We ordered from Backmarket the first time when my son was ready for his first smartphone. Backmarket's site makes it easy to search and filter the results to find just what you are looking for. We've found that their representations about the appearance of the products they sell are well described and accurate. We were happy enough with our first purchase for me to buy a laptop from them. Again, the robust search and filter capabilities helped me find several laptops that met my very stringent guidelines! Backmarket purchases have a 12 month warranty, which is the same as I'd get if I purchased new. I just bought a 2021 model laptop that normally would cost $1100-$1200, for $659 in excellent refurbished condition. I'm pretty happy right now!
I was sold a crappy phone that didn't work within the first week. I had to pay $150 for a new display and also have the local repair shop replace screws that were missing inside the phone and fix the connection of the battery. (My repair shop has almost 5 stars by over 1200 people.) They said the phone had not only been refurbished but repaired from damage and poorly done. The seller, imatch, discouraged me from taking the phone to a third-party and no wonder, considering the mess that was inside. Now they are unwilling to reimburse me for even part of the repairs. Every message they started with hoping that I was having an "excellent day" even though they knew that I wasn't. Would not hear back from imatch (Julia) until a day later and finally had no choice but to take the phone somewhere else as I had already been 3 days without my phone (which is crucial for my line of work). Then after 3 days they wanted me to mail the phone back to them -after I provided photos and everything- not committing to whether or not they were going to deal with the problem and thus leaving me without my phone for at least another week, possibly more. Who can go a week without a phone?! BackMarket has not advocated for me or done anything about it. I am so disappointed that I could've now spent this much money on a phone with Amazon and at least had peace of mind and better customer service. My initial excitement at finding BackMarket has now turned to a sick feeling in my stomach. Very unhappy.
I love it, would definitely recommend. I got a £400 phone for £140 in perfect condition. I could have got it cheaper but I wanted white. The condition was "excellent" from seller The iOutlet, it does not have a scratch on it, works perfectly and the battery is lasting 2+ days.
Old phone was getting slow. Was about to buy new but then found out about Back Market. Picked a phone with all the features, GB, unlocked, etc that I was looking for and saved about 80% of what I was prepared to spend. Shipped fast and everything's been working great since.
Phone was kept in a case at all times. Not a scratch on it.
It was sold as "good condition".
Once they received they dropped the offer by 50 stating a "chip oh the case".
If there is a chip they must be looking very closely, and it certainly wouldn't be enough to make a description of "good condition" not accurate.
I assume they pull this nonsense on a lot of customers to maximise their profit margin.
Sold me a broken phone and will not provide reimbursement for the fix. Their only fix option is a 7-14 day repair or a refund, both leaving me without a phone instead of just reimbursing a third party's fix. A third-party fix (me taking it in somewhere locally) would be done in 1 hour; id keep my phone, no shipping days, packaging or more money, and im not left without a phone.
I needed a new laptop, ordered a Mac laptop, when i received the goods the charger didn't work with the laptop, my partner checked it out and he said it needed a service and a brand-new battery would need to be fitted.
I sent the laptop back and asked for a refund, this morning i received another laptop. Which wasn't ordered. I now have to send this back. I have sent back market a message.
Very disappointed as this site was recommended. I will never purchase form here again.
Purchased an iphone 11 in May 2022. 3 months into having the iphone the screen is black
I purchased the warranty but back market states I can not use it because its outside of their scope to fix it. Customer service is only via email which can be very frustrating.
I do not recommend buying from this company
Their products are more expensive than you can buy somewhere else. The only reason I bought from them is that they promised $199 for my trade in. When they received it, they only offered me $6 for a perfectly good phone
Een waardeloos bedrijf met een nog veel slechtere klantenservice
Nooit iets bestellen!
Een bagger ervaring.
I have bought multiple items from here and they are always perfect. Will continue buying from here as long as they are around.
I've only ever ordered one item off of Back Market and they messed up the order. I've received the incorrect item. I sent it back to get it replaced but instead they refunded it when I put down replacement on their website.
Back Market sold me a STOLEN iPhone 13. I am currently dealing with this massive headache of a situation. Basically, my iPhone suddenly stopped getting service so I called my service provider and they informed me that the phone and been reported stolen. The approved Back Market seller stole this phone when it was in transit and sold it to me. Now, Back Market is ignoring my plea for help that they contact their approved seller and make them pay T-Mobile for the phone they stole. Their response was "Sorry to hear that". Are you $#*!ing kidding me?! Don't buy a phone from Back Market because you might end up like me; with a stolen phone with no service. They have absolutely horrible customer service and don't seem to care that a crime was just committed.
I used Back Market this spring to purchase a used Apple iPad. The site offered a good price. The device shipped promptly and works very well. I wish Back Market well in their mission of cutting down electronic waste.
Not recommend this at all... I bought a Macbook charger and after only 7 times of use was death. When this happened I ask for a quick solution which they dont offer... they only allow you to send back the product, so they can check it and then send it back. As I work with my computer and couldn't be a week without it I had to buy another charger, of course not with them. I explain the situation and asked them to refund me, which they send OK but only when I send back the product which I did. After they receive it they told me they wouldn't refund. I insisted a lot as they told me they would, but they didn't mind and they send me another charger without my authorization to an address which was not even the place I was. They didn't give me any solution by mail, and treated me in a very disrespectful way, just repeating same things like robots... Very disapointed of Back Market for not giving any solution and MaFabrik (the provider of the product), which really cheated me telling me lies to manipulate me as a client. Horrible experience.
This business took my money and gave me a very used product when I bought a very mint condition product didn't give me the right product. I ordered AirPod pros with MagSafe charging I got sent generation one AirPods with a regular case. So scared of getting scammed again I'm just gonna keep the regular AirPods and delete the whole app
There was no indication that iPad was about to fail. After 17mos. I would not expect a complete malfunction. I tried to have iPad repaired, "tech" did extensive diagnosis (also "sent-out"for diagnosis) iPad came back unrepairable. Back Market customer service rep. Made me feel "you get what you paid for".
The site has infused personality and humor throughout the whole thing, and its a pleasant shopping experience. I had a good feeling but was nervous, so I was sure to pick something in Excellent condition, and I looked at the reviews for the specific sellers that were selling things I wanted. But it worked out really well for me! I love this phone, and I think it'll last me a few years. It was fairly easy to set up too. My laptop is in bad shape, and I will look to Backmarket when I'm ready to replace it.
This is the most crooked place online! Phone was broken when I got it and still is screwed up! So, I'm going to buy a new one and trade this one in on it. I took it to a repair shop, paid over $200 and said that the data antennae was broken and not working. It would not work on Cellular Data and just keeps searching for WIFI. Even though he put a new antenna in it; it's still doing it and SLOW as hell! If I turn it off; it will turn itself back on and turn my alarm off by itself. I really think that it's possessed, LOL! It won't bring up pictures as it states that it can't "scale the image". I've had it. I've contacted these people over 3 times and no response except for a request to RATE the purchase of this piece of feces. TOTAL RIPOFF!
I was in the market for a lightly used i9 iMac, and Back Market had the model I wanted, at a fair price. I'd never ordered from Back Market before, but after a very quick assessment of the online chatter about the company, I couldn't find anything too egregious about them. I should have done more research. I was sent an older model i5 iMac, of which the market value is close to $600 less than the i9 iMac I had actually ordered and paid for. It's important to understand the Back Market doesn't provide fulfillment or refurbishing, they just provide a haphazard platform where poorly vetted "refurbishers" can open a store, and scam people. After placing the order, my credit card company sent me a fraud alert, which I found puzzling, and okay'd the transaction anyway. I learned later that my credit card company had earmarked Back Market as getting an unusually high number of charge-backs. I also learned that in just 4 short years in business they've racked up almost 250 complaints from the Better Business Bureau (!). They also have ZERO interest in standing behind their platform, or vendors, "mistakes happen" was what the Back Market rep told me. That $600 mistake that is now on me to clear up "just happened" from a Back Market vendor that refurbishes and sells Apple products. Right.
Answer: Bought a refurbed iPhone 11 unlocked, as a Christmas gift. It arrived and I had it activated. I had no problem with the phone. I went to Simple Mobil, and got their 25.00 plan. The phone is in great condition, works great, and I am happy with Back Market.
