Bark is full of fake leads, they will reply once and then ignore you. This happened to me eight times. They just want you to keep buying credits. Go to thumbtack, atleast you get real leads.

Don't bother

I contacted over 15 job leads-supposedly looking to hire a company and most were looking for jobs-none answered phone calls or emails. Do not waste your time or your money

I use a lot of lead-based apps, and this one is by far the worst. It's hands down the most expensive, and I rarely have any interaction from leads I paid for. In fact, I have had certain contacts tell me not to contact them RIGHT after they supposedly posted the lead. I do not believe these leads are real, and the fact that they just upped their prices is outrageous. I'm done using them moving forward.

Fake leads.
August 27, 2023

They use ppc to get leads and several of the leads are bs. I have had 1 lead actually be a real client. I've purchased 3 packages only one person who has been paying client. Contacted at least 60 leads spoken with about 10.1 signed up. If this was leads coming through my website it would be 80% success. If the prospect is real they get many emails from Bark and they avoid it. I don't recommend Bark.

New roof
July 23, 2023

W RAY roofing based in Dunstable were hired to replace a new roof on my house as I had no felt under my roof and it use to leak leading to damage to ceilings in my house. They done a new roof for is very happy with new roof. The men cleaned up and took all rubbish with them. We are very happy with new roof reason able price and didn't take a penny till whole job was done. 25 Yr guarantee on roof with a certificate of work done. Would definitely recommend any work on roof repairs or new roof.

Total scam, avoid!

As a photographer I learned the hard way by succumbing to "So and so viewed your profile and wants to hear from you urgently." It doesn't follow that 9 out of 10 times my response goes unanswered, leading me to conclude that these were bogus prompts intended to hook me to buy more credits. It's a scam, there's no other explanation. I often asked myself, who goes to Bark in the first place? No one I know has ever heard of it. Most people just Google whatever they're looking for. The language on the requests is always curiously similar too. In hindsight, so many red flags, but I was hopeful that it was legit. Just another web scam. Lesson learned. Unless you enjoy losing money, stay away.

This to take into account as a service provider before paying for leads on Bark.com

You will receive an endless array of job opportunities for your services these opportunities cost in the region of £10-£30.

As a service provider you will be open to having your jobs reviewed by your clients which isn't a bad thing at all but as a customer there will be no review or rank system.

Anyone can post a job and 5 people can pay for the lead to the Job. Barks requirements for customers are that the have a phone number that rings, it doesn't have to be there's and there is no verification procedure.

I have spent in the region of £250-£300 on false leads where no one answers your call, text or email, bark are only to helpful in generically sending you there T&C'S back when the leads amount to nothing.

I have paid for jobs where a customer needs the work the next day and have called them off the back off the notification only to amount to nothing.

I have tried every possible scenario in chasing leads but I would say 1 in 20 pay off and by paying off I mean actual contact.

Look for work elsewhere this website is solely concentrated on protecting the profit margin they have absolutely no regard for the independent/small business owners at all.

Used by scammers to find victims!

Used by scammers to find victims. No checks of any sort of the legitimacy of the business. I got scammed of £3500 by a cowboy building company owned by: Nasy William Smith, posing as Smiths Construction (located at 82 Station Road, Evesham, WR11 7HX) but effectively taking the money for the deposit and doing almost no job. I got left with this at my property, no extension done. See pictures.
Once complained to Bark they just told me they cancelled Smiths Construction account but effectively the fake builder just cancel the account by himself after defrauding 6 customers.
I strongly advise AGAINST using BARK.com.

An absolutely horrific experience with a 'cleaner' who charged £300.

The reviews on bark.com are 100% fake. There is no Sara/Sarah's army (they can't decide on the branding). She doesn't exist despite the 9 FAKE 5* reviews on there giving HER a glowing reference. (You will note that I am the only 'verified' review for a reason!) Additionally the company keep deleting my review (how does it makes sense to allow this on bark, it's an invitation to be scammed if they can keep creating fake positives and not allowing negative?!)

Instead two Romanian people arrived, MR MOLDOVAN ALEXANDRU RAZVAN (as per his bank details) and a woman with funky teeth who I now know to be his wife. I was expecting a team given the name but accepted two people might be fine. They asked for payment immediately stating it was barks terms. I couldn't work out why the name was different so he tried to show me on my phone and sent it. A fact I wasn't aware of.

He then left within 40 minutes to 'collect his child from nursery' and only notified me via text after he left even though I was in the house. When he returned 2 hours later (not the 15-20 mins he stated in the text) he was alone.

He did an absolutely shocking job and at the end, after only 2.5 hours, he left again WITHOUT telling me. I checked the work and it is horrific, he did almost nothing. This is not a deep clean as per the quote. I pleaded with him within 10 minutes of him leaving to come back and finish and he refused saying he was busy. I asked him to refund some money, he also refused. I have items missing from my bedroom which I now expect that is the reason why he wants to disappear!

If I can find a way to post photos with this review including of their faces so you're not scammed too, I will!

IF YOU ARE CONTACTED BY THIS COMPANY, RUN A MILE. If you do answer a call from them, you'll soon see that there is absolutely no Sarah! Their current telephone number is ******* *******.

I have reported him to the police, trading standards and to bark and will not stop until I have my money back!

IIt is incredible how Bark steals your money through offers on their credits.
I only bought credits when there were promotions of 50% discount on credits.
On June 20, one of those promotions arrived and what would be my surprise when I tried to buy the credits with a value of $800 for just paying $400, the discount was not applied and the $800 was charged to my account by making my overdraft card. I immediately wrote to customer service to make the report, normally they respond immediately, I have never had a problem with that part, but I am surprised that they did not answer me immediately, I wrote another email again and nothing. A third email was sent on the third day and until then they responded very emphatically saying that they were very clear in their policy, that they did not refund money.
At this point I am going to make a claim through my bank, already with proof in hand that Bark practically stole my money.
Be very careful with this company before buying credits, read other reviews to discover the practices they are carrying out at Bark.
DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY ON BARK, IT'S A TOTAL STEAL.

Scam, scam scam

The worse ever service for trade guys it's a scam the contact are set up by bark so you use credits with there fake contact dont water your time, very unprofessional the lady i was talking to call * was one of the rudest customer service I have ever spoken to Very and helpful and unprofessional never be using their service again as a tradesperson it is a scam they have stolen my money any response from them I will not be getting it back even verified phone numbers are fake leads

I am writing to bring to your attention a recent incident that has caused significant disruption to my business operations on your platform. I would appreciate your immediate attention and resolution regarding this matter.

On 6 Jun 2023, 23:36 BST, my account, *******@coldblud.com, had been unexpectedly deleted by employee Martin without any prior notice or apparent reason. This deletion resulted in the loss of all the money I had invested and the leads I had purchased through your platform. I was taken aback by this action, as it severely impacted my ability to conduct business effectively.

In an attempt to seek support and clarification, I promptly contacted your customer service department (call log 6 Jun 2023, 23:57 BST). Regrettably, my experience was far from satisfactory. I was met with rudeness from a male employee, who abruptly hung up on me without providing me with an opportunity to explain the issue I was facing. Such treatment left me frustrated and disappointed, as I expected better from a company like Bark.com.

Considering the gravity of this situation, I am concerned whether such actions are a normal practice within your company. The sudden deletion of my account, coupled with the unprofessional behavior of your customer service representative, has raised doubts in my mind about the reliability and professionalism of Bark.com's services.

I kindly request that you investigate the actions taken by the employee named Martin, who deleted my account without any explanation. And the male employee, who abruptly hung up on me on 6 Jun 2023, 23:57 BST. I believe it is essential for Bark.com to take responsibility for the inconvenience caused and to rectify the situation promptly. It is crucial that my account is reinstated, and I regain access to the funds and leads that were lost as a result of this incident.

I trust that, as a reputable company, you value the satisfaction and trust of your customers. I sincerely hope that you will address this matter with the utmost urgency and provide me with a satisfactory resolution. I eagerly await your prompt response and a positive outcome.

As an air conditioning company I was inundated with leads all week! (Over 500 leads)
I purchased 100 credits to see if Bark lived up to its reputation. I connected with 10 leads and had 1 response that was interested in a site survey but then changed their mind 12 hours before it was due to take place.
All leads were responded to on the same day as
Leads were advertised but I received no response apart from one. I feel like the app is a scam and will not use again!
