I ordered flowers for a friend's 96th birthday three weeks ago, and they were not delivered to the recipient as Ava's Flowers reported they were. I have responded to email and text messages prompting a review, and I've spoken to three different service people by phone to report the error and request a full refund and have received absolutely no acknowledgement that there was an error and they're prepared to make me whole on it. They seem prepared to keep my money — about $100 — and do nothing to fix the problem. I will never ever use this service again, and I'll spread the word far and wide.
I ordered from Ava's thinking they were a florist local to my friend's house. I sent her flowers to cheer her up. I didn't discover that it was on online service until after I placed my order. I placed my order early in the day, but was contacted early afternoon and told that the florist couldn't deliver same day. I was promised a refund of $15, which has not yet come through, but it has not been 5 business days yet. I was promised next day delivery, but was contacted again in the early afternoon to learn that they still couldn't be delivered. As I was speaking to them, my friend showed me that she received the arrangement. It was a very beautiful arrangement, and very close to what I ordered. (It wasn't exact). The low rating is due to the multiple uninformed contacts from Ava's flowers. I shouldn't have to contact the place I ordered from to inform them that the flowers I ordered were delivered. I will not use this service again. I recommend contacting local florists directly if possible.
This company sucks. I ordered flowers for same day delivery and they didn't get to address requested until the evening of the next day. They tried argue me down that they delivered the flowers. After digging deeper the representative said oh we did not deliver. Then the order comes and it looks nothing like what I ordered.
They do NOT deliver what you order & pay for. I paid a lot for the flower bouquet I wanted sent to my daughter, but they just sent what they wanted to. Then have the audacity to not fix the issue.
They sent the wrong bouquet forgot the balloons I pd. For and delivered the after it was supposed to. $73
When I contacted AVAS Flowers, the first question I asked was, "are you a local florist"? I was told they are a local florist. LIE #1. I then asked if it was possible to have a dozen roses delivered early in the day (I called just after 9:00 AM). I was told that the arrangement would be prepared right away and delivered as soon as it was ready. LIE #2. At around 1:30 I called again, and was told that the arrangement would be delivered by 3:00. LIE #3. It was finally delivered about 3:45, and they were short roses. I asked the delivery person why they were so late, and he told me that the order stated "deliver before 7:00". I believed that the roses would be long stem (considering what I paid), but they were short roses. Needless to say, I would NEVER use this company again, and I encourage anyone ordering flowers to use your local florist,and stay away from AVAS!
BUYER BEWARE! Ordered beautiful bouquet for $100. Was delivered 2 days late and it was a cheap $14 mason jar w/6 carnations in it from Safeway grocery store and delivered by Instacart. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY! See pics below. What they delivered and what I ordered from website

Placed an expensive order on January 22 for a Valentine delivery to a very important person way early enough! Only to receive an email at 7:45 pm the evening before Valentines stating the order had been cancelled and money refunded! Why the night before? No time to make other arrangements! A very crappy way to do business! No excuses with an order placed that early in advance! Do not ever use this flower company and please don't make the same mistake i did READ THE REVIEWS ON THIS FLORIST!
I ordered a large arrangement, there were maybe12 flowers. Paid extra for delivery by 2pm, they couldn't tell me when to expect the delivery and asked for an alternate address. After paying 95.00 with no guarantee of when they would arrive, I had to ask my co-worker, who was leaving and I'd never see again, what her home address was, because the surprise flowers I got her would not arrive on time. I was frankly embarrassed at what showed up, over an hour later, and was beyond upset at what I paid for a few flowers. I could have gotten something much nicer at a grocery store.
I would not recommend and I will never use this sorry excuse for a company. When I contacted them for assistance, I was continually put on hold, the entire conversation for over 40 minutes with 90 % of that being on hold. I was offered a $10.00 discount on my next order for their incompetent services. 100.00 credit would not get me to use this company again...
I ordered a small bouquet for my elderly Mother.
The item was $40.00 they added a $10.00 delivery which was OK. Then a $40.00 processing fee. And a $15.00 BS FEE.
WHAT A ROP OFF
This business should be closed, the absolute worst service ever. I ordered flowers to be delivered to my sister in a major hospital following major surgery. Then the string of emails and excuses for delays from Avas followed. I received false promises for delivery time and repeated excuses for delays. I spent too much time on the phone trying to respond to their requests (e.g., the first one was during the time frame the delivery was to occur when they emailed me to contact them, and then the representative explained that they needed a backup delivery address just in case -- if that was required why not ask on the order form rather than delay the whole process?). I then spent at least an hour with Avas trying to cancel. To top it off, after canceling and receiving confirmation of the cancelation, days later Avas sent me an email confirmation for placing the same order with them! Never in a million years would I have placed another order with this organization and I now fear I will never get my refund. I have no trust in them or what they will do next. They are either very disorganized and need to get their act together, or highly unethical.
Ordered flowers for Valentines Day, ordered 4 days in advance. They were never delivered, although they claim they were. Called my CC company to stop payment, the operator said, wow, you're the second call today about AVAS FLOWERS. This company is really a scam. Google should not allow it to come in so high up on the search.
NO STARS…Do not buy from this company. They will rip you off. They SEND YOU FLOWERS they want you to have and not what you ordered. And the flowers are a lot cheaper. I ordered my wife a beautiful arrangement that cost nice money and they sent me flowers that look like they came off the street. It took a while before they picked up the phone when I called them. They said they would call by the end of the day. Instead, They sent another set of flowers. We had no idea the flowers were coming. AGAIN, not what I ordered and the arrangements look cheap. Never got a phone call back

I ordered a special bouquet for my wife for Valentine's Day/our first ever Anniversary (we were married last year on the 14th). Not only was the delivery not made on the 14th, but I was not contacted about this until the following day, the 15th in which I received an email stating the delivery would be made 3 days late on the 17th because "the arrangement I ordered was not available". No one called me day of to inform me of this or to ask if an alternate arrangement would be suitable if it meant being delivered on time. I then received another email stating that delivery was attempted on the 17th but could not be made. Well sorry for them, but I have a ring camera and there was NO attempted delivery. It's now the 19th, 5 days later, and the delivery has STILL not been made.
Ava's flowers is a JOKE and does not know the meaning of the term "customer service." Use someone else.
Answer: Scam! They are not a local company, they cannot deliver, and if they do, apparently they are completely wrong or dead flowers. They don't want to deliver flowers for you... they are after your $30 service fee. They hope you cancel your order and they keep the fee. STAY CLEAR! No customer service and a website full of legalese... can you appear any more fraudulent? A scam, a fraud, a company that uses COVID-19 and your mother (Mother's Day) to steal money from the public. They need to be in jail.
