The company's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding installation services, product returns, and customer support. Many reviews highlight issues with rushed installations and poor communication, leading to repeated service calls. Customers frequently encounter difficulties with returns and refunds, often citing long wait times and inadequate support from customer service representatives. While the company offers a wide selection of products and some positive experiences with online orders, the overarching sentiment suggests a need for substantial improvements in service reliability and customer care to enhance overall customer satisfaction.

Good for cheap buys when they are on sale but bad customer service.
BUYER BEWARE. BEST BUY IS DISHONEST. I PURCHASED A Samsung - 25.5 Cu. Ft. French Door Refrigerator AND RECEIVED IT ON 12/05/14.
WHEN IT WAS UNWRAPPED BY THE DELIVERY PERSON IT WAS DAMAGED (NOT BUY THE DELIVERY PERSON). I WAS GIVEN THE OPTION OF SENDING BACK AND GETTING ANOTHER OR RECEIVING A $250.00 CREDIT. I ACCEPTED THE $250 CREDIT. I CALLED THEM ON 12/1914, INQUIRING ABOUT THE CREDIT. I WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE SENT OUT ON 12/19/14. TODAY, 01/03/15, I PLACED ANOTHER FOLLOW UP CALL ON THE CREDIT. I WAS INFORMED BY A SUPERVISOR CARLY THE CREDIT HAS NOT BEEN PROCESSED AND WOULD NOT BE PROCESSED AT THE AGREED AMOUNT. THEY OFFERED ME A $150 CREDIT. I INFORMED THEM I WOULD HAVE NEVER AGREED TO THESE TERMS ON 12/05/14. I ALSO ASKED THEM IF THEY WERE SURE THEY WANTED TO TREAT A LONG TERM CUSTOMER IN THIS MANNER AND IF THEY DID I WOULD NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER ITEM FROM BEST BUY. THE SUPERVISOR CARLY INFORMED ME THEY WERE SORRY BUT WOULD NOT BE ISSUING THE $250 THAT WAS AGREED TO. DUE TO THE FACT BEST BUY LIED TO ME I WILL NO LONGER DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THEM.
I have not got my psp yet, i called, they only told me that because of bad weather, delivery was slow. Meeeeeeeeeeeeeh
I purchased some items online from Best Buy during Black Friday. On Dec 7 they canceled my purchase. After spending 93 minutes on the phone with them they said the package was damaged at their wearhouse and they wouldn't delivery it to me. I am okay with that, who wants damaged products? But they also would not send me replacements (they are still available) at the Black Friday prices. Terrible results. Bait and switch or disceptive sales practices, either way who wants to do business with these people? They should honor their agreement to sale me what they said they would for the price they agreed upon
Placed an order on Saturday 11/29, order arrived at house on Tuesday 12/02
Regular mail. Great service, order from them all the time. Never an issue.
The one in downtown Dallas is awesome- the people there are always so willing to help you, and you don't feel like you are getting ripped off.
I buy photographic accessories from them. Always good and knowledgable staff plus you know what you're getting. Not the least expensive but okay if you have to buy local and you don't have the time to wait for something to come from online. I recommend them.
I was always a big fan of Best Buy. You can get some good deals, but you can also pay out of the butt for somethings. Recently, there's been a bunch of things being released for the holidays. Their website specified a max number of units on several of the items I was interested in. I have kids of my own and a few nieces and nephews I wanted to buy for. I purchased the max allowable on I believe 2 items. Order went through fine, but then I got an email stating my order had been cancelled due to quantity restrictions. Why list an amount on the site if you're just going to change it on a whim? I couldn't even place a new order for a lesser amount because they were on back order. Really frustrating and really disappointing. I'll go give amazon my business.
In store pickup is a joke. It would have been way faster to simply walk in and pick up item off of the shelf as opposed to ordering online and waiting in the 1 line for pickup@ customer service (where everyone is returning items and and yelling)
I recently purchased a couple things for my iPhone through Best Buy - I realize I could have just driven a few miles there but there's never a guarantee that the story will carry what I need. These devices will replace the current gear, and bring a whole lot of new and awesome features that your wrist will surely want. The best buy is very quality and some offers to customers. So i like the best buy service.
When I needed a new cellphone, I looked at the offerings at Best Buy. I am forced to use Verizon for my rural location. BestBuy had a lower price than the Verizon store and a better warrantee than Verizon!
I love best buy. I buy all of my electronics there any even though I don't get the extended warranty (I get mine from esurranty.com), they are always the lowest priced. The employee's are always helpful and it is just a great store.
This company was horrible. They charged me a TON of money to diagnose my computer and after the diagnosis, they called me back to charge more and stated it would be 4-6 weeks to complete the repair.
Glad I took it to another local company who fixed it in two days and charged less than a third of what I was quoted.
I am thankful for having options!
One of my favorite sites! Best prices and perfect customer support.
The BESTBUY store in the Queens Elmhurst, N. Y. mall queens blvd.
Their is one associate in particuliar whom is extreamly rude "kemp" in the pick-up dept.
I went to pick up an item which I ordered and paid for online and entered the store and was polightly advised where to go, I went and stood on line of which their were 3 and "KEMP" walked over and said out loud "you peopl are all over the place, not making eye contact. I voiced it is this department that is all over the place, do you realy need 3 people standing at one register to help one person?
Needless to say, I was first online picked up my order and left, but not after taking his name. I had been their once before making two trips to see the GEEK SQUAD with my laptop only to be told. UHM, I don't know what the problem is but I can look inside for $125.00 but don't guarentee anything.
OKAY, I picked up my lap-top and went elsewhere.
I'll never go to that particuliar store again.
Sometimes they have the best deals on computer and electronics, gotta be online all the time to see what are they going to list on sale. I bought my 2GB Ram, 500 GB hard drive, intel processor for only $250.00 + taxes,
I spend a lot of time on the road and this makes shopping for hardware a pain. I've been let down by the promised delivery times on the Best Buy website several times. The selection is great, and the prices are OK (I don't mind paying more for the convenience of "everything under one roof"), but I'm only willing to use Best Buy for the collect at store option now.
Even then, I've had a few issues with my order "going missing", but usually the staff are helpful enough with this.
I like that you can pay online and pick up in store. The prices are somewhat competitive and you have to do a lot of research to know what you are really getting for a laptop or computer for the price since they offer many "package deals". I tend to only buy items I know a lot about from this site. The warranty options are great and I've had a problem with using their warranties. I also like the membership points option.
I go to Best Buy for much of my mid level electronic purchases. I am upgrading the Stereo System in my Supra Boat this spring. Supra uses Kenwood so I wanted a new Kenwood Stereo deck that had amp outputs and Sirius radio. It had to be a marine version so I had to buy online. Best Buy had the best price for the marine grade version. Looking forward to blasting the tunes on the lake this summer.
Answer: I am sure there is a catch-like a 2 year contract. No one gives you a phone for $1
Answer: All I can say is that you obviously have been very lucky. I was a dedicated customer for 25 years, however, I would do without before I ever spent another dime in a Best Buy!
Answer: I would write a letter to your state's attorney general. There are laws regarding taking advantage of senior citizens. I would specifically ask for documentation from Best Buy in which your grandmother gave them permission to recycle her 18 month old computer. If they cannot produce that document they may be in very big trouble with the state's attorney general. I would also write the BBB and contact your public officials. This I think would be paramount to theft if your grandmother did not give them permission to recycle her computer. On the flip side of things, ASUS is a very good machine. My son is a computer scientist and swears by ASUS. I have three ASUS machines one of which is over 5 years old and it is a workhorse. Unless something significant happens in the ASUS business world, I will continue to buy ASUS!
Answer: Great question. Let us know if you were able to get reimbursed.
Answer: I chose Best Buy tech support because they seemed to offer a good deal on support and I bought my products there. I'll go elsewhere now.
