Have ordered many times years ago it was always good wow have they gone downhill my berries came spoiled with brown stems on top instead of green stay away until they get their stuff together will be seeking a full refund will report back and let everyone know how that goes
Worst online shopping experience I've had. They offered a 20% discount and I used it. My price was supposed to be around $55 or so and when I went to confirm my order I saw they added a shipping and delivery 90.00!
Tried to place 2 orders tonight to go to my kids at college. They couldn't verify the addresses as they had dorm halls associated with them and only could verify the shipping to the colleges. As you most know when you send something to your child that is not tracked, the chances of it being received is slim to none. I choose not to use Shari's Berries as they could not verify the address that I put in. Even though they said they would gaurantee the delivery, I could not believe them or take the chance. I believe their gaurantee was to the college. They were not willing to gaurantee it to the recipient. So disappointing! Check your address database and don't fill it up with your previous deliveries.
THE worst online shopping experience I've had. They expected me to pay for a bunch of hidden fees. They offered a 20% discount and I used it. My price was supposed to be around $25 or so and when I went to confirm my order I saw they added a shipping and delivery guarantee fee. Which brought my overall price to over $50. I felt very mislead and I will not be purchasing anything from this company again. Very displeased with my experience and I would not recommend this company to any friends or family... maybe an enemy.
Having customer service in India is doing this company no justice. "Wilber" tells me that they have a special 48 berries for $49.98. But I need 60 I said and he proceeded to tell me that would be $209.00! WTF? Called back and was on hold for what was... no exaggeration... 22 minutes for the girl to come back and tell me I could get two dozen for "0.97 cents and 69 dollars". Can't fix stupid. I hung up and ordered from "On The Vine *******463 in Exeter NH. They are local, they speak English, the produce is fresh and I am guaranteed delivery. Nothing good to say about Shari's Berries. Horrible customer service, I can only imagine what the product is like. If there was a way of deducting stars I would.

I HAVE TRIED SO HARD TO RE CONSIDER THIS COMPANY, AND AFTER SPENDING HOURS TO TRY TO GET MY ELDERLY ITALIAN MOM, A GIFT STATED AT 74.00 WITH 25%, IT LITERALLY COST 24.OO TO SEND AS SHE IS RURAL BUT i WAS STILL OK AS I CAN NOT BRING IT TO HER, AND THEY DID NOT GIVE ME THE 25% OFF. I AM AT WORK TRYING TO TALK TO 3 DIFFERENT PEOPLE, AND SEND 4 EMAILS AND THEY JUST SEND BACK ANOTHER COUPON. IT IS MADDENING. ALSO THE STRAWBERRIES I SENT FOR HOLIDAYS WERENT THAT GOOD SO I AM TRYING THIS ITALIAN BASKET. I AM SO SO STRESSED, THAT 3 DIFFERENT PEOPLE COULD NOT HELP ME ON THE PHONE AND KEPT TELLING ME I WASNT ADDING RIGHT AND EXPLAINING WHY THE SHIPMENT FEE WAS HIGHER OVER AND OVER. I AM ONE TO NOT WRITE REVIEWS AND I AM SO INFURIATED I HAD TO SAVE OTHERS FROM WASTING THEIR TIME AND MONEY
They suck you in with what sounds like a great price and then by the time they add rediculous shipping handling and delivery guarantees the price is better than double then you call and talk to them and not one of them speaks English Or understands English properly They'll send you email after email saying they're sorry they are sorry but when comes down to the people that work there they are very very ignorant at least the ones that answer the phone I will never order from them
I ordered some strawberries for my mother-in-laws birthday which were never delivered. I called and they said I cancelled the order which was not the case. I received an email with a confirmation order but somehow they cancelled the order after I received then email. Completely ruined our surprise for her birthday. So disappointed and customer service was unhelpful. Basically just said sorry. Will never use this company again and will certainly tell family and friends that they cannot trust this company.
I paid $35 for an order and was charged $38 for shipping! I had to pay $17 for shipping then $5 for Valentine Day delivery then $16 more for before noon delivery because they will not guarantee a before 5 PM delivery to a business! They would be better off (psychologically) just charging me $60 and free shipping but they know nobody would pay that much for a dozen chocolate covered strawberries and a couple of pretzels! I feel like an idiot getting this but my wife wanted it from seeing on TV so I did it anyway...
I can never establish an account online. It always tells me it never heard of me. It always tells me my mother's address doesn't exist although Shari's has delivered there several times. Customer service can't hear and doesn't speak English. The delivery charges cost more than the berries.
Ordered a dozen strawberries, brownie pops, and cake truffles, all of which were terrible. The berries weren't ripe and were covered in plastic tasting chocolate, the brownie pops were straight up terrible, it doesn't really deserve to be called a brownie if it's just a solid ball of sweet that doesn't actually taste anything like chocolate, the cake truffles were also bad, they were cheap tasting. I spent over $100 and I could have made all of it better myself... and I suck at baking. Don't bother getting these, they really are a waste of money.
First of all the customer service rep is very difficult to understand. Next I wanted to change the delivery address on my order which had not shipped yet and was told because I used PayPal they couldn't change the ship to address. So I had to cancel the order. Then when I tried to place the order over the phone with the Rep she couldn't place the new order using PayPal. REALLY? They also refused the coupon I used on the old order for the new order.
I wanted to send a gift to my Father for the holidays. The site offered a "special" for delivery. So, I chose it. But it really was that they charged me twice for the delivery fee- which showed up in detail AFTER I paid... and a box of cookies to my Dad would cost $70! I cancelled the transaction in PayPal AND wrote to the vendor. But no response... they took my $70 anyway. They sent me an email to see if my delivery went well. I expressed my concerns and checked the box for someone to contact me. Never got a response... just lots more ads wanting me to buy more. No. I feel shocked that no one from there has even bothered to communicate. Will not use them or recommend them to anyone!
My grandfather was kind enough to send me a dozen chocolate covered strawberries. Upon biting into one of them I realized quickly that the fruit inside was on the verge of being completely spoiled. I called sherries berries and they happily sent me another dozen which were actually worse. I obviously never told my grandfather because of his kind gesture to send me these but I would not recommend using this company. Their berries are rotten
For my birthday I always receive a box of chocolate covered strawberries from my best friend. In the last 2 years the strawberries have been less than half the size they display on their advertisements and spoiled. You open the top and you can immediately smell the fermentation of the strawberries (see images). I bit on several ones hoping that it was only one spoiled but all of them were the same. So, them instead of tossing bad strawberries they covered them with their chocolate expecting that no one's going to notice... that's bad business, especially working with food! I complained to them and they sent me a replacement and they were the same, the fermented smell was horrible so I tossed them (see last image). I know what a fresh' strawberry taste like and they're trying to fool us all and stealing the senders' money. I'm sure that like me many felt embarrassed to contact their friends to explain why they had to toss their strawberries. When I contacted them the second time, I demanded that the moneys be refunded to the sender but instead they kept pushing me to get a box of candy, etc. I told them I didn't want anything else from them. I'm amazed they haven't gone out of business with all the complaints and the horrible images I see on the Internet of what people receive! Shape up, or you'll be in unemployment line soon!
I have used Shari's berries twice, as a gift for my wife. The first time I ordered I got sticker shock from the shipping, but I ordered anyways. I was very pleased with what my wife got and she was delighted with the tasty berries. The reason for the high shipping is how they got shipped. To keep them cool and fresh, extra effort was needed and they did a great job. The berries looked amazing and my wife said they were the sweetest she had ever had. I know it's just strawberries but they are worth the little bit of time to order for someone special. They will be enjoyed.
I went to the website to order a gift. They had a sitewide 20% discount. Also, when I was checking out, there was free shipping if I had it delivered after a certain date. When I checked out and received the summary, there was NO discount and shipping was and additional $16.99! Clearly, they were depending on me not noticing. When I contacted customer service, he offered to provide one discount or the other, but not both. He stated they can not offer more than one discount at a time. But that WAS NOT the way it was presented in any way on their own site! This is a deceptive company!
So I got taken in again. Needed to send a nice fresh gift package to a friend and total order was $63 final checkout was $122! Why? They pile on extra shipping. I chose standard shipping on $15 another $17 plus and additional $4.99 x2 (one for each order) for so called overnight delivery for places with hot weather. Which I didn't ask for, which you can not elect out of. I do not know why customers are charged shipping prices for each selected product even if they are going to a single address. I got on teh phone with Sheri's Berries and they sold me a sells pitch and routed me to a coupon site to get additional discount. Basically that doesn't work, you have to clear the cart and start over. I did that for each coupon offer to see which at the end would be cheaper. Basically, it all comes down to the same value unless you downgrade your products. I am so upset. This is not quality, this is a rip off!
This review isn't about the berries themselves but about how this company price gouges customers based on the coupon they apply to their order. I tested this by using a regular browser and an incognito browser. I thought that I would save money by purchasing a $15 voucher for $30 Groupon gift code for the berries but indeed I did NOT. I first tested it by only adding a dz strawberries to see the price and shipping. The shipping was $12.99 plus $4.99 for "Hot Weather delivery". Which by the way, its winter where I live and I have never heard of this fee before when my fiance has used this company. $18 for shipping is outrageous! So then I tried incognito browser with my groupon and the shipping changed to $14.99 plus $4.99 hot weather shipping fee. So no matter which was you try to save they will adjust the shipping fee's to compensate. I called SB customer service and they offered me a $4 discount and couldn't explain why their site adjusts prices. I will never order from this company again and I will make sure my friends know about this. $40 for 12 strawberries is what I just paid. Never again.
I ordered a dozen strawberries for Christmas, 2018 and when they arrived ( a day earlier than requested) the strawberries were super small, were of poor quality, and the chocolate was broken off the strawberries so I could not serve them to my guests. This transaction cost me $65.00 and when I complained I received an email that they were sorry and would give me 30% off a future order. What?! You should have refunded me 30% off my FAILED order, not expect me to buy more from you. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PRODUCTS! Save yourself the expense and buy something else to serve. I could have done a better job making them myself.
Answer: Because they f@ckimg suck, that's why. Once they get your money, piss off. They charged me 4 times for my order and never responded to any of my emails.
