I think bestbuy's site is very good. You get all the stuff in the stores and much more. Price's are competitive and the service is great. I bought a laptop once and a week later they had a sale 200$ off the same laptop. I went in tho the store and they gave me the 200$ back. Cash. I was very impressed.
If I could rate this as 0 stars, I would. WORST customer service EVER. All we needed was a print out of a receipt, as we bought the laptop on line, big mistake.
Samsung kindly offered us a 1 time fix, even though the wty had expired, but do you think Best Buy would help us out and just print and email us the receipt?
NO, I called many times, each time I either got cut off or left on hold! SUPER frustrating. Finally gave up, absolutely do NOT shop on their on line site, or in the store anymore. My $$ will be spent anywhere else!

I love my wall speakers. I am so glad I finally replace the old one I had and it looks so great in my hall. Most of all I can put stuff in and set the timer and don’t have to worry when will it be done nor do I need to check it every minute. Thanks Best Buy PCS.
I can't believe there are negative comments about Best Buy. Im a customer for over 2 years now and honestly its the best online store I have ever encountered. Prompt service and assistance made me going back to this site.
Best Buy has good electronics and some good deals but it pales next to visiting the store in person. Physically, you will be able to find better deals like on products which were floor models or returned. The prices are competitive to Amazon these days so it's worth checking out for the technophile.
Use to be one of my favorite places to purchase electronics etc. I purchased a laptop there and also bought the extended warranty. The lap top stopped working and i had to bring it to them 3 times. Each time they attempted to fix something else. In the end they said it was the motherboard. At this point the warranty was nearly up and they wanted to attempt to fix it a 4th time. I told them this is crazy since the time I bought the laptop I have been going back and forth to geek squad and each time I got it back it was scratched up more and more. In the end my warranty was up and they would not do anything about the crappy laptop. I ended buying a new one else where. DO NOT TRUST THEIR WARRANTY on laptops. I am much happier with Tiger Direct.

Amazing experience today unexpectedly finding a Surface 2 Type Keyboard in stock in a store nearby. I made my purchase online and received a notification that my order was available for pick-up within an hour of placing my order.
Not impressed with the customer service when I needed a question answered....I just gave up and drove to store, even then customer service was not great...

I was looking for a affordable laptop, so I tried bestbuy.com WOW! What a great experience I ordered the laptop online and picked it up at my local BEST BUY! Great service all around!
I love that i can finance stuff on my best buy card interest free! We were able to get things for our new home when we were really tight on cash, and pay it off easily later!
Beware that if you order through BESTBUY.com, the products may be sold by third parties. It is a HUGE hassle to return or exchange anything you order online. I made one order (total of 8 items) and realized some were not what I expected. I need to return 4 items, but have to contact 4 different sellers to take care of it. What a waste of time?! I also have to pay to ship them back too! I'm furious that the store will not take back items sold on THEIR website.
TERRIBLE return policy! Only 15 days to return/exchange then too bad if you don't like the product. I purchased a $200 Sony CX220 video camera, got too busy to down load in 15 days (!) and when I did download, I didn't like the quality and the time it took to create a DVD. Their trade in "option" offered a $16 (!) trade in value that I would have to mail in the item, wait weeks, and they would mail me a gift card to their store! I will NOT purchase at Best Buy again. Terrible customer service, terrible policies.

Bestbuy is good website and there are some great deals every Sunday. The deal is even better if you can buy and pay No US Sales Tax. Please check return policy/warranty carefully. Any defective products, you can return or exchange by due date, if is pass the warranty date, it can be very difficult. Customer service can be helpful if you are lucky to deal with good customer service, it can be difficult, if you can deal with the bad one. Overall is positive experience most of time.
It is very good place to buy electronic stuff. Some time, price is cheaper than amazon (include tax). Also support paypal, we don't have to restore our payment information agan.
However, Bestbuy has some issue such as slower restore hut selling product, it will reduce customer's interise on product and website, customer able to buy same product at amazon with 3 more clicks and similar price, if that item which is they wanted is out of stock,.

Answer: All I can say is that you obviously have been very lucky. I was a dedicated customer for 25 years, however, I would do without before I ever spent another dime in a Best Buy!
Answer: I would write a letter to your state's attorney general. There are laws regarding taking advantage of senior citizens. I would specifically ask for documentation from Best Buy in which your grandmother gave them permission to recycle her 18 month old computer. If they cannot produce that document they may be in very big trouble with the state's attorney general. I would also write the BBB and contact your public officials. This I think would be paramount to theft if your grandmother did not give them permission to recycle her computer. On the flip side of things, ASUS is a very good machine. My son is a computer scientist and swears by ASUS. I have three ASUS machines one of which is over 5 years old and it is a workhorse. Unless something significant happens in the ASUS business world, I will continue to buy ASUS!
