I ordered berries for my Dentist office and when they were finally delivered they were hot and molded. I contacted the company they claimed they would give me a refund but after going round and round still NO refund. Will never use them again.
Ordered for my gf 40th birthday. Received them 3 days late. They left them outside a closed post office. The berries looked like a 2 year old decorated them nothing like the pictures. Ruined a surprise and screwed me out of $75.
This is my third time purchasing from sherries berries over the past five years and every purchase has been nothing but problems from the quality of the berries, shipping on time and delivery. It's very disappointing that a US company has to subcontract their customer service out of the country. And when you do call the one 800 number you are getting someone who neither speaks or understands English along with dogs barking and roosters crowing in the background.
Please if you read this review please take your business elsewhere and do not support this company that can't even support the USA.
If you like water logged strawberry jam with chocolate, I highly recommend ordering from Shari's Berries.
Customer service is overseas and if you send a detailed e-mail which includes order information and pictures, they will get back to you promptly with a promise to make it right and ask you to respond to that e-mail. When you respond to that e-mail the next e-mail says you did not provide enough information. When you call it sounds like a boiler room full of very nice people. I finally gave up and hung up after being put on hold for a long time. In all fairness, the flowers in this order were lovely, just way overpriced for the amount of flowers and the chocolate covered strawberry jam.
If I can give zero stars I would. I had been ordering from Shari's berries for quite some time now because my mother in law loves them. The last 2 times the delivery service was horrible with me getting emails that the gift was recieved when they weren't and it having it redelivered. But this past third time it was just worse. Alot worse. I ordered a gift of strawberries on 9/21/22 to arrive on 9/23. On 9/23 I received an email that stated "delivered" but I was told by the recipient that she did not receive it. Here we go again. I called customer service and they stated that they would resend the gift but I would have to wait until the following week. The next week still nothing and when I called customer service again I was told they would resend it... a third time within a few days. In the pictures attached the first one is that delivery which was garbage by the time it arrived. I was so embarrased with my family member and livid with this company. After an hour long wait on a phone call I was finally put through to an executive administrator, Danita, who was very nice and gave me a full refund. Because i had written a bad feedback summary I got a phone call from a Shari's rep who wanted to call my recipient and apologize but no one offered to send a "good" delivery for my family member. Also, this rep stated that she would recieve a delivery the next day but it probably wouldn't be in good condition. And she did. The second picture reflects that delivery. 2 boxes of garbage. Do not waste your time and money on this company. All you will get is frustration.
I ordered beautiful happy birthday strawberries & all I received is chocolate covered strawberries scattered in a box, twice!
Bottom line - If your delivery is time sensitive - Stay away!
Paid extra for date specific delivery for my daughter's birthday. Delivery was supposed to reach a MIDTOWN MANHATTAN hotel, which means that they are ALWAYS open and available to receive.
Called to Shari's service the night before to make sure the delivery would be on time and was reassured that it would.
Called on the day of the delivery and was told that they "tried" to make a delivery and were unsuccessful. Really? How incompetent does a delivery service need to be to "try" and fail at delivering to a hotel?...
I was reassured by the service person on the phone that it would still be delivered that day, which is my daughter's birthday. I waited for 15 minutes on the phone until she finished calling the shop and verifying that they would still deliver that same day.
They did not deliver.
I called again at 6 PM to find out what is happening, and after waiting for another 10 minutes, she told me that although they promised they would deliver today, the shop decided it would be better to deliver the next day. The day AFTER my daughter's birthday. The day she is checking out of the hotel.
Having no choice, I waited for the mornng to call in and verify that the delivery ill be made. I asked that they deliver in the afternoon, as my daughter will be out all ay and the cake and berries need refrigeration. Once again I received apologies and a promise that this time they will get it right.
In the early afternoon my daughter calls me to tell me that she received a strange call from a delivery man asking for money for a late day delivery.
At this point I called Shari's service screaming that they are the most unprofessional delivery company I have ever worked with. They reassured me that they will take care of it.
After a few more phone calls, the delivery was made:
- A day late, after my daughter's birthday, the delivery was finally made,
- After 7 long phone calls and hours on the phone with their "service" (or lack there of)
Shari's ruined the surprise as they called and badgered the recipient for more money for the delivery (and later apologized for the "unfortunate mistake")
Never again.
Product never received after six weeks. Called customer service twice they promised delivery twice they promised partial refund they promised emails none of the above ever came. Furthermore you talk to somebody on a phone line that can barely speak English and you cannot understand them at all.
I sent flowers and chocolate covered strawberries on the 20th to my niece for her birthday from Shari's Berries. The flowers were half dead and ice pack was melted so strawberries were melted, mushy and spoiled. The arrangement didn't look anything like what I ordered.
I called and complained - customer service spoke broken English - they sent a replacement for delivery today. Todays shipment had melted ice, the strawberry box was HOT and smelled, and the flowers looked like a $9.99 arrangement you'd pick up at a grocery store - and they were Cemetery dead. Oh the card said "Happy birthday from Howie and Monica".
Had a mini stroke, called to complain again. I could barely understand the Customer service rep. They wanted to send a replacement order - I said no. I said I want a full refund. They said how about 50% and a coupon. Said no again. He processed my refund for $115 and offered a $50 coupon. I told him nope I wouldn't use this service ever again.
He then asked if he could call Kim to apologize. He then called her and asked if she wanted something else. She declined and explained how awful both deliveries were. He then tried to talk to her about my credit. What are they doing talking to the recipient of a delivery about crediting my credit card?!
I actually have used them before and they were great. Not sure what happened but I will never use them again.

Did not deliver when scheduled and came two days later melted and crushed looking. Worst service ever do not order from this place
This was a horrible company to use. Late on order everything was so nasty hot and melted. They promised to fix it but ge this not for another 5 days. Okay fine... Guess what still no second order. By the time it arrives it will be melted also. They say we have to wait 24hr extra hours for a refund.
This is what I received as a thank you from my mom for helping with all of dad's final arrangements this past month. Looks like the entire order should have been buried with him. Now mom has to deal with getting a refund and knowing that what was sent with good intentions was not received as such on the other end. On a positive note, the ants seemed to have enjoyed the smashed overripe melted berries and the wilted flowers.
I ordered from them 2 times over the course of 3 months, and always one week in advance to give them plenty of time. Every time it was the same thing; the chocolate covered strawberries arrived 5 days late, I was never contacted in advance to have the option of trying to save the day for the occasion by making other plans, and every time I called, I was told that they have no information other than that it was not delivered and was given a list of maybes... maybe they were out of the item I wanted, maybe the recipient was not home, maybe there were issues with locating the residence... etc. No one had any idea why the delay both times.
My partner also ordered flowers for me on Mother's day and my Birthday and it happened to him too. NEVER AGAIN!
My friend surprised me with a box of dark chocolate strawberries yesterday from Shari's Berries and OMGOODNESS when I say juicy and sweet berries that's exactly what I mean. I will definitely be ordering for myself and letting family and friends know about these berries. Special thank to my friend Toni!
Was supposed to deliver berries to my friend for a birthday gift. She never received them. This was supposed to be through 1800flowers. I don't know which company is worse. Both are liars, that make promises and don't deliver. Will NEVER use either!
My mom ordered me a birthday gift of a half dozen chocolate covered strawberries and they arrived a day late, open and EATEN! The ice pack was hot to the touch and chocolate remnants smeared on the inside of the box. We called and had them send another, it still has not arrived and I bet anything it will arrive eaten or damaged. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! Save yourself some stress, time and money and bring your service to someone who will get it right. I'm honestly surprised this company is still in business. I will not be ordering here again and will advise everyone I know to steer clear!
The whole purpose of getting strawberries, flowers etc shipped to you by a company is that you receive them quickly and intact. We received a gift from this company of chocolate covered strawberries and a bouguet of flowers. We live in Arizona, its July, the strawberries were destroyed, even the fruit rotten, like they have been cooked at 500 degrees, chocolate coating disintegrated and cooked flowers. Hey the cold packs were hot, nothing survived the shipping process, what a complete and utter rip-off. To ship in summer in Arizona you need dry ice, so this company should be avoided and not used.
I ordered on 7/19 to be delivered on 7/20 when I received ordered it was the wrong order so they resent the order to be delivered the next day 7/21 the delivery never came I checked cameras and everything but they said they were delivered the Cincinnati ohio branch is very unprofessional I will not recommend them
The worst customer service on the planet. Disrespectful to the sick and elderly on the phone. Then they hang up on you and block your number. They won't last treating their customers like that.
I ordered two things from here for my stepmother for Mother's Day. The first one was paid for and not dilivered but a refund was made for 80.00. They told me they had run out of that particular one instead of telling me it was outside Thier delivery area. They let me order a second one, and charged me a delivery fee of 35.00 for a free delivery. Total cost for 2nd order was 155. 31. 6 weeks later and fruit arrangements I can't seem to get a refund. Just a bunch of dates when I will get it. Not happy with this and will never use it again. I would recommend no uses it. Terrible Customer Service. I get 800.00 a month in disability and that's a lot of money not to be refunded.
Answer: Because they f@ckimg suck, that's why. Once they get your money, piss off. They charged me 4 times for my order and never responded to any of my emails.
