AT&T Reviews Summary

The reviews reflect a predominantly negative perception of the company's overall reputation and customer service. Customers frequently express frustration with long wait times, ineffective support, and unresolved billing issues, leading to a sense of distrust and dissatisfaction. Complaints about unauthorized charges and poor communication from representatives are common, suggesting systemic problems in service delivery. While there are occasional mentions of product reliability, the overwhelming sentiment indicates that customers feel neglected and undervalued. This pattern points to a pressing need for the company to improve its customer service protocols and enhance accountability to regain consumer trust.

I have been with AT&T for years over 15 at least, and my whole family is with them. In a pandemic they no longer offer any grace period on paying your mobile service. I am self employed and I noticed they have tagged a late fee on my account of $7 ever month, even when I pay the next day. I owe them no money and there is no past due amount, but if you pay the next day it's consider past due. The customer service rep. Told me in July of 2020 guys they stopped their Grace period Really! In a Pandemic were the world is hurting At&T says WE Don't Care we just want your money. I was also told the payment was not being posted until days later. Now I pay online through AT&T account it says the day you are paying but they do not post your payment until days later and the say it is the customers fault. I think not I bank with Chase they have all my account information for years now but it's my fault they do not post the payment. SUCH A SCAM I am through with them.
When you find out a company no longer cares about the customers guys its time to get the hell out of there. It is to many providers that would love to have your loyalty especially now,

This is the absolute WORST business customer service we have ever experienced. From either very poor or zero communication with us or across departments, there has been little to no follow up on anything! From the get go, phones were linked to the owners personal account, conflicting information was provided, and the whole transaction was devoid ANY useful assistance. We received our phones a MONTH after set up with them. We are an extremely busy healthcare clinic and when our phones were down over 12 hours (vs. The 2 hour expectation given) we not only missed a huge amount of business, but also potentially missed very important or even life threatening calls. After all of that, this is where the nightmare actually began! The multitude of reps we've been passed around to in various different departments either "can't find" or verify our account (even with phone numbers, "corrected" account number and fan pin and all IN HAND), only to either pass us on to some other obscure useless department, or conveniently "lose the call" in transfer (and believe me, we tried both the honey AND vinegar approach). While trying to configure our phones, one which came broken, with no overnighted replacement as promised (yep. Still waiting on it!) and after countless HOURS spent on the phone trying to get features set up we have still yet to talk to one human being that seems to give a flying f$%@ to be of any assistance. And the best part? Our caller ID comes up with the office managers FULL NAME- rather than the business name! If you want to keep your sanity AND money in tact- DO NOT CHOOSE AT&T AS YOUR BUSINESS SERVICE PROVIDER!

I have AT@T (DirecTV, Internet & phone) for 25 months and tried to cancel it now. Since I read about the problems terminating DirecTV by calling in I decided to send a certified cancellation letter to AT&T P. O. Box 5093, Carol Stream, IL *******-5093 (that's where the monthly bill is issued and sent from). I did this on Oct. 29,2020. Today is Nov 21 and I'm still without a response (I explicitly requested a confirmation).
My contract expires on the 24th each month. Since we get close to this date I called AT&T *******020) yesterday 4 times without success. After the automated response I was 5 times transferred to an agent. 4 of these agents hung up after they noticed that this was a service cancellation request, but I did NOT give up. The fifth call eventually was partially successful. The agent accepted the service termination, but kept me on the line for 45 minutes. I was told there are issues with the porting of the phone number. Then she didn't wan't to keep me on the line any longer and promised to call back in 15 minutes - the time was a quarter to 4. You guessed it and I did too - no return call last night (Friday), BUT before the call ended I asked her for a termination confirmation number and I got it. Whether it's a valid number I'll find out should AT&T continue to charge my credit card. In this case I can dispute the charge and let the credit card company take care.
I had minor issues with cable in the past, but cancellation (NO contracts) is easy. This was the first time I went with AT&T - never ever again - and that's for sure!

HORRIBLE
November 17, 2020

When you are given the option for English or a different language and you choose English you should be able to speak with someone that actually can speak English... Have been passed from person to person for the past three hours then on hold for 45 minutes just to be hung up on then when I tried to call back of course it's closed. So glad I swapped from them to Verizon

Weird company
November 12, 2020

Are they paid by the hour they waste customers' time? Incompetent, dragging it out, and although I called customer service of At&T I saw a different company name on display of my phone. What's going on?

Don't use ATT. Absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life. I would rather shoot myself in the face than have to speak with their customer service team ever again.

Great ATT store
November 7, 2020

The ATT Store at 7573rd Avenue, Jasper, IN, has some EXCELLENT staff. I've been there twice this week and they were sooo helpful and informative. They helped our family purchase new phones, get the best rate for us, helped me order them, and today set them up for use. It only took 37 minutes today for setting up two phones! I HIGHLY recommend Kyra and Sydney. Great job ladies! THANK YOU!

Litterally always the the worst feeling to know I have to contact customer service at AT&T, usually the worst experience of my month (or 3-4 months hopefully). Good luck connecting to an actual human, and if you do theres about an 11% chance they speak fluent english. I must say in-store wireless service representatives are generally very helpful. But they aren't always open, neither can everyone always make it into the store during their normal business hours. You wait 10minutes on hold for them service provider to make your experience take 10 times longer than it needs to. HEYY AT&T,,,, PAY your customer service better, and learn how to train, and then maybe you'll have better workers who actually give a care

My Internet was down and after an hour on the phone I was transferred to tech support. They offer free home security equipment and I kindly refused and said I don't won't to add a bill. The AT&T tech service hung up on me. I called back and told the lady what happened. She told me At&T employees cannot transfer customers to tech support so we cave to call and then she hung up on me. I was with Verizon for 15 years and this is why I left them. No one I have felt with through AT&T customer support has helped or fixed an issue. It's sad and pathetic

I have been a loyal AT&T customer for over years and years. Recently, I made some changes to my account and the representative clearly told me that there are no changes with my bills. I received a bill with a double amount of the bill I would have paid. Called customer service and the representative was so rude and refused to solve and understand my issue. I am not shocked that many other customers have the same issue. Never going back to AT&T.

Terrible, I was lied to in every aspect. I switched from Verizon because they said bill would be $20 a month cheaper than Verizon when regular bill takes place in a couple months. Ended up at the same price. While I was waiting for my first normal bill, I was talked into getting AT&T TV with salesman saying that it required one box and my other TVs would work with Roku, went home set up with box and found that it didn't work with Roku. Returned next day and cancelled TV service only to find that they continued billing me for 6 months. I will switch to another carrier as soon as I can and never deal with AT&T again.

We have been customers for over 10 years. No issues, really. Until a few months ago when two personal email accounts have somehow become connected. Only one person can log in to their email at a time. When they can't and need to reset the password, the passwords on BOTH accounts are washed. Once you log out, you need to call them AGAIN to reset the password. This is turning into a daily basis! 6 times so far today and I have been "disconnected" 3 times! THEN, I receive an email stating our account has been removed and cancelled but when I call, they say it's still active. I am losing our on job opportunities, requests for interviews, ect because I cannot log in! I have had enough!
