Having decades of Retail experience, i can honestly say that.'AT&T has all around *Profoundly Crappy* Service!" Doesn't really matter which service/experience, whether in person. Or on the phone. They really should advertise that they just want to suck you dry. Cause that; s how you'll feel at every turn with them. Very lax when it comes to solving issues. Like they're looking for any reason to dismiss whatever the issue is. The term *Valued Customer* should only be used when they actually *Mean it.* The wait mes when you call about anything, the number of times you get transferred to someone e4lse only to explain everything all over again. I guess they've outsourced their customer service department, so often times you get someone with with such a heavy accent, or such a poor connection that it's a struggle to understand them. I could go on, but I don't have all day. Too bad there isn't a No-Star rating...

Unreliable
April 11, 2022

This company is not worth the frustration. Once a month their towers go out…. I work from home and I use AT&T internet, and when these towers go out you are without service off and on for about a week or two. Their customer service is extremely irritating and are so generic with their answers. They never truly answer the question that you ask, they beat around the bush and give answers that I'm positive are read off of a script. If you are looking for a cheap carrier service this is the one…. Just keep in mind You get what you pay for, they are not only cheap in their prices but cheap in their service. My husband was fortunate enough to get out and he has no issues from the carrier he switched to.

Lost American Values
April 10, 2022

At one time respect and integrity meant something in America! In the case of ATT these values are long gone! The customer means nothing to ATT Whatsoever! They could care less if you are a customer or not. They care about what is best for them and if you get run over in the process, so be it! I would give the company negative stars if this was an option! If one does not have to go with these people then do not they could care less about you! Use any other provider if you possibly can! This includes Via-Sat as well!
We had set up Via-sat and the person of whom we spoke to flat out lied to us. They lied on direct questions as well as, providing false information about pricing. Back to ATT we live in a rural area and they seem to know that we have no other option so they take advantage of you! Essentially, they kick you when your down. We have had 3 different installations set up and have not had anyone to actually even come out! Instead of moving you back an hour or to they put you back in line a week or two down the road when having 2 weeks or more to make the original appointment. When my wife and I tried to speak to a manager they were conveniently all busy? The call center people wherever they are don't even speak English to where they are understandable. My last call I talked to 4 people and could not understand any of them without having to ask what they said numerous times. ATT is an example of what shouldn't ever take place when conducting business with anyone. If ATT was a person you would defiantly not want them as a friend or even an acquaintance because they have no morals or integrity and one couldn't expect anything good to happen as a friend.

Unbelievable
April 9, 2022

I was happy with Family Mobile and 30g hotspot without ever being charged anything extra and decent service most places that I frequent anyways. My phone broke and I was stupid to listen to a random Walmart rep that claimed if I got at&t, I could switch over my old number and he/she? Lol assured me it was a good phone for being cheap like the one I had and was trying to get again. He said t hgv ey were out of that but I could get at&t same quality phone and be able to switch my number. This is where I messed up good for not trusting my instinct and logic! Little did I know that thos phone would be the absolute worse phone I've ever owed x10! At&t model # U318AA. Wasn't expecting much for being a cheap phone but my other family mobile phone in same price range was 10 x better. Couldn't switch my number. "at&t actually laughed" and said "who told you that?!" Always trust your instinct! I felt pretty dumb... Don't get f***** like I did! In addition to the scammer salesman that sold me this trash, At&t also kept adding $10 every other day for going over their pitiful data allowance! No joke. Then woke up to my phone's service disconnected and saying they want $120 something just to turn back on just for the first f******* month LMAO Oh and that $40 would be added on to next bill for reconnection fee and who knows whatever other fees they co. E up with!
Needless to say, I'm very done with them. How at&t is even in business is beyond me. People have no idea just just how bad they're being ripped off. This is the second review I've ever wrote and I'm 38 but I'm really pissed that this company gets away with this s****

Hot garbage
April 9, 2022

Dropped calls and throttled service if you don't buy the highest level. Unlimited is meaningless with them as they just throttle you back indiscriminately unless you pay rates on oar with Verizon. And they suck too, just not as bad as AT&T. I'm truly remorseful for buying the S22 Ultra and that is compounded with the sewage that is the service of AT&T.

I signed up for service about a month ago the tech came over and installed and set everything up. They didn't mention to change the User/Pass on the Modem. Within a month i had my computer hacked and multiple credit cards used by crooks.

The only people who could know these passwords and user ids are WITHIN the company. Its either the installation guys or someone with access to that info on the modem which could be ANYONE as they have a sticker on the modem with that info.

Don't trust anyone that works for ATT.

One hit wonder
April 7, 2022

I purchased a mobile hotspot device, from Walmart but through AT&T's service. It cost me 100$ for the devise and 55$ for the 100gb on a prepaid card. You know the ones. I thought this was an amazing deal. I had been so clever to create a solution to my pesky no internet or Wi-Fi problem. The hotspot worked like a dream. For 6 days. I had not anticipated running through 100 gb of data in less than a week. Between two ppl. But according to the message I received on the device, prompting me to log in to AT&T prepaid.com and add more data. I've tried that route. Because my phone number is not associated with AT&T it runs me into a wall. I returned to where I purchased the device and card originally and they had no cards and couldn't answer me If I added 55$ to my prepaid account would it count for the 100gb I have called several AT&T stores. I've visited another two Walmarts. I've looked online for cards off eBay and Amazon. I can't find anything that will work. Oh and I spent an hour and a half today on the phone with the AT&T customer service number for prepaid accounts only to have my call dropped, disconnected and my personal favorite, TRANSFERRED TO DIRECT TV ( his specialists) after he gave me attitude for "calling him when he doesn't even work prepaid". I gave up after having to call back a fourth time, only to be given a completely different number to call by one of the ppl who answered after a very long hold. This device is awesome, while it lasts. I can't really see what other options I have except to get a Straight Talk device and buy their monthly top-up cards. They're always in stock.

Run away!
April 6, 2022

After 20 years I am glad to switch to a different carrier. Paid $160 for 4 lines and a watch. Called to remove 1 line, confirmed the new payment will be $135, just to learn that I was transferred to the new plan and new plan is $190 for 3 lines and a watch. Why should I pay more for less. Numerous calls, one unprofessional rep after another. With all the@@@ service, there is no mystery of so many switched customers.

If I could rate them "0" I would,
I made a banking error resulting in an overpayment of $1450. By the time I realized my error, the funds had been withdrawn from the account. It has been 2 weeks of dealing with absolute incompetence from the Philippines, culminating in my receiving a debit card from an ATT owned bank for the refund. DEBIT CARD! I was told I would be getting a check. Now I have spent more time with the Phillipino staff- I attempted to register the card! So I could request a bank tanker which would take 2- three days. Only one problem. The "system wasn't working". I have now requested a check which will take another 2 weeks. Unbelievable. Do not do business with ATT. They are beyond terrible.

They automatically added damsung earphones as free. Then charged for them. Completely botched the order, fixed part of it. Then lied about fixing the part for the other line. I finally talked to one honest CSR rep after days of efforts and cancelled the whole thing before they completely screwed up our phone lines

I had AT&T about 5 years ago and cancelled due to my bill being drastically different each month from $100-$200 difference. They push you to do automatic payments but would not recommend with this company. I switched back to Verizon Wireless for a couple years and decided to give AT&T a second chance due to their first responder discount. Everything has been fine but service is spotty. Well... I just moved on 3/31 and was set to get my internet moved to the new house on 4/2. The representative stated everything was good to go. Within in an hour of me placing the new order I got an email stating my order has been put on hold and to call them back. I called them back and was placed on hold for about 8-9 hours amongst 3 days for them to figure out the issue. Then come to find out the people did not know how to do their job and messed up my whole account causing them to cancel my original account and had to set me up a different one. I then was told I would have internet on Tuesday 4/5 and got an email today stating my order was cancelled after receiving a confirmation text stating they will be at my house on 4/5. Again, I had to make another phone call for them to tell me then order is still good to go for Tuesday, but I needed to register my account. Well... when I try to register my account there is an error and was told it could because my "internet service." I have no idea if I will get internet on Tuesday or not. It should not be complicated transferring internet from one place to another especially when your a current customer. If my internet is not here on Tuesday I will definitely be switching internet and cellphone providers. With being super pregnant and moving something that should not be stressful made my moving extremely stressful.

Bad advertisement.
April 2, 2022

AT&T has this promotion for anyone to turn in any phone in any condition to get a new S22. What they don't state or advertise clearly is that it is only for new customers. Very disappointing. Had they stated it clearly I would have e saved myself the disappointment and embarrassment. Apparently we don't count. Very frustrating to deal with and a too good to be true at. I am going to have another company buy out my contract and deal with a more upfront and honest company

Truth be told, I had one of if not the WORST experience with AT&T. I got this iphone 13 ordered over the phone, told the representative that I do need a phone number, I just need the iphone, made sure He CONFIRMED THAT just letting everybody know. The representative told me that I will get the iphone with a temporary phone number that's gonna be deactivated once I receive the phone. DID NOT HAPPEN.
I called AT&T right away, explained that I do not need the number, went to their store, spoke to a manager over there and over the phone; filed a case and got a case number, tole me that it's gonna be canceled in a 7-10 business days, DID NOT HAPPEN.
And here I am calling them now, and they're basically saying there's nothing they can do.
I WILL HAVE TO PAY 30usd/month for a phone number I AM NOT GONNA BE USING, FOR A PHONE NUMBER I ALREADY ASKED FOR ITS DEACTIVATION A MILLION TIMES.

THIS IS BAD SERVICE! ACTUALLY PRETTY CLOSE TO A FRAUD

I made the mistake of going to an authorized dealer. I have the up next program where you can turn your phone in for a different one after you pay 50% of it off. I had one remaining payment of $23.42. When I got to the store and picked out the new phone, I asked if I only needed to pay the last installment and she said yes. Later that night as I was looking through emails, I realized that she charged me for the pay off amount of the phone. Since then, customer service number has told me something different every time I talk to them. Some of them are extremely hard to understand. Asked for a manager and they said that she will call me. She never called. I never had these problems at Verizon. I only left because the pushy people that were set up at Target said they could reduce my phone bill in half.
