Lack of communication

I spent over 3 hours trying to fix internet and cable service with att.
Im thinking about leaving att can't get no internet wi fi and cable on my tv.
I paid 167 for internet wifi and 149 for direct tv stream both theough att and no one could connect my services after three hours of trying to enter my password.
Now i have wait 24 hours to have inernet and cable on my tv.
Att is not what they say they are

My phone not compatible

This all started when cell phone companies started to charge full price for phones. Like they don't make enough money. Now at&t wants to tell me what phone I can use... Screw em!

Please stay away

They are the worst company to ever deal with. I switched over to them from sprint but baby was that the worst choice ever. I should have stayed where I was I have a buy account and I pay about 400 dollars a month I have also added protection for my devices and home and they literally have no loyalty. They don't stand behind there word. Quick to take your money but don't stand behind what they promise. I changed my lil brothers number because he was being bullied in school and they charged 36 dollars for a first time number change. STAY AWAY FROM THEM AT THIS POINT ID RATHER GO PREPAID. The representatives hang up in your face and don't call back they tell you anything to get you off the phone and always have a way to charge you for something new. The bill never stays the same.

AT&T customer service

After several phone calls to them and several times of them telling me my phone was fine on their network as a factory unlocked phone they turned it off anyway. Also it won't even call 911 so apparently they fried the entire phone. It's brand new. They have been deceiving and left out important information every time I called them. As compensation they offered a terribly small discount on a completely inadequate phone that was nowhere near as good as the phone they turned off. They also turned on some phone we didn't even have saying it was a replacement even though we didn't ok it. So all my stuff got sent to some complete stranger wherever this phone was. All with pretty much no apologies. AT&T is the let down of the century for me. I should ad we are Never behind on paying.

We decided to switch our home and business internet services from ATT to another provider because of constant problems with the internet. I called to cancel and the process takes a long time. We paid the final bill over the phone. I finally got it done and they told me to turn in the equipment to the FedEx store by a certain date. I took the equipment the next day and it wasn't in the system as cancelled so they couldn't let me turn it in? I called from the store and they said it had not been put in correctly and so I spent a LONG time again getting it cancelled again. Long story short I went through this SEVERAL times and each time took FOREVER on the phone while they researched it etc. Meanwhile they kept sending new bills. I can't tell you how many hours I spent on the phone with them. Finally, I mailed them a certified letter with the confirmation numbers and dates of each contact and that I didn't owe them anything. Needless to say, I didn't hear from them for a few months and just started receiving correspondence and phone calls from a collection agency. I swear. I will NEVER pay them.

Run the Other Way!

Horrid experience, starting with those very pushy guys standing at Sams. Many things he said were untrue, decided to send ordered, unopened phones right back after seeing all the bad reviews, and I have had untold awful hours on the phone ever since, after AT&T activated one of the unopened phones that was returned. (They have proof it was returned and "don't know how that happened") Each time they transfer you to another person, you have to tell the story over again. It has been a nightmare and I will never ever go with AT&T again.

As a longtime AT&T U-verse customer, I switched my wireless service to AT&T in early December 2021. I have not seen a wireless bill - but i signed up for autopay so they are being paid - I cannot successfully log into my wireless account, cannot merge my accounts, cannot get assistance via customer "service".
Wait times are 30 minutes to get the first line help with no short cut knowing this person cannot help me. Once they realize they cannot help me, I'm switched to another level of help (today i heard the group was the Digital Assistance group) but in every case, no one picks up by the time reaches 1 hour. I work full time so dont have more than an hour a day to spend on hold. Today was my 3rd day doing that.

Bad Customer service

1.5 hours on the phone with an English challenged phillipino who told me they would mail a chip to me to get started. Next day I received a cancellation email. I called and they were lost and had no idea why. If I was willing to go through it again I could get one. I chose to stay with bad Customer service at Verizon. Good Luck with AT&T you'll need it.

Horrible

Sketchy business practices, horrible customer service they hire from India for a cheap price. Did you know if you are in a family plan you pay less for having more lines, however what they don't tell you is that when you add a new line in the middle of a billing cycle they will charge you those extra days the line is open at full price. That means if you pay $30 for their lowest unlimited plan while in a family plan, you will instead be paying the full $75 unless you know to add a line the very same day your billing cycle starts.

Disrespectful service

Called to have internet set up. An hour later I was done & had been told my internet modem would be delivered in 2 days time. On the 3rd & 4th day I was told the modem would be delivered that day. The 5th day I canceled service to go with another provider & the modem showed up in the mail. After figuring out my complex only deals with AT&T as a provider I called again to have the service set up, letting them know I had a modem & didn't need a new one sent. After several reminders & being told My request was understood AT&T continued to send another modem despite my request. The person who was supposed to come set up the modem also didn't show up until 2 hours later. After having the internet set up I did not get the mbps I was promised. They charged me a fee for a service on a specific date & failed to provide the service I paid for or do it remotely close to the date promised.

The service in this company is absolutely horrendous. Made me and my family go through a lot of extra trouble since no one ever picked up the phone, making us drive to a store close by to stop our service, since we don't want to deal with you people anymore.

Passing the ball

AT&T and Asurion are companies NOT to be trusted. I had a problem with my iPad and Asurion sent me a replacement, however, the replacement they sent me was defective so I ask them to send me a return label so I could return the defective replacement, I also requested that they cancel the transaction and return my original device, I have since returned the defective device but neither Asurion or AT&T is taking responsible for the return of my iPad. They both took my money and now they have my iPad, what would you call this?

Unlock phone

I have sent the unlock dept a request to unlock my mobile which I paid for in full but unfortunately they aren't responding to my request
I called customer service I'm being tossed left and right I need my mobile unlocked by the way the customer service reps are horrible

RIPPED OFF

Jumped my basic package up $50. Claimed I was on an entertainment package now and my promotion ran out and I have a contract. Cancelled the service even though they are making me pay a cancellation fee. Worth paying to get rid of them. Will be putting dish network on the RV and getting rid of direct TV all together. It has gone down hill and doubled in price since A T & T bought them anyways! Thank goodness I didn't switch the cell phones over to them!

My mom died and they said that they were going to cancel all charges. Then they sent a letter that they were going to go to a collections agency. So I get on the phone to clarify this and they send me through phone h*ll. I was transferred from department to department over 10 times! HATE THIS COMPANY! Worst customer service.
