.com go to Hotel.com which is more professional. I had to go to American Express customer serviced to complain and they gave a dead line for explanation. They had no explanation for crappy service and had to repay me.
Answer: You will need to pay taxes in addition to the quoted price. Call the motel and they will tell you about the taxes. A few places still don't charge exttra taxes e.g. Harris Ranch in California.
Answer: You can't. That's the whole idea. You provide a service, and your customers get to give their review of your place and your services.
