Biggest money grab ever
February 7, 2020

Found an ad for babebox on an app for free box, only pay for shipping. Of course I'm going to take that offer! On their site, it clearly states "cancel anytime". After the first box was delivered, I emailed them asking to cancel the subscription, and that's when a woman called Laura Holt emailed me saying I had to keep the subscription for another month "according to their babebox policy", (I've honestly looked high and low for this policy, and can't find it anywhere).
She then proceeds to offer me 15% off and free shipping, basically saving $13. I reply, accepting the offer and saying I will be cancelling after the second month. A few weeks pass, I then get billed for the total a month plus shipping. I obviously email, very pissed off and demanding the refund and she has the decency to say that I never accepted the offer. So not only do they steal from people, they don't include their T&Cs on their site and they're very unprofessional by not replying to emails.
Still waiting for a reply and a refund. Probably be waiting a while.

All that aside, the quality and quantity of the products received are trash. They only use their own brands it's just not worth what they say.

Don't Do It!
February 5, 2020

Scam! I had to report them to my credit card company to stop them from charging me AFTER they agreed to cancel my subscription and refund the current box. I don't even think they are trying to run a legitimate company.

Total Scam
February 2, 2020

They offer you a free box to try, then hide the fine print that says a second box "might" be required, if you happen to click on the "what is this" box.

It's a total scam. The boxes are not worth the subscription price.

Don't bother
January 25, 2020

This company will not reply to your emails to cancel the subscription until you have them blocked from your PayPal or credit card! Horrible service and the products are random brands you've never heard of. Quality of products would be 2/5 and totally not worth your money.

SCAM SCAM SCAM
January 23, 2020

They send cheap bulk asian website makeup that you can get on alibaba for under $3! They are HORRIBLE with customer service. I actually signed up at the end of 2018 and wasn't able to cancel through them but luckily i had paid using paypal and was able to cancel through paypal. It took them a couple months to realize they couldn't process my card and I JUST today got an email from them saying "s you requested, we've cancelled your subscription effective immediately and you will not be billed for future orders." OVER A YEAR LATER! I would typically never write a negative review but they've been trying to charge me for OVER A YEAR when i cancelled AFTER MY SAMPLE BOX - I'VE NEVER EVEN RECEIVED A REAL BOX. TRASH TRASH TRASH TRASH TRASH. If I had used my credit card I would be hiring a lawyer. I feel so bad for everyone having a hard time cancelling.

This company is a total scam! They send you a box full of dollar store crap then give you the run around about cancellation. They also don't have a phone number so the only way of communication is through email. They take a few days to respond which was not convenient at all. Dont bother with this company.

First of all, they scammed me, saying i would receive a "free" box, WHICH I NEVER EVEN RECEIVED. Then, I tried to cancel my subscription because i got charged, BUT THEY WOULD NOT LET ME. They took about 70$ from me, and i have still not received ANY products, even 3 months later! I keep emailing them, asking for my box, but they claim, they can not do ANYTHING about the fact that i have not gotten the box, which they apperantly "sent out", but i got no tracking information for. PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. THEY JUST TAKE YOUR MONEY AND NEVER GIVE YOU ANY PRODUCTS.

This make-up "subscription" service is perfect for you if you LOOOVE throwing money away because that is exactly what you will be doing. What kind of make-up subscription service does not allow you to fill out an intro survey about your skin type, tone or condition, or even asks you what kind of make-up items you are interested in receiving? It's not like the subscription cost $10, you are spending $35 each month (subscription plus shipping)!

I canceled after signing up for the sample box because I realized there was no way for me to tell them about my skin tone or type so I could receive items that would work for me; I hadn't even received the sample box yet. They charged me $35.95 after canceling and sent me a subscription box (it's in the fine print that signing up for sample box means you agree to receive the first month's box). The subscription box felt like the sample box to me, but I can't be sure. I threw the sample box out.

See images for the items I received in the subscription box NOT the sample box. They even give you a price breakdown for each item and I searched the internet for the actual prices of each item:

Almay Pure Blends Eyeshadow $10 - Retail prices $1 - $5.50 at Sam's Beauty, Walmart, BuyMeBeauty and Walgreens etc.

Vincent Longo Perfect Shine Lip Lacquer $15 - NOT in the box. What I received was a "Focallure Lip Pencil/Liner" and prices vary online but Ebay had it for $1.88 and it's available on from Alibaba.

Aesthetica Beauty Sponge $13 - Retail prices $3.97 (Amazon);$8.74 (Walmart)

Aesthetica Strobe Highlighting Kit $40 - Retail price $25 (Amazon)

O. Two O Eyelash Nourishing Essence $7 - $2.89 Aliexpress; $2.25 (Alibaba)

You are pretty much paying for bulk make-up purchased on Alibaba or Aliexpress. This company is scamming as many consumers as they can before word spreads and they go under. They might get away with it because none of us will sue them since it will cost too much to sue. You're better off taking your $35 and going to Walmart or Riteaid.

I signed up for a subscription in November via a promotion which allowed me to receive my first box for free and pay for shipping. Once I received my first box, I was highly disappointed with the quality of the products. The packaging for each product was cheap, the quality of the products themselves were very poor. The products look like they came from a Claire's, not a company attempting to provide reputable beauty products to consumers. I then attempted to cancel my subscription, which can only be done by emailing the company. They do not have a customer service number, mind you. After THREE WEEKS of back and forth communication and speaking with FIVE different employees from the company, not only could they not provide proof that their promotional policy required me to pay for the full price of the first box if I chose to cancel before receiving a second box, but they charged my card a second time WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION. Furthermore, I had it in writing no less than FOUR TIMES that I DID NOT authorize a second charge and requested to cancel my subscription! I have never dealt with such poor customer service, dishonest, and a downright SLEAZY and SLIMY company! Save yourself the hassle and go to Ipsy, FabFitFun, or frankly ANY other beauty subscription company because this company is TERRIBLE. What a joke of a company! The creator(s) should be absolutely ashamed of themselves for their utter lack of professionalism.

From Canada? Dont do it
January 10, 2020

From Canada? Not worth it. Claim 5 full suze products, not the case. Last month got a sample and a 25 cent make up bag. At 50$ for 3 "surprise" products? I would RATHER NOT.

Also, WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Been trying to cancel subscription since december. No response, charged for January even though i was clear in Decemeber that i did NOT WANT JANUARY.

This company is a scam. As soon as you sign up, they are trying to charge your card for a 2nd box. I signed up for a trial box at $1. The box arrived and the products are not worth $30 or anything in that price range. You receive a few items in a box with a lot of shredded paper. After looking at reviews on YouTube, I see that many complained that this company is a scam with products that you can purchase online from China (Aliexpress). Right away I called my bank and got a new card so this company cannot charge me for anymore boxes. Soon thereafter, I start getting emails from some woman named "Kate" in billing stating my card was decline and can I update my payment information. I sent her 4 different emails that I was not impressed with the first box and do not want the subscription or anything to do with the company. It is as if she can't read because she keeps saying I can purchase a second box with a 15 or 30 percent discount, bla, bla, bla. She also stated she "can't" cancel the subscription until I purchase a 2nd box. I will not be coerced into buying anything I don't want and neither should you. Don't fall for it! (By the way, is "Kate" really her name? On the bottom of the email there is a name listed which is not Kate.)

First of all they draw people in with a lie! Everywhere I see this pop up for a one dollar box and cancel ANYTIME. If you pay $1 then I believe you have paid for the first box and then you can cancel, but the company will refuse to let you cancel and they are very rude and manipulative. The box is WAY too expensive at $29.95 plus $6.95 shipping when you can get better products in the allure box for $15/mo and free shipping. If you subscribe with this company you will be disappointed at best and at worst, you will feel robbed and defrauded. This company is not clear and upfront until after you sign up with them, and then they refuse to cancel even when you have received nothing from them. They seem like petty thieves to me.

Cheap products
December 24, 2019

Your first box is ok. You get what you pay for. $6.00 with if products. Read fine print. You HAVE buy a 2nd box. $30.00. You can't cancel till you are billed. My 30.00 box the powder you can buy on ebay for $2.99 they claimed its worth 18. My shimmer stick right from manufacturers 8.00 they claim 26.00 the cosmetics bag cheap. Other 2 item even cheaper. Total cost if I bought everything buy myself without them. Maybe 20.00 so why charge this much? Only because they can. Ripoff company. Here is my card of how much they claim look it up yourself
