I PURCHASED A REFURBISHED IPAD MINI WITH CELLULAR. WIFI FROM BACK MARKET WEBSITE & WAS SUPPOSED TO BE SENT TRACKING WHICH I RECEIVED THE DAY OF ARRIVAL. THE IPAD I RECEIVED DID NOT HAVE CELLULAR. UPON TRYING TO EXCHANGE OR RETURN, THEIR WEBSITE SHOWED I HAD NO ORDER SO i COULD NOT CONTACT THE SELLER. TRY THE HELP BUTTON, & ALL YOU GET ARE AUTO RESPONSES. NO WAY TO CONTACT ANYONE OR HAVE THEM CONTACT YOU. PIECE OF $#*! BUSINESS. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS TO ANYONE!

Run don't walk

They will sell you stuff that they know doesn't work at all. They take a long time to ship. They take a long time to refund. I ordered two iPad minis' neither of them worked. I also ordered a laptop. After I saw had bad the iPads were I wanted my money back for my computer. They had my money for my laptop for I er a month and the laptop had not been shipped yet. I spoke with a so called representative on the phone stating I wanted a refund then magically the laptop was marked as being shipped so I had to reach back out again to ask for a refund. Then they have the nerve to offer me a discount on my next order. There will never order anything from here again. Don't waste your time. They never let you speak to a manager either.

Buyer beware

I purchase a "like new" iPhone from them as a birthday present for my wife. When we received the phone, about 1/3 of the touch screen did not work properly. When I tried to return it under the 30 day no questions period, I was switched to different email addresses and people. I never received the return instructions, so I advised them I was returning it to them and disputing the charge to my Visa card. Three months later, I was advised by UPS they refused delivery and by Visa they proved I ordered the phone. So now, I have a defective phone that is not worth what I paid. In my opinion, these folks are thieves. I will likely have to sue them. Stay away.

As long as the product you receive is in working order they are great. I have been trying to get a refund for over a month now.
SO BUYER BEWARE REFUNDS ARE NOT VERY EASY TO GET. I am still waiting. I have decided Amazon is the only way to go. They give refunds without having to continually email every day. Also Back Market does not have a phone number to call. As far as I can tell they have stolen $270. From me. Good luck if you buy there.

Legit! I worked Covid-19 spring, Mar-June, and summer school with a little school issued laptop. I had to make a change, and have used macs for most of my life. I also needed the pay from summer before purchasing. I researched different places, types of computers (i5, i7, memory, monitor and video quality, price, return policy, and finally delivery time). After everything it came down to price and delivery time. Back Market won, and they delivered, however there were two issues. My box was partially open, which didn't seem to be an issue, and it may have had something to do with the second issue or not... however my xomputer arrived with no operating system. It may have bot been too much of in an issue if we had some really strong internet, but we live in a canyon and that seems to effect what is available to us. So, I kind of freaked out. I had had to wait to pretty close to school starting to order, waiting for summer term pay. Anyway, through email to Back Market I had a start up usb on my front porch within two days of pulling the computer out of the packaging. The computer is like brand new! The customer service was amazing! And, I highly recommend this company!

Backmarket advertised and sold a product (Air Fryer Paula Deen 9.5 QT - Red)), but they did not have a red one available to sell. They, instead, just shipped a black one in hope that it was ok with me, without asking. So far, they have failed to acknowledge a refund and a return shipping label for the item, as I do not want it.
Beware, they bait and switch without consulting you.

I bought a refurbished iphone 7 plus for my mom's birthday, the highest grade/quality they offer (basically "new"). When the iPhone arrived, it had scratches on the back and the battery life was below 80%. I contacted the seller and returned it, but never received my money back. It's been 2 months and I am working with my bank to report fraud. DO. NOT. DO. IT.

I ordered an S10 and was charged incorrectly. Phone arrived and worked great. So i emailed support and was told another person would need to resolve. Each week, i emailed again and was told it would be taken care of but the person needing to review it had not responded yet. After 9 weeks i finally notified the credit card company. Then Back Market told them they would not permit the credit. I have all the emails and this company will not fix their mistake. No way to talk to a person. No customer service once you buy a phone. Hope i never have to try to use the warranty i puchased.

I purchased a refurbished I-phone in August of 2019 for my wife from Back Market (broker), not understanding that the phone actually came from a 3rd party. Upon receipt of the phone, I noticed that a screw was half way out on the bottom of the phone. BM asked us to take it to a local repair shop (UbreakiFix) and they got the screw out and inserted a new screw. UbreakiFix also told my wife that there were multiple screws that appeared to be missing when they opened the phone. They evidently had to remove both screws, open and close the screen in order to get it back together correctly. They said it powered up okay and appeared to work. Phone stopped working after 11 mos. And I returned it to their "partner" to have it fixed (under warranty). Upon them receiving the phone, they said that either we, or someone else had opened the phone, which effectively voided the warranty. BM claimed it was missing parts. The screen was in clean condition and it had never been exposed to water or excessive moisture. The phone just stopped powering up... My wife and I wouldn't know how to open the phone and it was only looked at by BM and/or their partner. Still waiting to get our defective phone back. I would steer clear of this company unless you too want to get conned by a very shady company.

Oder # *******, the order was cancelled. Glen, their employee, send me an email advising they would return my funds, $1,400.00. Somehow they deleted that email, it is no longer in my system. They won't respond to my emails.

What to do?

I bought a refurbished iPhone in Mint condition. It worked as expected for 2 weeks then turned off overnight and never worked again. The website and branding look great; the quality of the device didn't follow and customer service there is the bare minimum. Pretty disappointing.

Went to the BBB and found direct contact information (above) for this company. The excuse I was given, by Austin, is that the contact info is 'supposed' to be on the site and that they are updating it. Considering that my order was a month ago, that answer does not pass the sniff test. It doesn't take that long to update a website. Here's the rest of the story. Ordered a mac from these people, I guess they're people. I wasn't able to actually contact anyone, until today. I immediately cancelled the laptop order, as I got my pc repaired. This was a almost a month ago and still have not received the refund. I was just told that the refund has processed. At this point, about to challenge the purchase and report them to the BBB among others. They have limited rote answers for issues and are not responsive. I would suggest not using them to purchase any item.

My order has been stuck in "validation" for 24 hours even though it took all of about 5 seconds for them to take my money. I have asked repeatedly for the order to be cancelled and the money returned with to communication received from the company.

Disappointment

Referring my order a lot went wrong, I have given full address while purchasing the item unfortunately address was missing unit number, therefore ups was unable to deliver the item at my front door. We found the item after 12 hours by coincidence in front of another unit in our building that is so unprofessional and weird. Second issue I have ordered mint item there is a dent at he bottom of the computer. If we come to conclusion I will not refer to any of my friend or anybody your service thank you

The absolute worst company ever! They are thieves and scammers. I bought 2 laptops I never received. I fought for my refund and got 90.00 out of the 400 they owed me back. They ruined my graduation gift to my daughter for college.

Phone doesn't work

I purchased a phone from the site. It doesn't explain you are buying a phone from a complete stranger and they are just a middle man. The phone got here and doesn't hold any charge and doesn't work when it's plugged in.
I emailed to request a return and now I have to get with a "seller". Luckily I used my American Express. I would not recommend this company.

They send you a product then GONE... No instructions, dont reply accurately... Tell you to Google... Product works BUT not for the $$$ they charge.NO PHONE NUMBERS for company, e-mails are Dead ends... Stay away.
