Complaints about unauthorized charges and poor communication from representatives are common, suggesting systemic problems in service delivery. Paying the amount of money that we do and getting terrible service in return is ridiculous. When calling customer service about my concerns, they basically told me there was nothing I could do other than sign up for auto pay. Who in their right minds these days can sign up for auto pay for over $430 a month bill? That's trapping us even more and making it their way even more. Not to mention there was no help or resolution on the better service. It's not just my phone it's the service coverage in general. I know when my phone says 5G and all bars, that I have no service. I know when I go into certain parts of my home that I'm going to have bad service. I know when I go into certain parts of the city, I have no service and my phone is virtually useless. If it wasn't for my connecting to WIFI calling from my home internet, I wouldn't be able to have clear calls! This is ridiculous that they trap us! I work from home my phone is needed.

I've AT&T internet & cellular service for years. Last time with them was in '19 & '20. As i live in two states where residence in one is not in AT&T turf and AT&T requires one year contract, i've to pay them 6 months vacation fee which increases from $7 to $9 at beginning of contact to 6 months later. Also AT&T canceled the prorated usage days at cancellation (which i found out later googling) without sending me paper or email notice. When the year contract (actually 18months due to vacation) ends, i cancelled around a week after starting date & was billed for full month. I tried to talk with them online & on phone but they ignored. AT&T has transferred their claimed balance to a billing service company who wouldn't respond to filed explanation.

Another thing is AT&T former free or subsidized cell phone & tablet service. They locked the device such that you can't purchase pay&use simcard when at overseas, also around 2.5 half years, their free/subsidized phone/tablet won't work. AT&T claims device obsolete, in fact, AT&T just deleted the boot-up website such that ur device won't start. By removing the hidden AT&T simcard and reset device to factory status, device can still work with wifi.

HORRIBLE
April 25, 2022

NEVER USE AT&T THEY ARE HORRIBLE. I have always had issue with them and they keep charging me money and turning my phone off without reason. Everytime I call in or use their chats they are saying oh its fixed or I put it in your chart what we are doing and it is NEVER NEVER NEVER in there and i'm just pushed off to pushed over and hung up on. YOU WAIT 30 PLUS minutes on hold to get a 5 second phone call for them to say we can't do anything for you. SUPER Unhappy with them and they will not give me a supervisor or anyone to deal with. I don't see how in the world they can be ever credited for being a "GOOD PHONE COMPANY" I would not recommend them what so ever to anyone.

The customer service is a joke. No one speaks English and no one wants to help you. For 3 days now I been dealing with a phone that all of a sudden has no service and nobody knows why. I been to the store twice, talked to 4 different people there including a manager, and talked to 5 different people from customer service including 3 managers and my phone still is not working, and has not been replaced. A phone I have a warranty on, a warranty that they have tried to deny and charge me for. I filed the warranty and paid for express shipping for a 2 day delivery, now the tracking number says it won't even be shipped out until a month from now. I am so aggravated with this company. This is very unprofessional and wrong. I will be canceling my service!

ATT buys up good companies that have great customer service, where it is easy to reach a human, that are easy to work with, that offer reliable and dependable and quality service, and have a website that is a DREAM to do what you need to do - and then ATT buys it and absolutely ruins every single thing that made that company succeed, and they do it every time so its intentional.

They likely think they will make us think its the company they are deliberately ruining's fault so that we will think better of ATT as a service.

Well here's a newsflash ATT - you aren't ruining my opinion of your competition - you are reaffirming ALL the reasons why I literally DESPISE your company for all times.

LET US HAVE CHOICES. I will NEVER EVER EVER CHOOSE YOU. And every time you go out of your way to buy up and dismantle and ruin a company that I prefer over you - you just cement my hatred of anything ATT.

My experience with ATT has to always be confronted with charges for things/options I never ordered or fees that were never quoted. I spent countless hours with their billing department arguing about billing abuses they finally had to correct. Latest offence: they quoted in writting an option that would have brought my monthly bill to $266. I placed the order. Then ATT said sorry now it will be $280/month... I canceled my order and I will now remove all my lines from ATT. When I think ATT I cannot help but think "Crooks".

Deceived
April 21, 2022

AT&T fooled, tricked, deceived me into buying a plan that was too good to be true! At the store I was told that I could give my phone by trade in that was not paid off and I could just keep paying my other service provider for the phone on monthly basis while getting AT&T service. I was made to believe that I would be saving money and was shown how. I sent AT &T two good phones only to receive phones people can bearly hear me on includingwhen I spoke with AT&T customer representatives. Now my other service provider sent me a bill of over $900 for my phone claiming that I wanted to buy it out even though AT&T said it that I could keep paying my other service provider in monthly installments.AT$T sent me a bill of over $ 500 in addition to over paid in taxes 120 and additionally my previous carrier charged 172 for the same month am charged over $500 by AT&T. Am here writing so that no one else gets into my kind of predicament. I have been tossed all over by AT&T and at the end of the run and chase I was told there is nothing they can do. Please run when you see those sales people roaming in Stores like Target, unless you have a bad experience elsewhere. Mine was in the name of saving money but looking at the numbers i have here, my life is now miserable. More so I am so traumatized that I will not even go near Target again!

It's pretty sad that when I call AT&T that I'm literally stuck on the phone for hours being passed around to the same department and not getting any help! AT&T is horrible at resolving issues! The only thing they are good for is taking money and screwing people over! I hate that I work for this company because it's so horrible and I hate I left Verizon for such horrible customer service! DON'T SWITCH TO AT&T nothing but a headache and rip off!

Bought a new z fold 2. It got wet filed claim with insurance. Got replacement less than a month the replacement overheats when charging. Less than a month the replacement has to be replaced. They are telling me they can not because they don't have any and trying to force me to take a lesser phone. Still on hold been on hold over an hour can't get a clear english speaking person on the phone. I HATE AT&T! THEY WENT FROM THE BEST TO THE WORST VERY QUICKLY.

Do Not Sign with AT&T
April 20, 2022

Horrible customer service and even worse cell phone service. Data is almost NEVER working and if I am inside a building, my phone goes straight to voicemail. It is IMPOSSIBLE to effectively conduct business with AT&T "service" in the greater Austin, Tx area.

I did not think it was possible to have worse service than T-Mobile. I was WRONG.

I stopped in to the AT&T store in Lakeway, Tx about such a poor signal and the store atten dant told me it was due to the war in Ukraine. Poor signal quality in Texas because of a war between Russia and Ukraine. It doesn't get much stupider than that.

AT&T should be ashamed of themselves.

Property Damages
April 18, 2022

Att installed a temp line. Almost 6 - 7 days later they had someone come bury a permanent line. In the process of installing permanent line, they cut my guide wires for my robotic mower in several places. Submitted a claim and was told that someone else done that cause other contractors were in the area. No other contractors was working on my internet line in my yard but AT&T. They destroyed and don't take responsibility for the damages. This supposed to be a company of good standards. Doesn't look like it.

ATT store lies
April 16, 2022

I had reached a point where T-Mobile's customer service was just awful so I decided to move over to AT&T. I went into the AT&T store in Lacey, WA and talked to the store manager. After a lengthy discussion what I had learned is that my monthly bill would be around $150 per month. This is the third month and I have yet to see a $150 monthly bill... the first was $271 or so... the second was $440 and the third is $312. I called in to talk to Customer Service and after talking to the front line person I was transferred to another group that custormer dealt with loyalty and was quoted chapter and verse from the AT&T bible of how not to impress customers. After talking to this person and not having her understand my point I asked to speak to a supervisor and to date I have not received a call from an AT&T supervisor. If I had understood how AT&T does business I would have never gone over. My suggestion is not do business with AT&T... go to Tmobile or verizon. Any one of the others are better than AT&T.

Barely functional
April 15, 2022

I don't have the most expensive plan but my internet speeds are meant to be somewhere between 50-100 mb, however I consistently struggle to get more than a few hundred kbps with only one device connected. On top of this it's literally not possible to stream a video start to finish without at least 2-3 minutes of buffering. Frankly I find it shocking they're allowed to call themselves an internet service provider considering their "internet service" doesn't work as often as it does
