I signed up with Bark for their Get Hired Guarantee policy. I'm extremely disappointed with this. Most leads are definitely fake as both the email and phone numbers don't exist. Out of the 12 leads I contacted ( by email, phone, texting, messaging thorugh the website) only ONE answered a phone call. This lead posted the ad as urgent, hiring immediately. When i called they said oh no, i'm just looking to see what's out there I don't think i'll be hiring any time soon.

I have now emailed customer support several times requesting the get hired guarantee policy (return of all credits) and I feel absolutley helpless. Antonio emailed me back once with completely irrelevant information because he clearly did a cut copy and paste response.

Extremely dissatisfied and as a small business owner, i feel completely taken advantage of.

If you happen to be approached by an telecaller to enroll and pay for advertising your services, behold from getting over excited, because this is only the beginning of your journey of getting bullied and cheated by Bark for investing with them for getting leads for your business.
The moment you pay for the services, you will find almost all the leads a false and are scam, and the most interesting part is that Bark knowns about it, as none of the leads are verified. Anyone can post a lead on this, without knowing what they are asking for. And Bark is only interested in extracting your money for the membership, and are least bothered about providing you services.
They have hired some people who probably did not get a employment scope anywhere else, and having provided the job of tele caller, think they can implement their own rules and play with our money. They donot return back the points deducted due to wrong leads or leads that do not answer your calls, and all these are deliberately done by Bark only to extract your money. This portal is nothing but a big scam for extracting money in the name of providing platform to grow your business.

I engaged the above-mentioned tradesman through Bark, as he submitted a very good quote. I asked him to install and fit an outside light with sensor. He was friendly and professional throughout. He cleaned up very throughly when he had finished.

Disappointed
July 8, 2023

I've written some good reviews for Bark and I'll leave them be. Today though I am disappointed. I used up two paid leads at a cost of $148 (quite cjeap by Bark standards!). You win some lose some as expected. But these leads never gave anyone a chance. Here are the responses I got (eventually):

"Hi Keith Thankyou the job is no longer required" and
""Hi Keith, sorry I'be cancelled my request."

So as you can see, I didn't lose on a bid - these clients simply withdrew from wanting a job done. I never even got to put in a quote. Clearly, they were not serious leads - but the price was damn serious.

I tried to get a refund on these false leads and was told:

"We will not return credits in the following circumstances:
1. The mobile number has been verified (they do verify numbers and emails)
2. You make contact with a customer, but do not secure the job
3. The contact information is valid but the customer does not respond"

Point 1 is meaningless really - a number has no value if it's not answered.
Point 2 seems fair, but isn't if the customer hires nobody and gives no one a chance to quote.
Point 3 is a real stinker and unethical. You can pay up to $120 for one lead and that's actually OK as long as they (Bark) take care of lead quality - and they don't beyond initial contact details.

So. Having just purchased another $500 of credits I'll see how it goes and then review my commitment.
I'm really very sad about this - as I said, I've left them some very good reviews in the past - and they were justified, just as this bad review is justified now.

We booked a caterer called Served Catering through Bark for our grand opening event for our new apartment community. We paid upfront as you would for a caterer, this event was over $7000. The day of the event scheduled for 250+ people, I received an email marked "Urgent" stating that they had to cancel the event because of plumbing issues that contaminated the food. They promised a full refund and a gift certificate in the amount spent, we did not receive either. When we tried to call the number associated with the email the VM was full. No email reply's either.
Obviously, I failed to do my homework, my bad!

Bark says they are not in control and simply put us in touch with companies much like the "yellow pages". Shame on me for not doing my own research-wait what are these companies for then?

Bark response below:
"As we're not party to the eventual contract between you and your chosen professional, unfortunately, we cannot directly assist you in resolving this situation. Any agreement you have is between yourself and the professional concerned. Our role is simply to put you in touch with a professional in much the same way the Yellow Pages, Google or an advert in the paper would do."

Incompetent

I work as a photographer, spent a few hundred dollars on their credits. Their leads are never responding, they don't have the necessary categories and when speaking with support they are automatically on the defensive.

Avoid.

This is the biggest scam I have ever encountered as a vendor. They will literally rob you of money with leads where there is no phone number that works, where you call and the call gets disconnected or the leads change there name after you reach out. Go to THUMBTACK they have more integrity and better customer service.

Bark is benefitting from the fake ads been posted on their page from verified people. Example today 01/06/23, someone by the name of daniel posted tonnes of the same ad to all towns and cities, many responded but the ads was fake, daniels account is verified by bark. So efficient.

Just had my carpets cleaned, both upstairs and downstairs,by Steve
Barker.(Diamond Pro Clean.) Brilliant finish,top of the range equiptment and a fantastic fella(Steve) doing the work. He was very thorough.
Explained in detail what was to be done and set about it in a very professional manor. On top of all that,the cost was really Good.
Needless to say I fully reccomend him. Cheers Mick.

I searched up on Bark to find a dog groomer that would come to my home for my palliative dog.
Desiree bathed and groomed my dog so gently and carefully! She did such a great grooming, I'm having her come back next week to groom my Labrador Receiver!

The 3 leads that I was able to reach out to were unresponsive. When asked to receive more contacts, I was given a free contact yet was not told it would expire. When I called about this issue I was told nothing could be done.

I called customer support and the man on the other end was disgusting, so i called again and he was worse. I never raised my voice or talked abusive, they real a holes at the office. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.!

I have used Bark now as a way to get leads and it has officially wasted over $300. I have not received 1 valid lead and when I request credits they are not accommodating. They ask for proof which is not always available because we spoke on the phone.
The "leads" are people looking for work and the amount to but the lead is very expensive.
It is a complete waste of money so learn from me and do not use!

Bark uses fake leads with scraped numbers.

Bark is 100% a fraud, take a look at the attached images. None of their leads are real, almost none ever respond and endlessly string you along when they do without ever committing to paying.

Do not under any circumstances give them money. They likely pay for 5-star reviews, and they have aggressively taken down my reviews and complaints on other sites.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
