Stay Away!
March 9, 2020

Ordered a Galaxy S9 plus with a grade of "Good". Received phone with obvious burn-in on the LCD. They couldn't be slower to respond to any messages (almost 24hrs for each reply). Reported the issue 2/27, as of 3/2 I'm still waiting to hear how they are going to fix the issue. Back Market does nothing to make the Sellers responsible. AVOID!

Recently bought 4 devices off Back Market: a Mint condition MacBook Air 13.3", a Mint condition Google Pixel 3, Stallone condition iPhone 7, Stallone condition iPhone 7 Plus, and a
Fair condition Samsung Galaxy S8. Despite a few barely-visible scratches on the body, I was completely awed by the conditions of the phones and the speed of the shipping.

Just so bad!
February 4, 2020

I would like to narrate some facts about order #*******.
1) I purchased 1st MacBook from seller Koala Stash rated as "good" condition and came in with a dent on the face of the device. Sent it back and 2) the MacBook that came in on 2nd time has black dots on the screen that can be felt. Since I was already frustrated because this was the second device, I tried to clean it with a regular glass cleaner and a rag thinking that it was just dirt. It turned out that the screen got permanent marks on it after that and black dots are still there. The seller voided my warranty because I cleaned the device with a glass cleaner. It's like selling a used car and expecting that the buyer will never bring the car to a car wash. I am sincerely disappointed with the seller and with Back Market overall.

I bought a Nintendo Gamecube Wavebird controller for 80 euros, its status said "excellent conditions", but... the controller arrived a couple of days late (not a big deal to me, if I hadn't paid 15 euros for a delivery from Marseille to Milan that was advertised as "within 48 hours"), and the two joypads were damaged: the C stick was badly scratched and somehow "repaired" with some yellow rubber attached to a side of it, and the grey stick, besides being dirty underneath its "head", is deformed. I replaced the parts myself (luckily I had a tri-wing screwdriver with me, and a broken controller to cannibalise), and again, it's not a big deal (the controller has been working perfectly so far), but I can't say I'm happy with all the money I spent. Customer service seems efficient, though: as I'm writing this message, they're offering to refund the delivery. As much as I appreciate it, I would have preferred a little more attention in the details beforehand. As I wrote, I spent 80 euros for an 18-year-old used controller that should've been in much better conditions for its pricetag. UPDATE: today I received a complete refund! I didn't expect that at all, their support was impeccable. So, my review goes from three to five stars! As I'm into retrogaming, I'll probably pay them another visit very soon. Thank you!

Backmarket is terrible
January 9, 2020

Purchased Airpods through backmarket on 11/12/2019. The airpods stopped syncing and after going to Apple Store, determined that they were not working, requested a return on 12/27/2019. There is a 12 month warranty advertised on their site. Since that date I have made multiple attempts to call and get a return label for the defective product. I have called 5 times since Monday 1/6/2020, each time getting a different answer about the status of the return. They say it has been transferred to a "higher department" who I am unable to speak directly with. When I ask to speak with a manager, they are never available for multiple reasons, meetings, on another call, not there. An offer to schedule a call back is offered and no one ever returns a call. Avoid this company! There is no customer service that will help you!*************From their return policy*************** Oh heavens no. You've encountered a defect during the warranty period? Network, button, camera issues, etc. Open a customer service ticket and get the help you need in 3 clicks. We'll take the device back in under 24 hours! Get a free shipping label to return the device to the refurbisher. We always guarantee a happy ending. Your device is repaired or (if that's not possible) exchanged free of charge.

Back Market is a third party seller. You are actually buying from a vendor. After returning an ipad with a faulty touchscreen, it took over 4 weeks and countless calls and emails to get a refund from Back Market. Most frustrating purchase I have ever made. I do not recommend this business due to their complete lack of customer support.

I bought a refurbished MacBook through BackMarket almost a year ago. It was in a a way worse condition than described which happens, I understand, but i did not want it. So i reached out to the company requesting a return/refund. They issued me a return label and I sent the product back immediately. It has been almost a year now - tons of emails, phone calls, online chatting etc... but i am still trying to get my $700 back for the product that i returned. A person named David from their company is "personally taking care of my case and making sure that I will receive my refund as soon as possible". 2 month ago he stopped answering all the emails, and not accessible over the phone. I keep getting promises by other employees of the company that he will reach back to me since he is the only person who is taking care of my case now. But i have not heard any update from David or anybody else neither received any portion of my refund yet. I have all the correspondence on file and this case is going to the case soon if I don't get my refund.

Excellent place to buy reconditioned electronics-save a few bucks and get a one year warranty. They are very fast and I could not find a scratch on the android phone we purchased. When they cut over 5G service in this area the phone no longer worked so they paid return postage and my phone was back in 5 days fully functional. They just introduced another 10% off for active, vets as well as their families-a wonderful place to do business with.
