Avoid open box and refurbished products especially when handled by PRO OP they have a habit of sending defective products that have been returned back out to customers, these products are listed on Best Buys site but they take zero responsibility. Ordered a ASUS monitor arrived plugged it in blackline down center of screen as obvious pre existing defect but sent out anyway obviously not checked which they are supposed to do.

Was quite annoyed before but finally got manager on phone
And he was able to find my HP Pavillion that was in for repair and had gotten redirected
To the wrong place, he brought it over personally and with a worker had it
Set up, very nice, happy with them now, sorry Best Buy.

This is the second time I face problem while purchasing
I have used the gift cards of 100$ while they deduct from my credit card 41.99$ without any reason for that
My purchasing was 100.45$
Second time I used gift cards and was 100$ my purchasing was 278$ and they deduct 278$ total.
More than one month until they refund the amount to the gift card.

Poor online service,

Tried to order printer on line. Operator didn't know how to add the two year guarantee or warranty option. Was on hold until I finally hung up. Do not use online feature go to the store.

Took my computer in yesterday - thought it was a fried motherboard from a electrical brownout. It had power coming in but black screen. I needed it fixed right away for an emergency Zoom meeting the next day! Matthew had it diagnosed, booted up, and fully repaired in a short while! His knowledge and expertise blew me away! He was very polite as well.
If I could give him 6 Stars, I would! I recommend Best Buy Geek Squad for any computer problems!

If you are putting your name on something stand by it. Best buy and its affiliates ( if you can even call them that) are just as bad as amazon. Liars! And Cheats! False advertising and the best advice you can get in store is " oh, you bought off market place. Booo, yah I tell people buyer beware." I would pay three times as much at a company that stood by their product and looked after their customers. This company clearly cares more about making a few dollars by $#*!ing around people than being honest. I wouldn't buy from best buy in store or otherwise anymore if someone paid me. #justanotherboycott

Delivery people showed up 2 hours after 4 hour window only to refuse delivery because of stairs/could not locate building/could not get into driveway...you name it. They were also unbelievably rude. He kept yelling incoherently at me on the phone and got mad because I could not understand him. When I called customer service, I was put on hold then the line was disconnected. I had to call back as they did not try to call me back. I was told I could not speak to a manager that the situation would be escalated. No guarantee on speedy delivery reschedule.
I live in downtown Toronto where emery residence practically has stairs, a one way narrow street etc.
I now have to wait the weekend in a heat wave to get a new fridge delivered.
NEVER AGAIN. DO NOT USE BEST BUY ONLINE.

Warning: Do not trust Best Buy sales team, go purchase your electronics somewhere else. The company does not take responsibility for misinforming the customer about the product and does not have a proper customer complaint department, so you will get nowhere if you have been misinformed at point of sale.

I purchased a laptop computer at my local Best Buy - 167 North Queen St., Etobicoke ON.
The sales representative offered me a 4 year full insurance to purchase with the laptop - at the cost of $400 (half the price of the laptop itself). I refused, however the rep went into the sales pitch that the cost seems high but it is worth it, since I am "buying a peace of mind and know that I would not need to pay a dollar more on this laptop in the next 4 years, no matter what happens". Since I had a lot on my plate, that actually sounded good to know that I will have no more laptop expenses in 4 years. I asked about exceptions to what is covered, specifically asked about physical damage and I was assured that "no exceptions, this is a comprehensive warranty that covers you no matter what", " even if a car runs over it, you can bring it and we will try to fix it, and if we can't fix it, we will give you a new one". So I purchased it. I asked for insurance documents to take with me and the sales representative insured me that "no documents are needed, all is in our system and all you need to keep a copy of the receipt".

A year and a half later I have dropped my laptop. I came back to the store to learn that "your insurance does not cover physical damage". The cost of repair is $760 (also laptop was repaired without my approval before I had a chance to get a quote anywhere else). They offered "a partial help with the repair cost" as an "exception" for me. Somehow, this does not feel like a good deal or an exception.

I asked about customer complaint department and I have learnt that the company does not have a proper customer complaint department - only customer service phone line that loops the complaint back to the store I am complaining about.

I will not shop at Best Buy again (they lost me as a customer). I will share this experience and suggest to my friends and family not to shop there, and I hope this review can serve as a warning to others against shopping at Best Buy.

I bought a chair online and they billed my credit card three times for it, busted my credit limit by the same time which ends up making me pay fees. They say its normal but its not. No other company ever does this. This is definitely an illegal practice. I will never shop at Best Buy ever again.

Bought an Apple TV of Best Buy marketplace. Didn't have the ethernet connection I needed and can't return it. Terrible customer service. Another reason to just use Amazon. Best Buy just keeps giving me the run around. Shop elsewhere in my opinion.

Bought an iPad from one of the best buys in Whitby, 3 months later half of the screen went black, and it was such a hassle to claim the protection plan, was given different stories by their staff, had to keep going back and forth, such a nightmare. NEVER again for me.

After best buy delivered and installed a dishwasher the basement was flooded because of bad install. Best buy not only refused to even listen to what happened they also refused to cover cover any costs. The order was a nightmare from ordering, through delivery to installation. Buying from best buy costs me a few thousands, put stress on my family and on myself. I finally won't go legal because I just never want to hear from these people in my life anymore….

THIS IS A LIE. Ordered something online for a road trip, got delayed. Contacted support - they "personally guaranteed" it will arrive within 24hr to 48hr. So I paid to alter my hotels. DIDN'T ARRIVE, 3 more days have passed. Every day it updates to say delivery tomorrow. I asked Best Buy if I could add delivery instructions instead. They said yes of course just call Canada post. I did, after an hour finally got to a real operation who told me Best Buy wouldn't allow it.

So I have delayed my trip, sat at home for 7 extra days now and the tracking now says DELAYED.

So at this point I'm fed up. I contact support to cancel my order. At least give me my money back so I can take my business elsewhere. Apparently I can cancel/hold the order but I have to contact them again after 2 days to get a refund? WTF

I have screenshots of all of this, couldn't have made this up even if I tried. DON'T BUY FROM BEST BUY ONLINE, THEY JUST LIE TO YOU.

I rarely do reviews but after spending over a week on the phone with Best Buy, trying to resolve an issue, with no resolution yet, I decided to write a review. I've placed an order for a 60 inch fridge and 48 inch stove through best buy market place, best buy has rejected payment approximately 5 times so far. I spent a week on the phone asking what the issue is and they constantly say it's a billing information error. I've placed an order for my entire new construction home through my PayPal and Visa and haven't had 1 issue. I've asked every single customer service rep to speak with a manager, they all try to discourage me from it and never put me through. I've tried 2 different credit cards now and PayPal and same problem every time, then they cancel and don't bother to send me any type of notification so I am constantly sitting on the phone with Best Buy checking in on my order. Ive even tried my mom's credit card to confirm it wasn't an error with my personal card. Don't bother placing orders with them

Just tried to buy a laptop, their system cancelled my orders four times, initially I thought it was because of my credit card company, tried again after matching all the details to the period and upper/lower case, still failed. Then tried another credit card, still cancelled by bestbuy, then tried paypal, still cancelled! There was one time I called bestbuy to make sure all was entered correctly, that one was also cancelled. I'm giving up buying anything from bestbuy!

If I could have given them zero stars I would have. Worst everything
Worst customer service I've ever experienced
A purchase that was supposed to be a happy experience has turned into a total disaster
If you can buy your product somewhere else I highly recommend spending your hard earning money elsewhere.
Shame on them for wasting customers valuable time and wasting our money paying for customer service that is nothing more than dead ends

I've spent $2000.00 the past two months at Best Buy and I wanted to cancel my membership the other day because I haven't needed it and changed my mind. Tried to cancel in-store and was given a phone number. After calling ten times and trying every option available, I finally just called the number online and after a few more tries got a HUMAN BEING on the phone and told her what I wanted. She forwarded me to another person who I could barely understand (thick accent, no offence) and he finally informed me that I can cancel my membership, but I still have to pay for the full year. I would have never signed up, had I known this. I listened carefully when I signed up, and was never told I was in it for a year. I was told I can cancel any time (which is technically true but pretty dirty) I'm disgusted, and can't believe after all the business I've given best buy, they won't let me out of the membership. Ridiculous. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THEIR MEMBERSHIP. I am never going there again for anything. Date is approximate.

Thieves - BestBuy CA

Last year Insignia air fryers that threaten the safety of your family and mine, were recalled. I returned mine in the recall. This process started last March. In May after waiting seemingly endlessly for them to do something I finally sent my Air Fryer back via their prescribed UPS service. May 13,2022. To this day I have not received the refund or even decent communications from these inept people. January 2023. Taking the Air Fryer and keeping the money means that BestBuy.ca is little more than a thief. I had other things I wanted to buy from this company, and have bought many things from them in the past.

I have stopped buying anything from them ever since March of 2022. Well done, BestBuy, well done. Lots of companies selling electronics and consumer goods and I tell everyone whoever talks about buying something from yourselves.
