BUT. Buyer Beware.
If you are unfortunate enough to have a rogue roofer/builder like I have had and then need help in resolving an issue, then forget about Bark.com helping you. They will provide you with some amazing excuses and take no responsibility despite promises that they are ready to help.
It is going to be interesting when they respond to this review and make out they really wanted to help me.
My opinion is that this is a form of scam. I've had to say goodbye to my £1050. 00 because Bark.com refused to help me. Lets see what they say so I can respond accordingly.
Opened a request for new website and quickly received a number of good responses from multiple companies. The respondents were detailed, attentive and competitive.

So I've been using bark for a month and initially it was good where I was able to make some money out of it. But as things progressed I was only spending money on buying credits and the leads (oh really?) were turning out to be pretty useless. Even the support team bears no accountability for the misleading leads that are given in their platform. All they do is simply apologize and say that it doesn't fall under their policy.

This web site / business is being used to spam me using an email they've copied off the internet - it might be a company using this website rather than the website itself but it obviously doesn't have adequate control on who uses the site

Purchased many leads from Bark and barely EVER get a response, which leads me to believe they're not real at all. Specifically, today I purchased a lead and the "person" responded saying that they never submitted a request for a photo booth service on Bark. Their email was very specific so there is no way it was a typo in the email. I'm very disappointed especially since the lead cost me a lot of tokens...

I've been with this company for 7 months, and out of 300+ leads that I purchased, I got 8 that were real. And majority of leads don't even reply back and ghost you. Most change their minds, or make a mistake, or end up giving the jobs you're bidding for to their family and friends. Based on Bark.com's policy, if someone posts a request for a service and then 5 people from Bark bid on it and that person decides to give his bid to his best friend or family friend. Bark does not return you the credits that you used to purchase that lead.
And that is the scam. People who post for Jobs on Bark do it free. So they could care less if they don't get back to you. Bark makes money 100% from people like myself, and their tone with us especially from their support people over the phone is outright rude... That is why 3 months ago I stopped paying them, and had 400 credits left on my Bark account left, and now I am down to 160... and I got zero leads that I hired. Dozens of them have ghosted, as I daily sent a follow up message on a update from them. Or if they could let me know if they changed their mind? And here's the frustrating part, even if they changed their mind, Bark won't give you credits back.
I have dozens of review on my Bark Profile, all 5 Stars... so there are no issues with my service to my clients that I did hire. Something else happening at Bark is not adding up or making sense.
They only give you credits back, if the number of the person posting is not valid or not in service. I'm from Canada, and another issue is companies that farm out services from Canada to India; such as Web Design, or Social Media Marketing, Logos, etc. A logo design for example would cost $60 to $200 depending on what's needed. We get price cut from a person in India for $10. The cost to acquire the lead for Logo Design is $7. For a $3 profit, it's not worth the efforts.
I'm not planning to give Bark.com any of my money, because it's failed to establish a business that rewards its Sellers, like myself. I don't have any issues losing a lead to someone else on Bark, it's ok, that happens. But to lose a lead in the way I mentioned above... no I'm not ok with that, because there was no reason for any person to post a request on Bark then anyway, cause all that did was waste our time and money, and Bark gets to profit. That is the SCAM and Bark knows it.
I can't prove it yet, but I wonder if Bark hires people to just post random stuff "requests for services" and get us sellers to bid on them, it keep their profits soaring.
I can't imagine how much abuse Bark's support team gets, I feel for them, and it's a toxic system or energy. Every time I get off the phone with support, it's like having an uncomfortable conversation with your ex, who cheated on you! Lol...
So my review it, stay away from BARK... don't use them, find another method. Hopefully I can get my money's worth and ROI on my investment.

I should have read the honest reviews before purchasing leads, which are VERY expensive and have almost 0% ROI. They really get you with their sleek interface and make purchasing leads and their "get hired guarantee" a seemingly no brainer situation, when in reality it is deception. These leads are recycled, there is no guarantee that they are real, and they are not serious buyers. These are people looking for very cheap services, not professionals. Use your money elsewhere and don't give this company any more of your time or funding!

A shady business practice to say the least.
My business was bombarded by emails that I NEVER signed up or subscribed to an email list.
Then ask for money to give me leads.
Umm? Its called Google Ads for a reason.
Get a REAL job / business making legitimate money.
I am re-posting this since Bark keeps removing it from Trustpilot.com saying its not legitimate. Lets just say all the 5 star reviews are fake and false reviews by the business itself.
Their business strategy is get other businesses signed up to their website to give these businesses leads that don't exist.

These people are thieves. They got my husbands credit card information from somewhere, and have been charging us money since 2 months. We didnt pay attention at that time. Recently when going through our statement we found this bark.com transaction on our account.
I was surprised, We never received their spam emails or anything ever.
After reading all these review, it is now confirmed these people are scammers and Thieves too.

I have tried Bark.com and have been left disappointed and out of pocket. I had a technical difficulty with my account at Bark.com and have had the unfortunate experience of having to communicate with Ms Kim at Bark.Com, she was extremely rude to me. Extremely aggressive behaviour, does not listen and talks over the top of you the whole time. When I asked a question from her, she just kept saying that she is unable to assist and I should refer to their website for more information and hung up the phone. I would never deal with this agency.

I have had an overwhelmingly positive experience with Bark. I've been using it for several months and when I didn't get a client from my initial purchase of credits, they honored their promise to return the credits to me.
Since then I have gotten business from Bark and anticipate more.
Finally, I would be remiss not to mention that when I reached a "fake" number through Bark I called and in and talked to Harry. He returned the credits to me and was super helpful in general! Would recommend.

Very dissatisfied with the company. We paid Rs. 4,500/- but not a single lead was worthwhile. When we wrote to company, they said amounts are not refundable. We strongly recommend that customers beware of this fraud company and not to pay a single penny. Don't throw your hard earned money in front of rogues!

Came on to search for councilling services, I was given lots of options and found exactly who we were looking for. Be careful when using this company to find work. They wash their hands very quickly if you get connected with a business that has poor practices.
Their system rating is off and easy to manipulate by anyone joining them to find work. We learned this the hard way. We contracted a company that looked like an Elite under their rating to know later that it is easy to earn that title by manipulating the profile and surveys.
I emailed multiple times about the incident, and they ignored every email. I then called to share the practice of this company, and during sharing, the representative hung up. When I finally connected with another representative, he said, "Sorry, it is your job and duty to identify if that contractor will be of good fit or one you can trust."
I used their platform to find a designer and developer to execute a website. Bark represents this particular business since they are in their platform; they are considered an elite in their platform. However, they will not own any misrepresentation. They didn't verify this company, which happens to be a ghost company with no location to pin.
Be careful that they don't have any policies and guidelines that protect us here in the US.

John mason from affordable paving scammed me of $10,000. So not use this scammer on bark.com. They will leave you in the lurch. Bark is a dishonest platform. They do nothing for fraud other than offer a pathetic we're sorry I would never commend bark.

Answer: Bark may or may not be legit, but their barks are very often bogus tire kickers or scammers. They've got a lot of work to do to clean up their act. They need to go straight membership and those needing the work done need to PAY to speak to a professional instead of the professional paying to speak to the bogus tire kicker.
Answer: No it is not, total scam. They take your money and send you fake leads.
Answer: Your reviews are high on Trustpilot because they remove all the negative reviews from their profile. Bark.com removed my review twice. Trustpilot is the only review website that allows businesses to remove reviews for a price. Trustpilot got criticized in several news articles for being easily manipulated of their 'Reviews' for $600 any business profile can push up or down review they want. Look up 'Trustpilot news articles'; they say 'Trustpilot reviews are just paid advertising'
Answer: Agree with above, In my experience, this has been a COMPLETE SCAM. Spend all that money to place an ad, or renew your website, DO NOT INVEST IN BARK
Answer: Bark don't verify whether any of the customer tel numbers actually work and most of the leads are poor quality so they won't answer anyway. Save your money, honestly.
Answer: Very true. Misleading leads. No lead vetting. Just Bark saying leads have been verified. But how do we know when no lead responds. They seem fake to me. Bad experience and worst leading platform.
Answer: Bad lead quality, stay away. Zero customer service. On the phone they will tell you that you are wasting their time.
Answer: The 1 star reviews are real. All the other 5 stars are not. This website preys on desperate businesses that require work and signs them up with a cost. First, they searched deep on the internet as my business has NEVER heard of them before their Spam-my email. They send an email stating that I have a lead on their website that I NEVER signed up on. Then ask for money to see who this lead is. To keep their site running, they say to people who are looking for particular businesses that they have them when they don't.
Answer: £1.20 per credit for a starter pack, then £1.50 after that and unqualified leads with next to no information cost between 10 and 18 credits. 10 leads will cost over £200 and doubtful will generate any work
Answer: It's because the positive customer reviews are almost certainly fake. Look at the dates. Look at the volume of reviews. Approximately 100 positive customer reviews of Bark have appeared on Sitejabber between early December 2019 and today (late January 2020). Compared to the number of reviews they received prior to December 2019, that is just an astounding number of reviews. This is not normal.
