Today 19 th I call them afer 11 min pass someone pick the phone I try to explain then he hangup the phone few min after I got email says my order canceled. Big Thanks. My best advice is STAY AWAY FROM BEST PRICE PHOTO.COM. The worse Company worse customer service so Please stay away. Thanks Philip Thomas
Ok! So I'm first going to start off by saying I personally have not ordered from this site, BUT! I know someone who has, and I'd just like to speak a little mind.
First things first (not sticking up for them in any way); They DO state it is a US warranty. Plain and simple. A US warranty, they in no way state it's the Camera manufacturers warranty. So, the complaints about that are strictly the purchasers fault.
I DO feel bad for the people that went through this site, I do. Especially the people who have experienced the credit card fraud part of it. Although, I really do think you should have vigorously looked up site feedback because those prices are... well... OUTSTANDING! BUT like they always say; "If it is too good to be true, it probably is".
It's also very easily seen that all those positive reviews on a couple of the other sites, are fake and/or bribed to be good reviews. ( One hint you can use is that if all the "good" reviews are a sentence long, then the couple "bad apples" are extremely long and packed with info, then something is wrong. Especially to say that by god those responses from the site to some of those reviews are aggressive!
Not to say that is always the case, but is something to look out for. You can also see in some of those reviews that the site uses more of a... what's the word... a time line type come back. Listing detail to what the customer did and didn't do, trying to stuff words in the customers mouth.
I can only HOPE that people find these reviews and trust them, because it will pay off big time. There is nothing wrong with grey market, as it has it's few pros and then it's few cons. The same as getting the normal priced one would be. Both involving prices and warranty.
Photography is undoubtedly one of the most expensive hobbies out there, and there really isn't an alternative to the prices of the gear, or a big one anyway. Always look for sales and wait it out a little bit. I'm looking into getting the "prosumer" Canon 7D that is about $1600 body only at most places, though seen it on sale at Henry's (Huge well known photography equipment retailer... etc) for $1299! That is HUGE drop, and was legit too. So, if your in Canada (not sure if Henrys is anywhere else, but am sure there are other country equivalents) Looks at Henry's. You are sure to come across some good savings.
Sorry for the lengthy "review" but am sure it will help some people deciding on weather or not to shop there.
Be Careful - I ordered a Fujifilm x10 which was advertised as new with USA warranty. Instead, I received what I suspect is a gray market camera - no warranty, European style plug on charger, and a Spanish operations manual.
When I asked for verification that the camera was for US market - no response!
I suspect this place is running some scam operation and intend to report them to consumer protection authorities.
DO NOT BUY FROM BEST PRICE PHOTO. PLACE IS A SCAM. I ordered a Nikon camera and I DID NOT get a WARRANTY CARD for it, one week after camera had a Defect in Lenses. Sent camera back, and it took two months to refund me the credit card and BPP charged me $101. For returning camera. IF YOU WANT TO LOOSE MONEY and get RIPPED OFF, buy from them.
Price was great; shipping was slightly slower than I'd hoped - - for some reason, I had to call to verify my order. But the product was as described, including a standard battery, but the agent did try to upsell at the confirmation call.
Overall, I'd recommend.
Scam! This is how the scam works: first, you order from their site and find an exceptionally good deal; next, they call you to confirm your order and explain some reason why you need to pay more for the product you thought you were getting.
I ordered a Canon 7D and a 17-55 mm lens online and paid for next day delivery. I needed the camera for a trip in 7 days! Two days later I received a call from them saying sorry their American Express machine was not working and I need to give them another credit card, so I did. While on the phone I asked them to confirm that the camera was US legal. They said no but for $200 more I could get the US camera. Being into the order and really needing the camera I said I would pay the extra for the US camera. Two more days pass and still no camera. Calling again they promised the order was going out that day. One Friday seven days after making the next day delivery order I received the camera body but no lens. I have returned the body and purchased the camera and lens from a local store and am hoping that I will get a credit back on my card.
Ordered 2k worth of gear and two weeks still no merchandise. Customer service is horrible! Said it woul arrive next day. Didn't even ship until days later
I found this website from bizrate. The prcice is competative. But have a hard time to get the approval of the credit card. Use the camera for last 2 weeks. So far so good.
Great customer service, truly best price, great camcorder.
Good website and excellent prices on USA warranty products.
Placed order on line 4/21, credit card charged on 4/25, camera delivered on 4/28 by FEDEX at no charge...
Would definitely buy from them again in the future.
Wow a little scared to say anything... i just purchased a lens and i am satisfied with the customer service, shipping and the lens... looking forward to using it for the upcoming airshow, pictures of my fav band stone mojo, my upcoming trip to michigan and the many future pics of my dogs!
Great price for Canon sx40. Fast delivery, I placed the order on April 24th and delivered on the 26th morning by FedEx great service!
Great experience. They were very helpful and understanding when verifying our order since we live out in the middle of no where. Once that was completed, the FedEx personnel were very accommodating in getting our order to us. Since then I have used 12 Gig of pictures on movies on a 16 GB chip, 2 of the house, 4 of the family and the rest are of Robbie, my grandson. He loves getting his picture taken. Frist word out from him I swear was CHEESE! Great Camera
I ordered a Sony HDR-CX580v camcorder from this site on 3/29/12 and get a confirmation the same day saying that it would take 24-72 hours to process. I called on 4/3 after not having heard from then. The service person answered my called was very nice and told me that they do not open on Sat (or may be Sunday, not sure?), and promised to ship it that day. The camcorder arrived on 4/9 via FedEx. The price is great and the shipping is free.

What a bunch of crooks. First, unlike what they claim on this site, they absolutely DO charge your credit card right away. Then you get the the "Sent Out To Be Drop Shipped" nonsense which really means they will give you some crap excuse that it is "backordered". Many phone calls and lies later, you end up being nothing but frustrated. My second to last call was "it's being packaged and shipped out overnight. You'll get the tracking number by end of day". End of day comes - no tracking number. Follow-up phone call I am fed another line of garbage "vendor didn't have enough so they have cancelled your order". Really? How the heck did that happen in less than 24 hours with no notification or anything else? Meanwhile, I have wasted three weeks with these crooks. Do NOT order from them and ignore the bogus positive reviews on this site.
Feel regret to my order in this fking site. I wish i could see these reviews before i decide to buy D5100 from bestpricephoto.com. Totally waste your time and/or money(lucky thing is that i ask my cc to withhold payment). They use a trick in that way: first, they post a unbelievable price on this site and attract you to make an online order. So far so good until you receive a phonecall from a sale rep "Mike". Then he request me to confirm the order and give me a lot of recommendation kits which i completely don't want. After i refuse to his recommendations and insist to pay the amount which they listed online, he cancel my order without my agreement and hang up the phone! WTF! I guess he won't confirm my order unless i accept his recommendation kits. I realize that might be a fraud, and i contact my cc immediately. Fortunately, the payment is not charged yet. I pay extra 50 bucks and get another one from Newegg.
SO, A TRUTH: YOU GET WHAT YOU PAID. The sale rep talks in a very fast speak speed on purpose, and DO NOT SAY ANYTHING UNLESS YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU'RE HEARING!
AGAING, BE AWARE THE REVIEWS IN resellerratings.com THEY LOOK LIKE A KIND OF FRAUD. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE!
Very shady business practices. Ordered Canon SLR camera body only. Received Confirmation that order was placed. Followed link to track order. Site states "order shipped' but no tracking number given (Strike one). Called customer service twice. Waited for cust service rep for 20 minutes x 2 occasions but no answer (Strike two). Received call from sales person 3 days later, stating item to be shipped by Fed Ex tomorrow. Sounded good but... then asked if I would I also like to "upgrade" to USA kit? The web site does not indicate the camera is an international camera (grey-market) unless you go the very bottom of the webpage (past a pageful of advertisements for other accessories and cameras), you then have to click on "Specifications" tab. Then in light grey, small print it states "Import Model". Strike three. Cancelled my order. Not comfortable with dealing with these shady people. Was told my cc was not charged and I would receive email confirmation of cancellation. Have not received cancellation notice as of yet. I called my cc company, no charges yet posted but the fraud protection department will be on the look out for any charges from this company. Buyer beware!
First off... if i could i would give them -5 stars.
I looked at some reviews from other sites and saw that it looked pretty good on the surface. So i decided to use this site. Ordering online was easy, it was in stock and i got extra goodies. I ordered on cyber monday so the price being so low made sense. A week later i get an email saying i have to call them to confirm, so i do it. He tries selling me extra stuff (even though i'm getting a tripod, case, cleaning kit, screen protector, fiber cloth and a memory card wallet for a cyber monday gift). I say no. Order confirmed. So i wait 3-5 business days... 2-3 weeks... i then decide to call that same person back... 3 different times and never an answer. Then i email customer service in the beginning of january and get a response that same day. "the order is out of stock, we expect to have it in 2-3 weeks". So i figure its a good deal so i'll wait. Middle of january i email to see the status. "order is not available to ship" so i check the website and it is in stock online. I send two emails after that with no response. One at the end of january and one in the first week of february. Finally i called today... its been 3 months now, "your order was cancelled a long time ago" what the hell? "on january 3 you were sent a confirmation email stating it was cancelled" the only email i was sent was responding to why i didnt have it yet, back order. A few more words exchanged, me being patient but firm because i'm trying not to be rude... and then he says... "well what do you want me to do about it. We don't have anymore and we won't get anymore. Nothing was charged to your account." then he hung up. I would have thrown my phone because i was so pissed. But i don't want to replace it. If you ever see this site with good reviews, know that it is 99.9% fake.
Thats my 2 cents. Thanks for reading if you read this.
WARNING! BestPricePhoto are a LIARS. I bought a canon camera, and they sent me 2 batteries also that I didn't ask them, the cost $400 for the batteries. I want return them and they say "no problem, but you'll pay $300 cost of returning. Don't buy there.
