AT&T Reviews Summary

The reviews reflect a predominantly negative perception of the company's overall reputation and customer service. Customers frequently express frustration with long wait times, ineffective support, and unresolved billing issues, leading to a sense of distrust and dissatisfaction. Complaints about unauthorized charges and poor communication from representatives are common, suggesting systemic problems in service delivery. While there are occasional mentions of product reliability, the overwhelming sentiment indicates that customers feel neglected and undervalued. This pattern points to a pressing need for the company to improve its customer service protocols and enhance accountability to regain consumer trust.

Poor service
April 1, 2022

AT&T needs to pay better attention to their costumers. I have had to call about all my bills being wrong. I called 4 times before my bill hit for them to fix it and was told lies. If it isn't fixed I will be switching providers and sueing for my loss of money.

I dealt with Chantel a AT&T employee in Georgia and by far the best customer service I never received an AT&T. For some reason I missed the post call review so I need to write this here. I was having reception problems on my Internet box in both of our phones. Chantel directed us how to reset our network settings which made all the difference in the world. She was completely respectful and a sweetheart I hope somehow this gets to her. Thank you

Inconsistency
March 31, 2022

There are more outages than time that my internet is online. I'm fed up with this and not sure if I'm going to use AT&T anymore. I don't not recommend this provider.

Don't be fool, don't sign up for this deal! It is a fake. A AT&T Rep came to our house and stated that if we traded in our phone (she look the phone and approved) we only need to pay the taxes on the phone however we got the bill yesterday and it haves a bill of $800. When went to the store to speak to a rep they couldn't help and stated that they can't accept the phone therefore we owe $800. We have been victims of misrepresentation. We are senior citizens with a fix income. No help at the ATT store at 2000 W Imperial Hwy, La Habra, CA *******

I am done with At&t since they gave me hard time with my Wifi. I kept my home Wifi on hold for few months cuz of moving to another city. So it is 4 months now I keep calling them to cancel my account so I don't have to pay for not using that and they always gave me different excuzes. So not only my account is not cancelled but also there is a big amount in my ballance.
So I never recommend Att to nobody. There are alot more better careers that you can choose them.

I have been trying for 2 days to change my Dad's payment method for his autopay. I have called 611 and the 1800 number. I get an automated message that repeats twice and then hangs up on me. I finally called from my own cell phone and was told the 1800 number was for postpaid and I would have to call another number. When I explained I was getting tired of being hung up on the CS agent, an actual person, hung up on me.

I am just going to let the number die and go to another company. It isn't worth the hassle and disrespect to deal with this company. I will also let everyone I know just how terrible this company treats it customers.

Unlawful collection!
March 26, 2022

Went to 2 corporate offices, no one would help. Called 6x and once on hold, when a representative would pick up, they would say "they couldn't hear me" (after listening to my complaint) and hang up! AT&T has been sending our account to two separate collection agencies. When we called AT&t to tell them that we have the proof they received the phone on time and who they received it from, they said "they were unable to help us'. AT&T is collecting for a phone they received and we have proof they did, STILL they choose to collect $2165. 00! No one in any branch can help (we tried). No one on the phone wants to work and I will pursue to FILE A CLAIM LEGALLY FOR FDCPA Violations if no one clears this up! REGRET ever even trying to be a customer.

Horrible
March 25, 2022

At&t has the worst service and customer service. They lie... They sign you up On a promotion and they give you a price... And when your bill comes it never reflects the amount they tell you it's going to be... And when you call and complain about it... There's absolutely nothing that they can do about it so you're screwed...

After close to 20 years of doing business with AT&T, this will be my last week. All of my family have been loyal customers of AT&T for years. Within the last 5 years AT&T has raised our prices on both DTV and cellular service. If you're lucky enough to talk them down you're on the phone with them again in 2 months doing the same thing. If you call them and ask if you can drop to a lower plan they will help you but they don't tell you if your plan is actually grandfathered in and is actually cheaper than a lower service plan. I had this to happen twice. I'm so done with the price gouging and dishonesty.

In the months of the pandemic i tried numerous times to lower my internet bill as all others had been lowered because of income loss. Nothing could get them to lower my bill. No begging, no information, no government relief effort. I tried every single month since losing that job and was constantly told nothing could be done. Lo, and behold: i was able to get a dofferent internet via t-mobile and called to cancel only to be told they can infact lower my bill. By 50%! Imagine! Not a cent should go to this evil corporation. They should fall to the wayside. We are cash cattle for them and they care not for us.

They block your internet access to China's websites. Never use this. It would be hard to open up Chinese websites. I use my friend's hotspot, he used T-mobile. And I can normally access to those websites.

SWINDLED. O RATING
March 23, 2022

I called AT&T to upgrade one of my phones. A representative on the line whose ID number I will share offered me 2 additional phone Lines for the same price I was paying and even though I asked him 5 times he guaranteed that the price would be the same or within a $10 difference from what I was paying. He guaranteed that I would have the same insurance on the phones that I had had. After the new lines were connected I called to check again on my new service and was told thst not only was there a $50 Increase in the price but the insurance on my two lines were canceled without my consent. I have been with AT&T for over 15 years and instead of being treated as a valued customer I was taken advantage of and actually swindled. Beware AT&T employees are liars and cheats and are only out to make a commission.

Decent & Not Reliable
March 23, 2022

For starters... was usable, after years I found incremental decrease in sustainable usability without buffering and constant lag. Do yourself a favor if on the fence and avoid such constraint 25 mbps paid for and rarely see a fraction from various speed testing. Upload seems to have more actual consistency...

Really unhappy with AT&T; they charge way too much for their services and offer very little. I bought a house in a remote area, and the salesman assured me my phone would work at my new house. The day I moved in, no bars at all. Customer service is dismal with many transfers and little resolutions of problems. Going to cancel as soon as I can and never go back.

Our grandson needed a phone so I decided to add him to our account. We went to the local store and spent a couple of hours (which I expected). Salesman advised me that adding the third line to our account would only raise our bill by $8. He said, while looking at his tablet that we had been paying too much for quite some time. Bill had been $133.00 for months for two lines. Grandson decided on a phone and we were getting things written up. At one point, the salesman asked if we would be interested in a hotspot line, to which we both said NO. Fast forward to bill time. We get our bills online and to say I was shocked when I opened it is an understatement. The bill was $490.00! In looking at the bill, I saw that the hotspot line that I declined had in fact been added to our service. Of course a call was made quickly. Rep "couldn't" remove the charge for HS but did cancel it. After another call or three, I was finally able to get the bill down to $141.00. Latest bill came a couple of weeks ago and it's $286.00. This is clearly much higher than the original "$8.00" that I was quoted in the store and also higher than the $230.00 I was quoted on the phone while trying to lower the obscenely high bill. I am now going to come up with the cash to pay off the G'son's phone and move on to another carrier. To anyone considering ATT, I say Good Luck!
