PLEASE DON'T BE LURED INTO THIS
BIDSAUCE.COM. THEY TOOK $149.00 OUT OF MY BANK ACCOUNT INSTANTLY. I HAD TO CALL MY BANK AND CHANGE MY DEBIT CARD NUMBER AND WAIT FOR A NEW ONE.
I NEVER EVEN GOT TO BID AND WHEN I TRIED TO READ THE AGREEMENT MY COMPUTER WOULD SHUT DOWN FROM THEIR SITE.
I CAN'T GET MY MONEY BACK,... SO THIS IS TO WARN EVERYONE THAT THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY THE FIRST THING,... AND YOU WON'T GET IT BACK.
I CONTACTED THEM BY EMAIL,... AND THEY SAID, THEY WOULD REFUND $40.00 BUT THE AGREEMENT WAS THAT IT COST $149.00 TO JOIN AND GET POINTS. I TOLD THEM THAT I NEVER GOT TO READ THE AGREEMENT THAT WHEN I TRIED TO CLICK ON THE AGREEMENT THAT IT WOULD SHUT DOWN THE SITE AND MY COMPUTER WOULD SHUT DOWN.
I LEARNED MY LESSON. IF SOMETHING SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT IS!.
PLEASE KNOW THAT. BIDSAUCE.COM IS AFTER TRUSTING PEOPLE. DON'T LET THEM GET YOUR MONEY,... THEY ARE SCAMMERS!
I followed my email advertisement; I filled in the registration information, including payment methods (I assumed that's for bids). Next I know was presented with a receipt and order #******* for my purchase of 250 bids, Bid sauce Buying Power... costing me $149.95. I was beyond shock, I feel cheated ans misled; what a website confusing; what a SCAM as there was no reading material about this charge. Well, I checked out the site since my credit card account was charged; I used up 157 bids in 45 minutes for a $50 gift card and win nothing; that is equal to $75, a 50% of my total charge. It would have cost much less to purchase a $50 gift card; at least I will have my merchandise. My hard earned money is gone to such SCAM Artist, it is sickenly. I would like this site be investigated, it ripoff customer, they use all kinds of trickery to make you believe it is real.
Stay away from such site... SCAM... SCAM... SCAM
Better Business Bureau can definitely stop these fraudulent activities of Bidsauce. But in order for them to act is to provide them the physical address of Bidsauce. Please log on to www.bbb.org and file your complains.
BAD NEWS, thieves rotten horrible scam SCAM serivce actually wrote my congress man to get this looked at and shut down. Leave it alone unless you wish to get ripped off. Don Lupre is more honable than the administrators / owners of this website. Total rippoff, save your money! Ebay is at least an auction site this is some kind of ripoff site for fools and I was a fool (once!) Nixon was more honest than these guys... should be banned for life from the internet. Hope some district attorney somewhere is investigating these guys! BAD NEWS and anyone siding with them probably works for them... SCAM CON ARTIST is too good a title!
I joined about 2am this morning... screwed up by submtting payment info. Checked my account and $149.95 was charged to my card. Did live chat with an operator, I requested cancellation... she said... a request for refund will be submitted. Will see if refund is valid later this week.
This is the first time that I have encountered a business who's goal is to separate one from their money.
DO STAY AWAY... FAR AWAY. Clear your browser cache and set it to "zero"

This website is a complete scam! After registering I found out they charged my credit card $149.95. No answer after calling (always busy) and then talking on line with a live chat person was told they do not give refunds and pretty much too bad!
I have protested this charge with my bank and hopefully something can be done but not holding my breath. This site should be illegal and stop taking money from unsuspected people. Do not use this site.
Stay clear of this website! It's only been 48 hours since I signed up but they have not responded to any customer inquiries via phone or e-mail. They haven't even sent me an e-mail to "verify" my account. When I try to call their line is an automated answering machine. NO LIVE PERSON! This is an expensive scam, and the worst part is that I now have to fight to get my money back through my bank which I am determined to do. Do not fall for this website.
Like many of you, I was dupped into paying for a $149 bid sauce package. I didn't realize there was a fee for joining. I thought i was getting a promo. I went onto the auction placed several bids felt ripped off, phoned customer service, had to wait a week and now have been given this email by bid sauce stating they can only refund me $40 because I didn't read the fine print. I really wonder if this is legitimate for them to do. I really want a full refund. Below is what they sent me. Tell me what you think.
Bidsauce has made every effort to clarify to consumers exactly what they are going to receive upon purchase. Prior to completing the registration process, the customer is required to read and understand the terms and conditions in which it explicitly states "3. By entering your credit card information on the Website you are authorizing Bidsauce to charge your card for the amount stated at time of purchase."
Prior to processing the customer's order, it is made clear in three different and conspicuous places on the order page that this is a sale and upon entering their credit card information, the customer will be charged the amount stated on the page. When customers enter their credit card information and hit the "Start Bidding" button, they are agreeing to pay $149.95 to receive a 250 bidbox (value $200.00) plus 50 bonus bids to start bidding on the auctions posted on Bidsauce.com.
Bidsauce.com pays 3rd party entities to bring customers to our site. As a result, for every person who purchases a bidbox on our site, we are required, under contract, to pay a non-refundable commission. As a result, we are only able to refund a portion of the purchase price. In an effort to help resolve this issue, we are happy to offer you a $40.00 refund. This partial refund will also allow you to maintain the original 250 bids purchased (excluding the 50 bonus bids), with the additional benefit of the Sure Sauce Guarantee. If you are not previously familiar with penny auction pricing, this is an incredible price.
I as well as the other reviews I have seen feel cheated! I did not have a chance to actually say yes I want to purchase the bids, once I put in my card info it immediately charged me 150.00. So I bid and yes I also won a 50.00 gift card... so far 3 weeks no sight of the card. I will dispute the charges on my credit card. I suggest others do the same... if nothing else it will make them uneasy and possibly lose their right to take credit cards.
OK, I did not read the fine print... so I ended up with a 149.95 charge when I thought I was just signing up. What a scam!
I had the charge canceled, but this is a fishy business practice at best. Stay away from these people.
Stay away far far away scam they take the money run poor customer service 150 in the hole nothing to show for it lesson learned the hard way
Definitely a site to avoid. I 'won' an auction on this site, and it's been over three months since I won the item, and the only thing I've gotten so far are excuses and outright lies from their customer service department.
I also got dupped for $30. It looked so good at first and I won a $75 Walmart card but never received it either. Its been about 6 weeks now and nothing. Defenite SCAM!
I followed a Facebook link to check out this site. Seemed cool. I filled in the registration information, including payment methods (I assumed for bids). I was then presented with a receipt for my purchase of 300 bids... costing me $149.95!
I contacted BidSauce (which isn't easy) and I was assured that I would be contacted within 2-5 business days and I should not have any issues with a refund.
So far, over three weeks later, no contact, my credit card has had three overdrafts ($$$) and has be frozen. BBB can do nothing.
DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH BIDSAUCE.
Scams don't work against smart people. It's the stupid ones that keep hoping to get something for nothing that keep scammers in business. Do you really believe that there are people out there just waiting to give you money? You truly believe that if you sign up and "win" you will get more than you paid for? It's not the scammer's fault that people get ripped off, it's the people trying to get something for nothing who do it to themselves!
Just a word of wisdom, if you buy from a site. You want it to be a SECURE website, meaning that it has been checked and verified as legitimate and can be trusted. You can find this in the browser address box, where the website address goes. It should read "https..." Notice the "S", this means that it is a "SECURE" website and can be trusted readily. Website companies have to have special approval for this to be approved and given. BIDSAUCE.COM, although it says that they are a "secure" site, does not have an "https" to verify it. Check out a few of your favorite sites that deal with money or deals with entering personal information, and you will immediately know what i'm talking about. Words of wisdom from a tech nerd. I hope that this clears up any misconceptions and skepticism about this and any other website. (an example of a secure website would be, "paypal", or portions of "ebay" where when you click on register, you immediately see in the address bar that it switches from, "http" to "https". This tells you that, it is secure, and has been verified as safe by the "web Gods" so to speak.
https://bidsauce.com/faq (Word for word)
-What are the costs associated with the auctions?
The base cost for a bid is $1. However, you can buy bids at a discounted price when bought in bid packages of 25, 50, 100, 250, or 500. When you win an auction, you will pay the "item sold" price listed on the auction IN ADDITION to what you have spent on bidding for that item.
-Is there a guarantee on auctioned products?
Purchased items are subject to the warranty provided by the manufacturer. Bidsauce.com does not offer product guarantees.
-What is your return policy?
If you are not satisfied with any auction item you have purchased, you may return it for a full refund within 14 days, unused and in its original package. A full refund is considered to be the price you paid for the winning item at the end of the auction at check-out, this does NOT include shipping and handling charges. No refund will be given for the cost of any or all bids that may have been used to place a bid.
So, basically- everytime you bid, you're paying a dollar and if you don't win, you don't get that dollar back. If you do win, you are being "double billed" paying for the prize AND paying for your bid for the prize.
Not only that, but on TOP of that, you are being billed for a shipping charge? And "bidsauce.com does not offer product guarantees". So... they haven't even checked to see if it's in working condition.
Oh, and if you decide you don't like it, you can ship it back and they'll refund you for the product- but not for your bid for the product.
I would say it's the worst scam ever, but some people ACTUALLY think they are getting a good deal- so perhaps they are not the worst scam...
Legal scam. Lying and stealing best describes them.
Joined in October for$149.00 unknown to me, bid on and won three prizes. I have already emailed customer service once and received the old "we're backed up and you will receive an email when your items ships. I have received no other contact from the company, though they took my money (and others) fast enough they are irritatingly slow. Their customer service is almost nonexistant. It's not really the $149.00 because even though they use underhanded marketing to get it by placing it at the bottom of the screen when they tell to "submit registration now" about mid page. What does irk me is the fact that I followed their shady rules won and PAID for prizes with exorbent shipping fees and now they won't honor their end and send the products. I have watched this site with great interest since my no-show prizes and this company is making money and still ripping people off. What they are doing is called stealing in many of the 50 US states and you can go to jail for it. I will update again about these crooks as they send me more bologna.
When I first saw the site I was like "Wow! Fun!" but it seemed too good to be true. So before signing up I looked for reviews of the site. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH! I will have nothing to do with bidsauce! I am so sorry for what you all have been through but thank you for saving me!
Answer: I have been using penny auction sites for some time now. I do not work for a penny auction site, and am therefore not affiliated with them. I am a residential loan officer. I am a member of bid sauce. I just read a good majority of the complaints on here and wanted to make some general observations. 1. To the people who feel scammed by making a $149 purchase. Get over it. It clearly states on the site what you are purchasing. Once you have registered on the site, you could hit backspace, or go to the homepage without buying bids, and could purchase them at a later time if you chose. It even gives you several options of what size of the bidpack you desired to buy. It then asks for your credit card information to pay for the TOTAL that is directly in front of you. If you feel duped, because of that, then you are an idiot. You selected a product, they gave you a total, and you gave them your credit card number to purchase the item... Is it really that difficult to comprehend? 2. To those of you who couldn't understand how penny auctions work. Ever heard of doing a little research prior to? Everyone that knows anything about the basics of penny auctions knows that you purchase your bids prior to, and then use those bids to bid on items. If you win the item, then you pay for the "winning bid amount". This goes for any site... (Quibids, BidCactus, Arrowoutlet etc.) It's REALLY not BidSauce's problem that you haven't done your homework. Don't be an idiot. Do your research! 3. Shipping related issues: This one I am unsure of, and could warrant a valid claim. I recently won my first gift cards from the site, so I can't comment as to whether or not they honor their wins. From reading your posts, it appears that the site has been up and running for a good while, so I'm assuming that they would either A.) Have to be honoring their wins to stay in business that long or B.) Have been repeatedly ripping customers off for the entire time, which would baffle me to think that they have managed to escape being shut down all this time. Can anyone post anything about having actually received items they won? I'd be curious if they are just slow on their shipping, or are honestly ripping people off... I hope you don't take my comments the wrong way! I know many of you are frustrated, just a personal observation:) Marshall
