I have ordered lots of books from this site. Always a good experience. The books are in good condition and arrive in a timely manner.
I cannot emphasize enough the outstanding work performed at BWB and the only improvement needed is on the platform. One major frustration is the inability to return to the last item viewed and instead I get returned to the beginning of the search. Even given that failing, I still shop BWB first.
I can find anything I want thru BWB. Timely fashioned. Delivery quick. I'm doing a bible study, you always have my reference books so I can study along with the Pastor. I am thankful I found this site.

Better World Books never fails to give a good experience. Recently purchased an old cookbook for a friend, and expected "good condition" to be meh; but this hard-cover book was in excellent condition and will make an awesome gift. I luv this company and what they do for literacy.
Found an out-of-print HB astronomy book I loved in 5th grade (I'm 71)! Author (James L. Pickering) wasn't even on Wikipedia, but there's a Pickering who was an astrophysicist--I'm guessing a son. Plus I love the idea of recycling books to school systems/libraries in need.
I just found out (via investigative report in "The Nation" that Bill Gates, whom I thought was such a good guy, is trying to destroy public education--this is right out of the Trump/Mercer/Koch Bros playbook. "Let private charities support the schools"; & "I don't want MY taxes educating other peoples' kids (i. E. exposing them to dangerous ideas like evolution & critical thinking)".
Plus, let's give poor kids IPads in kindergarten--"You need them to keep up w/ the rich kids on the other side of town." Did you know that NONE of the SiVa billionaires lets their kids have screens until they're like 10? THEY know the brain/emotional damage 7 hours a day watching a screen can do to growing minds.
So keep those books out of the landfills, and FIVE CHEERS FOR BWB!

My book arrived quickly, was well packaged & in great condition. Really pleased to find a book I remembered from my childhood, & which seems to now be out of print, at a reasonable price.

The book arrive a little bit late because chilean mail problems but it was in perfect conditions. And the price is cheap.
Over time I can usually find the books I want at a price I'm prepared to pay. I like that they recycle Library books as it saves them going to landfill. As I'm overseas it usually takes about a month or so for the books to arrive but they almost always turn up eventually and when they don't I always get good customer service.
Lots of options. Fast shipping. Great prices. I like that I can choose the copy I get in terms of wear and tear.
For 20 years, I have relied on Amazon and eBay for price and ABE and Alibris for very good to fine used books, mostly out-of-print. As a collector, hard cover books and edition are important. For books that I don't intend to keep after reading (primarily fiction), BWB is perfect because I can purchase hard cover books, usually ex-library but without an over abundance of stickers and stamps in very good condition for $4.98. At this price, I have been able to read fiction authors who write numerous books with the same protagonist and in order that they were written (see below pic). BWB's service is excellent as I receive the books quickly, not quite as fast as Amazon Prime but not many days thereafter and also free shipping. Very pleased to have recently discovered this site and highly recommend BWB to all book lovers.
