Theu charge you 19.99 for some plan, but really you have to pay another 19.99 after the 1st 19.99 to ACTUALLY get a plan. A plan that is just useless junk you can easily get for free from a simple google search.
Total scam and worst app ever.

I've paid for only for the plan as it turns out- I also have a meal plan added to my costs. I wrote 6 emails with a request to cancell my subscription- all of them- with no reply! MY ID ******* for the first email. I am a student, I am not happy with the app and I don't want any money to be taken from my account. TERRIBLE APP, I DON'T RECOMMEND, ITS IS SO DIFFICULT TO CANCEL. I guess they are doing it in purpose, as I've sent my first email with the question "what is my subscription" and I immidiately got the response what my subscription is and I was supprised that I have some additional stuff. I want to cancel this and not to have to deal with this awfull app anymore!

Signed up without checking reviews like I normally do
Sign up for a trial one time payment. I used PayPal instead of my regular debt card. Thinking I could just not send any more payments if I didn't like the app. I was wrong. All of a sudden PayPal was sending recurring payments. I did not authorize recurring payments. It was supposed to be a 1 time payment.
Then I look up how to cancel the subscription
Easy it says. Go to iTunes and setting them to subscriptions snd cancel the one you don't want. It didn't show up as a subscription so I felt I was good and deleted the app. Only to look at my PayPal statements and they took out 2 more payments. Now I find I cancel it on PayPal not my iTunes. So I do. All of a sudden I'm directed to a link that takes me right to a cancel option. These options were not available on the app until I canceled recurring payments I didnt sign up for. It says they are supposed to make it very easy to see snd read they will keep stealing out of your account. They don't. Avoid this garbage at all cost

It seems I've had a similar experience to a lot of these reviews. My PayPal was charged twice ($29.99 and $25.99) and I've received nothing. I downloaded the app and entered my sign-in information but it shows no record of my purchase and every time I try to use one of the features it wants to charge me again. Ridiculous. There is absolutely zero customer service. No phone number to call, and no response to messages.

Thieves!

I do not recommend this app at all. At first, I thought it was only one-off charge. Only to find out, it is weekly payment on the receipt. I asked for a cancellation right away and they said they will look into it within a few days. I haven't heard from BetterMe since and surprisingly I was charged for the same amount the following week. I again asked for a cancellation which was responded with an apology. Apology accepted but all I want you is to cancel my subscription, thats it! This is very frustrating. You left me no choice but to leave a bad review which could have been avoided if you cancelled my subscriotion right away. I am still waiting for it to be cancelled. Please don't wait until I will be charged for the 3rd time for an app that I haven't used at all.

I am really shocked about the way you are scammed into a subscription by Better.Me without ever registering for or even being aware of it. I thought I would purchase ONE meal plan (which was actually advertised), but all I got was a charge on my PayPal account and an email telling me that I should register and download the app. So I actually got NOTHING for repeated payments, as I did never agree to nor wanted a subscription. This is not how a renowned company does its business. I will involve a lawyer, if necessary, to get the fraudulent charges refunded.

Scammer web subscription

I wrote them multiple times to cancel my subscription, because u cant cancel if You signed through web. They are giving me stupid proposals like 3 months free period and are not willing to unsuscribe. I hope bank will help me other wise i would have to deactivate my card. Greedy idiots

The advertising is very misleading and makes the users believe they are making a one time purchase, when in reality it is a weekly subscription.
Also cancelling a subscription is very difficult.

Horrible & Scam

I have asked customer support over and over for a refund. No reply or whatsoever. In a matter of not even 30 days I have been charged 80€ without even knowing. I dont recommend it.

Clickbait Money Scam
February 9, 2021

This app is a scam to take your money. They lured me in with a supposed "one-off" payment of US$9.99 for a one month challenge. Within a week they were charging $9.99 PER WEEK to my credit card. One week they even charged me twice. It's difficult to get them to stop.

They are making millions of dollars from making fake charges to credit cards, knowing most people wont follow it up. I strongly recommend everyone report them to the US Government so they can be fined. Google " Internet Crime Complaint Center" and submit your complaint. Lets get them fined for the millions they are scamming.

I have sent in 4 different emails for refunds. One email I did get answer at least to cancel my subscription. Which by the way I too didn't agree too. Now once again I got another charge, no refund and no response. Horrible customer service, very misleading, scammers. Do not give out your information to this company, or you too will fall victim to this company!

SCAM DO NOT PURCHASE

I purchased this app at the beginning of January from an ad on Instagram & it said "purchase now for 1 month or your money back guaranteed $29.99." I purchased & downloaded the app which then it asked me if I wanted to add recipes, dietary, and a trainer etc. The extra charges were $9.99 and $6.99. ((total $46.97) As the week has gone by I was getting familiar with the app & how it worked. I signed into it on the 8th day & it asks me to pay again $39.99 special offer, but I just paid $29.99 for a month? On top of this I was charged again $9.99 & $6.99 for an app that doesn't work for me anymore because I cant access the plan I have chosen. I was charged a total of $63.95 for 8 days & for what... something that has not worked for me & did not live up to the subscription. I contacted Betterme and they replied with SELLING me more... I told them I was not interested in purchasing more, I wanted a refund. They then took over a week to reply back letting me know how to unsubscribe. I've already unsubscribed and did not ask HOW to I unsubscribe but again asked for my money back. They have NOT given me my refund. They can't respond back to my email letting them know I am not interested in their products and I simply want the my money back. Betterme,,-Katherine or Emily, can you please answer your emails and refund me my money. This is ridiculous.

I have requested a cancellation of my subscription 6 times and no response. BetterMe keeps on taking money off my account every week even after I have requested to have the subscription cancelled.
This is illegal and a complete scam.
Just had another amount taken off yesterday... be very careful as once you have signed up if you have a cancellation request it's just gets ignored.
Be very very careful of this company! This is illegal what they are doing to me

Scam, Deception and lies

It is very disappointing. These guys never clarified things on first place, now charging continuously every week despite multiple emails for cancellation. Worst people to deal with. Would have given a zero if there was one
