I read so many books that buying them brand new is cost-prohibitive. I am one of those folks who prefers books to E-books and libraries rarely have what I want to read. As a retired teacher, literacy is extremely important to me so I appreciate that this is important to this company as well.
I like BetterWorld and what they stand for, hence having purchased from them a couple of times.
However, in this case I spend extra money to obtain a book that was described as 'as new'. When it arrived it was in good condition on the exterior with no creasing on the spine, but inside contained underlinings and pen markings - so not as new at all. I could have spent less and got a copy that was supposedly in not as good condition.
They need to check and describe the quality of the books more carefully. Let's face it, for an extra $7 or so I could have bought a brand new copy from elsewhere.
This is the kind of company i like to support better life for books and paying it forward.

I've been buying books from BWB for years, and they are the first place I go for textbooks. The books are always in better condition than stated, and you can't beat their prices. I often find them cheaper than the cost of rental elsewhere.The above is also true for regular books, too, but let's face it -- textbooks are ridiculously expensive and anywhere you can save on them is a blessing.
