ETA- after the snake died, we were able to actually measure it. It was a total 31 inches long. I gave a review on multiple websites for this awful company - one being better business bureau- the company actually went back and forth in comments to me and even had the nerve to say my NINE year old son and i just try to scam reptile dealers! Disgusting company, even worse customer service. I highly suggest purchasing absolutely nothing from this company or any company associated with them. I added a phot of the deceased snake :( it was belly up, but i couldnt bare my child accidently seeing her thar way, since he checked on her every morning when he woke up.
I highly recommend purchasing from anywhere else. I purchased a baby ball python. They took the payment out of my account immediately, but sent absolutely no confirmation on my order. Shipping was fast but that was the only positive thing that came along with this order. The company states florida, but the snake was shipped from texas. The snake was between 18-19 inches long. Nothing like the video "of a comparable snake" we would receive. There was zero information in the box. Not approximate age or the last time she was fed. Also, no information on if she had been given live or frozen mice. The Only way at all to "talk" to someone from the company is to text them. Emails are all automated and just tell you to text them anyway, so don't bother sending an email. I texted them the day after we received our order, and asked approx. Age, when is the last time she was fed, and if she had been given frozen or live mice to eat previously. They responded to wait 48-72 hrs to try and feed. Also that they eat fuzzy mice. We waited the 48 hrs, she wouldn't eat. We tried again after the 72 hours, still nothing. Her cage had two hides, one warm and one cool. She had a water dish. Her cage was set up great, but sadly i woke up this morning and she was dead. We hadn't even had her for one week. Please do not order from them. They do not get back to you in a timely manner, if at all. For live reptiles, you must report any issues withing 3 days. If you choose to order from them, keep everything your reptile was sent in along with the shipping label. Then send it right back. I am so upset, and so is my son who was really excited about our new snake that died within a week. Awful.

The baby was very active and curious from the second I opened the box when the shipment arrived. Now that he's been placed in his enclosure hes been burrowing, basking, making messes, and he even ate quite a few crickets right off the tongs without any hesitation, which typically I've noticed animals who have just been shipped either aren't hungry and most babies won't eat off tongs so readily. Definitely Recommend!
This seller sells unhealthy reptiles.
They respond kindly before purchase, but if it becomes a problem, they turn into evil.
I bought 4 Leopard Geckos from this seller on Monday, March 8,2021.
The next day the package arrived, and when I opened the package, I sent a leopard gecko without any insulation.
And 1 out of 4 Leopard Geckos appeared to be in very poor health.
It seemed to be a temporary condition due to stress during a long flight, so I took intensive care in the warm Vivarium.
That night I checked my Leopard Gecko, and one unhealthy lizard was struggling to bump itself from place to place in Vivarium.
It was midnight and it was difficult to take him to the vet, and I had to watch the sick Leopard Gecko without sleeping.
But in the end, he couldn't last a few hours and died.
I sent a picture to the seller at dawn. But in the morning, I sent him a text again with a picture.
There was no response. When I said that I would open a dispute, the answer came.
My college student was very excited about buying her first chameleon. She decided to use Big Apple Pet Supply. What a mistake! Her chameleon arrived dead! Why would they mail a reptile in the middle of winter to Reno?! On top of that, this company that claims to have been in business for 27 years with 1 million reptiles sold refused to refund my college student her money! Absolutely ridiculous! This company should know better and have better customer servive! I hope they enjoy the $135 they stole from my daughter! I will not recommend them to anyone.
Ordered 4 turtles and A leopard gecko was at home at del. Time but 2 of the turtles was dead other 2 OK and the gecko is OK but when I let them know about the order the 2 dead turtles all they said it was sad paid 140 for order and they did not even ask or replace the ones that came in dead not very happy
Ordered a salfin dragon from Big Apple Reptiles. When I received it you could tell it wasn't going to make it. Reptile was super cold wasn't moving. It wouldn't eat it was pooping blood. I did inform them that the dragon was super cold when delivered. Within two days I did notify them, they stand behind their low quality Reptiles. They basically said oh well, you lost your 200.00 dollars. Poor customer service for sure. I will not order from them again. I advise others also. Ordered a blue iguana from them also. Wasn't healthy looking at all either. Think I'll be out 500.00 altogether. Go with a better quality reptile company is my advise. I believe they sent me a green iguana, instead of my blue notified them also. There goes that low quality again. Out 60.00 more dollars, wasted my money with this company. Good luck
Placed an order paid for it charged 27$ for shipping then later that night got an email from them that they wanted 24$ more after i already paid the agreed shipping on the site or they could ship all i got was crickets absolutely ridiculous
I purchased a hatchling black rat snake and it's doing wonderful! It's very active and it has an attitude! It ate a frozen-thawed pinky 4 days after it came and is doing perfect! No mites, kinks, or any issues and loves to dig and climb!
Definitely will not give business again, I wouldn't recommend them. When I contacted them they became super defensive.
Well order my snake on Saturday night. And he was delivered on monday and received on Tuesday. Shipping was fast! And my snake was a little scared with the long flight since i live in Wa. And there in florida. My snake really tiny and has awsome patters. It looks like he had s skull on top of his head. I didn't received any info on the snake in the packaging. So i emailed the company they got back to me the next day, with all the question i wanted so helpful. I also am able to hold him without throwing to much of a fuss. Didn't bit me once. He rattle and hiss 2 time I help him till he calmed down. Stopped after that. He also has a very strong feeeding response. And bit the pinkies 5 time. He also is eating pre-killed. So makes it easy. Then ate it. And looked like he wanted more. Very happy with purchasing and would purchase again. Thanks guys for the awesome corn snake.

I purchased Two tarantulas and the person who helped me was awesome, they hand picked the best ones because the colors were awesome and they ate the same day I got them. Bravo!

I've bought 2 snakes from them and I am very happy. I will certainly be buying from them, again in the near future. It is super easy to speak to someone if I have questions. So I definitely appreciate the easy communication.
After writing my previous review I started receiving messages from an unknown number 7 4 7 9 9 *******. They are sending me vague threats asking my mother's name and address. These people are jokes, iv already reported the number to the police. A company like this should not be able to do business.
Waist of time. I received an email about corn snakes and when i attempted to buy one, they accused me of fraud and when I sent them the photos they requested they said it was sold. I mostly keep tarantulas and IV bought all of them online and this is the first time iv had a bad experience trying to buy.
Paid almost $90 for a baby bearded dragon, they aren't specific or let you know in anyway what the age of the baby is. By the size I'd say a few weeks. Again I have no choice but to guess. And the 4or 5 categories to choose from... one picture of a dragon that's obviously not anything like what I got... didn't have my hopes up too high anyways. But if a category says high colored and see the example is a yellow dragon Don't Send Them A BROWN dragon that looks nothing like the picture, like it's from petsmart... dude the ones at persmart have more color on them then this little guy. Ima love and take care of it regardless of its color, but i was given options and paid for something i picked out and did not get that, so its a little disappointing. I have a grown hypo citrus dragon. So there's a big difference here. They need to work on their website. It's just not going to bring them business. The baby seems healthy. Eating good and is responsive and active. I had alot of issues with my order pending for several days. And not being approved until I called them personally to ask what the deal was even though the amount was taken out my bank as if it was a done deal. I hope they can take this as positive criticism to better their work. Thank you for my new dragon friend, he will be in a great home.
Seriously - look at least at a preview picture - hard to see and hurts my eyes
They are a bit pricey but you know what they say, you pay for what you get. I got my VERY first snake from them. They are very helpful and answered all my questions and concerns. They package their animals very well and and offer such a great variety of exotics. Ive also gotten many cages from them, all great quality for the prices. I hope to do more business with them in the future.

Answer: Absolutely a legit company! DO NOT ORDER from backwaterreptiles.com, they sent a sick baby skink that needed an emergency vet visit that cost my daughter $208, she paid $220 for the skink from them to begin with and it ended up dying.
Answer: Excellent options, great prices, and they quickly respond to emails, which many other reptile dealers don't do.
Answer: Not worried bout it what's done is done. No turning back the hands of time. Lesson learned

There's something seriously wrong with this individual who resides in Flemington, NJ and goes by the name of Kristopher Stryker. The individual has multiple orders to our company for a $450 corn snake with different email addresses, names and each one came up with a high listing as potential fraud. According to the bank information, they did not match what was on file with them and we denied sending a $450 order to someone who's purchasing with credit card and information that could not be verified. Since this time this individual has continued to review us negatively simply because we denied to sell him an expensive animal based on the issue above. He also tried to use the Sezzle payment system on our website and they denied the purchase as well. We have absolutely no idea what this person is talking about on this review as we are in Florida with a 561 area code so likely he's in trouble with someone else. Please stop harassing us on websites and making false claims. We do not wish to have any contact from you in any way. We will defend our good name as we have been in business for 26 years and online since 1994.
