Feeling pretty ripped off. These are free samples that anyone can get at any fine department store, beauty store or directly from the vendor. So basically, we pay for samples that Birch Box is getting free from these companies to promote their products. Nice scheme. The best part of this box was the in this actual box; It's cute. But not worth $10.
I was a Birchbox subscriber for couple of years and enjoyed getting surprise make up and beauty items in my boxes. After a while I decided to cancel it because I had too many samples I wasn't using regularly. Also, their points system used to be great up until they changed it. Their customer support is amazing though.
I just received my first box and I'm disappointed. I thought I would get the items that were pictured in the ad for their January box- some I had been wanting to try! Nothing was the same, and in reality I would not have ordered this stuff.
I've had 4 past boxes shipped without issue, except that I've always been a bit disappointed with the contents compared to my other two subscriptions. It's January 26th, payment was deducted from my account on the 3rd. I still haven't received the shipment tracking email I've received in the past. It took me two days to find contact information to make a complaint to the company. No one's replied. It's obvious to me that the company intentionality makes it difficult to contact them. I am going to file a complaint to the BBB and report fraud to my bank. On the other hand IPSY is a great subscription to have that is comparable, the company is reliable and I enjoy the products that they send me.
I received my first box today after waiting a few weeks. I was so excited! I opened the outer box and excitedly opened the little black box only to find 5 little sample size products of junk! Needless to say after searching to no avail for their phone number to immediately cancel. I finally got a chat employee and I am just saying lesson learned for me! $10 thrown away!
I was initially quite excited to order a Birchbox (January 2017) after seeing an ad for two boxes for the price of one on Facebook. I'm a student, so the £10 + £2.95 pricetag did throw me off a little at first, but I ordered another one anyway, figuring it couldn't hurt to just try it out. NEVER HAVE I BEEN SO WRONG.
It's been 11 days since I ordered my box. The initial confirmation of my order that I received told me to expect my box within 5-8 days. 7 days after this confirmation email, I got an email saying that my box had only just been dispatched from the warehouse (that takes a week to do?) and that I should expect it in another 8 days. This is ridiculous. It's a bloody box. Other brands, even stuff from overseas, manage to get their stuff to me within 3 days!
I have already unsubscribed and do not intend to renew my subscription, no matter how "amazing" the contents of my box may be (I have not received it yet so I cannot judge this). I don't even think I'm going to get my two boxes for the price of one, and from other reviews, I don't even think it's worth messaging customer service to ask for it.
DO NOT ORDER FROM BIRCHBOX, try other monthly box brands such as Glossybox and others.
Here is an email I sent to the company yesterday. Still waiting for a response!
~First off, I want to start out by saying that I chose to pay for a subscription with Birchbox because of the convenience and quality of products, which I have enjoyed for approximately 18 months. However, after the lack in customer service I recently experienced, I am very disappointed with your company and the absence of value for your customers.
My Decemeber 2016 box was missing two samples. Since this was an honest mistake, I reached out to customer service to resolve the issue. I received a response within 24 hours and was notified that I would be receiving a replacement box. To my surprise, my replacement box had only one sample, instead of two.
I reached out to customer service yet again, and requested that my January 2017 box be shipped for free because of the inconvenience. To my disdain, my January box was sent to my past address, however when I contacted the apartment complex they informed me that they do not have the package.
How is it possible that my November Box, December Box and Replacement Box were sent to my current address, but my Free January Box was conveniently sent to my past address?
After being a customer of Birchbox for a year and a half, I thought my time and money would be valued, but your actions have proven otherwise. I already canceled my account and I no longer care to put any more time and effort in receiving my January box, or any further boxes for that matter.
I hope you take my case into consideration when evaluating your customer service or the lack there of.
I don't know what is going on with the rest of these people but I have enjoyed birch box. I even moved and got my box on time. I have never had bad makeup always great stuff. I am sorry for people's bad experiences. I think it's a great box with great products
Hubby ordered my 1st box and subscription. Birchbox enclosed a list of goodies they put in the box. Except, not all the goodies on the list were in the box.
Web site makes is impossible to chat or contact anyone on missing products from their list. No way to say, Hey, thank you, can I get them all, we are after all paying for this experience.
If you try any research for questions of how to get missing products, they give you (paying customer) no ability to question missing products, unless it's under the "special extra order" with which their reply on a rote answer line is, the assumption of you not having the money available.
So, if you're missing a product listed on their cute little card that accompanies they box, know you've paid for what they WANT to send you.

I bought a subscription for my sister as a Christmas present. Words cannot explain how disappointed I am. She candidly shared that she could use nothing in the box. Pink lipstick will not work. Who uses dry shampoo? I have; but it was a gel that was easily wiped out. Something to shave with... really? If I could rate below one star, I would.
I updated my delivery address with Ipsy and Birchbox. Ipsy delivered to the right address while birchbox did not. I emailed birchbox letting them know that they charged me for a box that I didnt receive. They emailed me back stating that they were sending a new box and that I would receive an email when it was being shipped. A week later I email them again inquiring about the box because I never received an email about one being shipped and customer service had no idea what I was talking about and now no one is replying back.
RIP oFF
Last Christmas, I received a subscription to Birchbox as a gift. Ever since then, I almost dreaded seeing my box arrive in the mail. On more than 3 occasions, I have had boxes fail to be delivered to me at all. Not only that, but I also have had multiple samples be delivered completely ruined! Broken perfume vials, shattered eyeshadow singles and I had a box delivered with some kind of nasty goop covering the inside. Many of the samples are laughably small to boot, and their shipping tracker doesn't work like it should. However, all of the customer associates I have spoken to have been polite and punctual when replying to my complaint letters. I'm just so tired of sending them. I honestly can't wait until my subscription ends.
I received a year subscription as a gift from my sister. I was super excited and looked forward to trying all kinds of products before committing to pay lots of money to wind up having to rerun stuff. I'm sure every girl goes through this... well, come to be that most products Birchbox samples can ONLY be bought through them and apparently "be made for birchbox". I'm disappointed with the product samples
First off birchbox is my least favorite subscription. But that's because I love make up! I have this box for skin Care only. Washing my face I isnt as fun as trying new make up. It isn't fair to say I don't like it and cry they send samples... cause guess what so does sephora... so does ipsy. It's ten dollars including shipping folks.
3 boxes and considerable amount of add ons... Complete crap. Do not waste your money or time. I have tried to contact their customer service and guess what... like the others... no response. Congratulations BIRCHBOX for failing miserably at your one purpose.
Not only did my first box come half spilled but its junk. My second one never showed and they never answered my emails nothing i cancelled its a cheap $#*! joke
I was lured into signing up for birchbox monthly treat only to be left disappoinited annoyed and frustrsted. The offer for September 2016 was sign up and get 2 boxes. II did. They took my money and NEVER SENT my boxes. I have emailed and called consistantly. Their phone number is never answered no matter what time of day you try. That leaves your only method of dealing with issues via email. Once again a nightmare as takes at least 2 days to get a reaponse. Eventually i did get a reply asking me to confirm my address... which was obviously correct as by now they had taken payment for October and aent this box. I confirmed immediately. But with their poor customer service and communication skills they reply back a week later saying its too late to resolve. There are much better companies to use... i wouldnt put yourself into their box!

I must say you will not get answer. I suggest to stop shopping here. There is no communication, money was taken from my bank account immediately but when there is an issue there is no-one there, you will not get any resolution. This has to be reported to Trading standards.
I have missing item with order. Money taken, they do not answer eve regarding returns, they do not refund money for returned items. They never answer phone!
I ordered an add-on product to be shipped with my monthly box. My credit card was charged for the product and it never showed up. After multiple customer service requests, plus messaging the company on every social media platform I could find, I finally gave up on them and disputed the charge with my bank. My wonderful bank immediately reversed the charge for me and I have yet to receive any kind of resolution from Birchbox. Needless to say I cancelled my subscription. DO NOT trust this company with your credit card information.
Every month I've had a problem with not receiving boxes/no tracking being sent. Numerous messages sent with no response. But money still being taken.
Answer: I've bought a few. I've liked several more enough to buy a full size item but haven't gotten around to it yet because I have enough of a similar product on hand for now.
Answer: The issue I've had with them is that their customer service contact information was difficult to locate, so I get it. I had to contact them over Twitter to get it. The email form on the website doesn't do you much good. Try sending an email to [email protected] for a better response. If all else fails, and you can't seem to get them to stop charging you, contact your credit card company, and let them handle it for you.
Answer: I work at a credit union. What I would recommend in this instance is canceling the card and then disputing unwanted charges. There is no way for the institution to cancel the subscription for you. However, as I said, we can issue you a new card number and help you dispute the charges that you did not authorize.
Answer: You get one point per dollar when shopping in the Birchbox shop. Additionally, reviewing the items you received in your Birchbox earns 10 points per review, and sharing your box on social media also yields you 10 points.
