Bad, comumication with customer service. Wont call you back, don't e-mail you, just take your money. You read it says free, to sign up. They take 149.95 from your card... times are hard, i can't afford this... sure would bid on items, alot lesser... why can't they just refund money back to the cards... avoid tension with people... dont understand... there is alot of auction site, they are fair... help someone...!
I registered for the site for free. Once there i choose a 45 dollar bid package and started bidding but when i checked my account page they signed me up for a 149 package. I sent them two emails to have it corrected because i was only trying out the site i never received a response. I then called and only got an automated system. So i tried to speak to some thru their automated chat and the person there only tried to sell me more bids. I am reporting them to my bank as fraud since i can't get any help from them.
Took my 149.95 and cannot get it back, website confusing to say the least. I did not even know I had spent money until i won an item. They say too bad, they cannot help and i should have read their terms better. You better believe I will slash their name to hell and back. I work hard for my money in this economy and though this looked like a good way to purchase for less... how misled was I... I won a 50.00 gift card that i will probably never get and all it cost me was 149.95. I am beyond ticked off. They were not helpful at all and they are a scam and rip off. Stay away please...
STAY AWAY - they do not deliver your goods. I won stuff in June and they still have not sent me anything even though I have emailed them several times. Even if they do deliver - 5 months? They take your money right away but apparently are unable to mail gift cards - really? Is it that hard?
I had placed and won bids on "www.Bidsauce.com" I have a lot ot winnings but it has been since July and is going on three months and still have not sent my winnings. Not one. I am very upset about this. Please be careful before joing www.bidsauce.com. I have a feeling that they are going out of business. Be careful. Let the buyer beware.
They charged me $149.00 automatically upon joining just to place a bid and the cost of this bid package was not apparent at all untill the charge was made! This upset me and now, it is Sunday and they have no no phone avilable until Monday - Friday so I guess I'll be charged and have to fight to get my money back... I am ultra-pissed.
If you're having enough doubts to research this site then trust your insticts and don't waste your time or you're going to lose your money. It's a SCAM! Use Ebay. At least your money is safe with them...
The worst customer service in the world stay away from this company. The customer service mailbox is usually full and even if it wasn't you probably wouldn't receive a call back since I didn't.
BEWARE OF THIS WEBSITE, AS IT IS A SCAM. I WON MY FIRST AUCTION ON JULY 28, A $50.00 GIFT CARD. SINCE THEN, I HAVE WON OVER 20 SIMILAR CARDS, BUT HAVE YET TO RECEIVE THE FIRST ONE IN THE MAIL. THAT IS OVER SIX WEEKS. THEIR ADVERTIZING STATES YOU WILL HAVE YOUR ITEM IN 2 WEEKS. I HAVE CONTACTED THEIR ON LINE CHAT TWICE, ONLY TO HAVE SOME FOREIGN MORON HAND ME EXCUSES ABOUT THE VENDORS RAN OUT OF GIFT. CARDS. "RIGHT". I CALLED THE CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE, AND ASKED TO SPEAK TO THE MANAGER, AND GOT THE RUN AROUND ABOUT THE MANAGER WAS ON THE OTHER LINE, AND COULD NOT TALK RIGHT NOW. THE SERVICE REP. ASSURED ME SHE COULD HELP, AND TOLD ME THE SAME STORY ABOUT GIFT CARD SHORTAGE. WHEN I TOLD HER THAT WAS A BUNCH OF CRAP, AND LET ME TALK TO THE MANAGER, SHE TOLD ME SHE WOULD HAVE HER CALL ME BACK. YOU GUESSED IT. NO CALL BACK. ALSO NO ANSWER TO E MAIL REQUEST FOR ASSISTANCE. SAVE YOUR MONEY FOLKS. THIS SITE IS A SCAM,
After reading what the others wrote, I wanted to help also by sharing my thoughts. After signing up with bidsauce (but not buying anything yet) the confirmation email said to click on a link that went to a sight called "Tiny URL." I stopped everything right there: 1) because the Tiny URL site has caused me trouble before and, 2) a confirmation link should lead back to the original site.
Also, Marya K., if you are in fact a real person, then I apologize. But I suspect Marya K. Is a plant. I look out for things like that one opinion sites; reviews that are written too well and sound just a little too much like commercials. The average person doesn't really talk like that. = /
But thank you all for your reviews.
I feel cheated and misled. It was billed as a penny auction. I bought a bidding package for $85.00 which gave me 85 bids plus they gave me 15 bonus bids. I started with 100 bids total. I soon found out that the pennies were actually dollars disguised as pennies. Example: If you were bidding on a $50 walmart gift card and it was going for $. 17, that was actually $17.00. So, as soon as the $50 card had bids of $. 50 or more it was auctioned for more than it was worth. Of course the cummulative total was from more than one bidder but the non-winner loses those bids. It is not a true acution where you hold onto your bids if you don't get the item.
There are other things I noticed while viewing the site. There were winners who would win multiple items for very small amounts; $. 03; $. 07; $. 09... Those bidders had unusual names that you would just associate with a "bidding" site (i. E. "iwon'tstop") instead of the ususal names you see on most wed sites (ladybug10, beachbum90,...). I think they were plants or owners to make you think the payoff was good but just for those people. Occasionally an "ordinary" person would win a bid but those items would not be the bargain items. They would be things like $100.00 Visa Check CArds and the bids would got to around $4.98. Which translates to realmoney language of $498.00.
The last thing that really gets me about this site is the scroll over. They will charge a click (not always but often enough) if your mouse goes near the bid pad or hovers. When I think of the time and energy I wasted on this site I really get sick. I will never fall for another deal like this again.
This is an auction site where bids cost money. The high bidder wins the auction but also has to pay up to 60% or one dollar per bid. So far I have one five auctions on this site but have yet to receive any merchandise from these auctions. Each time I contact the site and ask where my merchandise is I'm told it's in the mail when in actual fact nothing is in the mail. I would like to request that the site be investigated as a scam.
THIS SITE IS A CHEATING SITE.ITS CRAP. IF U R ACCUALLY LUCKY TO WIN U HAVE TO PAY ALMOST 7$ SHIPPING ON A GIFT CARD THATS CRAP BECAUSE THEY CAN EMAIL U THE CARD NUMER AND IT ALSO DOESNT TAKE THAT MUCH TO SEND A GIFT CARD.MY MOM IS A POTAL CARRIER SO I KNOW. YEAH IT LOOKS GOOD U GET 10 FREE BIDS WELL, BEWARE IT SUX. HAVE A NICE DAY@-----------------}
I really liked the website and was so excited I won for the first time. Its been now been a little over 4 weeks and I have yet to recieve my prize ($50 gift certificate). I did contact them by email and they sent me a fedex link with a tracking number, however, when I check the status of my order on the fedex website w/the tracking number they had in the email I get, "Not Found. No information for the following shipments/FedEx Office orders has been received by our system yet. Please try again later or contact Customer Service." I guess this was a $30 dollar lesson learned! Be careful!
Answer: I have been using penny auction sites for some time now. I do not work for a penny auction site, and am therefore not affiliated with them. I am a residential loan officer. I am a member of bid sauce. I just read a good majority of the complaints on here and wanted to make some general observations. 1. To the people who feel scammed by making a $149 purchase. Get over it. It clearly states on the site what you are purchasing. Once you have registered on the site, you could hit backspace, or go to the homepage without buying bids, and could purchase them at a later time if you chose. It even gives you several options of what size of the bidpack you desired to buy. It then asks for your credit card information to pay for the TOTAL that is directly in front of you. If you feel duped, because of that, then you are an idiot. You selected a product, they gave you a total, and you gave them your credit card number to purchase the item... Is it really that difficult to comprehend? 2. To those of you who couldn't understand how penny auctions work. Ever heard of doing a little research prior to? Everyone that knows anything about the basics of penny auctions knows that you purchase your bids prior to, and then use those bids to bid on items. If you win the item, then you pay for the "winning bid amount". This goes for any site... (Quibids, BidCactus, Arrowoutlet etc.) It's REALLY not BidSauce's problem that you haven't done your homework. Don't be an idiot. Do your research! 3. Shipping related issues: This one I am unsure of, and could warrant a valid claim. I recently won my first gift cards from the site, so I can't comment as to whether or not they honor their wins. From reading your posts, it appears that the site has been up and running for a good while, so I'm assuming that they would either A.) Have to be honoring their wins to stay in business that long or B.) Have been repeatedly ripping customers off for the entire time, which would baffle me to think that they have managed to escape being shut down all this time. Can anyone post anything about having actually received items they won? I'd be curious if they are just slow on their shipping, or are honestly ripping people off... I hope you don't take my comments the wrong way! I know many of you are frustrated, just a personal observation:) Marshall
