I've been a customer for many years and slowly, the number of camera stores seems to be drying up. But this site is still the absolute best! It provides the most detail for every product, gives you links to almost all of the compatible accessories, and when you post a question, both the manufacturer's representative and a B&H rep will chime in within 24 hours to give you a thorough answer, including helpful links. There is great value in signing up with their Payboo credit account, as it gives you discounts equivalent to sales tax. I will continue to come back here for all of my needs. They have the same price as any other retailer, if not better.

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with B&H Photo and video Online Store. This was my first time purchasing from their website, and it turned out to be an absolute nightmare. I purchased a brand new DJ controller, but when it arrived, the packaging was damaged, and so was the product. (see pictures attached)

When I reached out to their customer service team, I was met with indifference and unhelpfulness. They refused to take any responsibility for the damaged product or offer any sort of reimbursement. It's their responsibility to ensure that products are packaged correctly and reach their customers in good condition.

Despite my numerous attempts to resolve the issue, B&H Music has been unresponsive and uncooperative, leaving me with a damaged product and no recourse since the product is not in stock anymore and they can't send a replacement. This experience has left me with a bitter taste, and I will never shop from their store again. I highly recommend that others avoid B&H Online Store and opt for more reputable retailers who actually care about their customers and the quality of their service

Valentin: Thank you for your order and this feedback. We regret your dissatisfaction. We are sorry the product delivered to you was apparently damaged in transit after it left us. Normally we would issue return authorization for an even exchange and send you another of the same product, but the item is temporarily unavailable. On our site it is listed as "New Item - Coming Soon." Unfortunately we do not have a reliable ETA at this time.

On 04/18/23 we created and emailed return authorization with a pre-paid return label and also offered a discount of $75 if you agree to keep the unit as-is. You have three options:
- Accept our offer of a discount and keep what you have.
- Return what you received for a refund.
- Return what you received for an even exchange.

Replacement of old MacBook and iPad plus peripheral gear. Significant changes in connections to back up devices and large display devices requiring details needed to obtain correct gear to be shipped to my location in the West. Website details, illustrations and customer reviews provided great insight. Made one phone call to Sales Department. The representative was knowledgable and offered a couple options with upside/downside on alternatives. As yet incomplete as delivery is 3 days, but thus far very good experience.

I Ordered a nikon z6ii mk ii thinking it was a US warranty. Come to find out, it's a gray market and the way to find out that it is gray market is to look in "what's in the box section" and see where it says BH warranty. That's what read between the lines actually means because they will scam you into paying full price for a gray market item. Once I found out it was gray market, I called and spoke to a manager that was condescending and spoke down to me making sound like a liar. When I asked where it indicated it was a gray market item, he said it was under the "mirrorless" word in the description page. When in fact it never did, then he says you have to look at it from your browser and not your phone. I order from my phone, all the time and it never indicated it, on there. Long story short, I am never buying from them again because there are plenty of other stores that wouldn't scam you into thinking you're buying US warranty item. B&H, I've been ordering from you for over 20 years and it will stop now. I also spoke to another manager and he wasn't any better. Sure he was apologetic but that's no good! I hope you shop around before going to them! Never again!

Unnecessarily difficult ordering experience

Don't waste your time -- order from somewhere else instead. Here is how I wasted 45 minutes of my day (not including the time spent writing this review). I went to B&H's website to purchase a $225 SSD drive. It said if I apply for the "payboo" credit card I would receive a credit in the amount of the tax which was $15.75 and could use the account immediately. I said ok, applied, was approved for several thousand dollars, but the card kept getting declined. I chatted with someone from B&H who said it was the bank's fault (Comenity which issues the B&H card) and I should call the bank. I did and the bank told me it is B&H's fault because the website keeps trying to put it through with a CVV code which doesn't exist because it's the first purchase, and keeps resulting in a decline. The bank tells me to call B&H. I call B&H back and someone else told me, again, it's the bank's fault and will call the bank for me. At the end I don't know whose fault it is, but what I do know is that it wasn't mine and I couldn't waste anymore time while they point fingers at each other so that I could--hopefully--save $15.75. So I ordered it from one of B&H's competitors instead and the process was nice and smooth, the same price, and same delivery date. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time with B&H and/or their "payboo" credit card program.

Beware of this store!

@All_customers: I ordered a dive light ($300) which happened to be defective (one of the main functions is absent) when the product was *******@Non-US customers: I paid the import taxes together with my purchase - after the defective product was sent back to B&H, the replacement light was sent to me without pre-paid import taxes. On behalf of the customs, the carrier thus requested $75 that I had to pay before they deliver the parcel. Although I have paid two times the import taxes, B&H refuses to reimburse me one of these._____________@B&H:
1) May I recall that I have email exchanges with the B&H customer service since September? All B&H messages automatically start with "Thank you for contacting the Customer Service Department at B&H Photo Video and Pro Audio.", and end with "Please let me know if you require any further assistance.", but no solution, including any commercial gesture, is proposed to the customer.
2) European customs apply the same process as the US ones (as links are not allowed in reviews, please go to help.cbp.gov and check for Drawback - fees collected upon importation of goods). When a product is imported, if this product leaves the country for any reason (in this case, a defect of a brand new item sold by B&H), it is the task of the payer (in this case, B&H who provides the payment on behalf of the customer) to file the drawback claim.
Actually, imagine that, following the discovery of the defect, the customer has requested a full refund of the payment from B&H – in such case, there will be no sending of any replacement item.
Needless to say, the sending of a second item is considered by Europe or US' customs as the import of another product, i.e., taxes need to be paid by someone (sender or receiver) – in this case, the customer had no choice than paying these taxes in order to get the product delivered by the carrier.

Thank you for your order and this feedback. We regret your dissatisfaction. The original transaction was dated 08/09/22. The second shipment was processed on 08/29/22. After this much time has elapsed there is little that can be done to alter this situation. For the first order, the customer conveyed VAT to us for us to convey to his government on his behalf as a convenience. The VAT was not paid to us and we did not receive it. For the second order we informed the shipper this was a warranty replacement transaction. It is up to his government to accept that declaration. BE AWARE OF BUYING EXPENSIVE ITEMS FROM THEM!. YOU COULD NOT RECEIVE THEM AND LOSE YOUR MONEY!
I placed an order for an item that cost 1K. After 8 days I received an item different that I requested. If I wanted to place an online to return I was gonna be charged taxes and shipping for a product way different that the one I bought. Had to call in order to verify, they mentioned they were going to "investigate". After a month of submitting an order, they mentioned that they were not at fault and that they were not gonna refund neither sent the item.
No more explanations given.
I would have expected more of a customer service in what to do in this situation after buying a $1.000 product from them and not having receive it yet (even if they were "supposed" to be not at fault.

NEVER again getting anything from this company.

About a week ago ago, I visited the BHPhotovideo.com website, merely to view the price of an item.
Since then, my mailbox has been barraged by a non-stop stream of solicitous emails I never subscribed to. I have prompted the UNSUBSCRIBE box, received confirmation thereof, but the emails just keep coming.
Apparently, BHPhotovideo merely changes an item in their user name/local part. E.g. Dealzone; newsletter; specials; etc. then continues as before.
Contacting BHPhotovideo proved fruitless: seemingly, they are as dismissive as they are unscrupulous. There has been no reply, and the stream of Solicitous Adverts continue unabated.
Given their apathy towards requests, I am forced to advise other prospective customers NOT to visit the website of this obnoxious, in-your-face dealer in the first place! Aggressive sales tactics are bad enough, but this form of Cyber Bullying is reprehensible. This vendor is shamelessly abrasive.
