Att customer service is a joke. All they do is tell you I'm sorry and I understand your frustrations and promise to take care of the problem so it doesn't happen again but I've been fighting with this company for 8 months now and they had the nerve to try to tell me what I ordered and supposedly received, which is completely wrong for I didn't order a phone but by golly they are charging me for the installment payment every month. I've already gone through the fraud department and made a claim. Now since they can't even keep their word after promising to resolve the issue I'm going to end my service with them and find a better company that actually wants to keep it's customers with them and happy. I'm going to try contacting the CEO of att and see what he says.
You get bounced around from customer service department to customer service department Everybody says that is not my area of expertise. I have to transfer you to a different department. Well been a customer for nineteen years And I overstate my welcome.
They're lack of help their rudeness and their inability to hope has drawn the last Straw.
The unfortunate part to all of this is I don't know who to go to.

We tried to get her number switched to charter! Well first they need a transfer pin! So call them to get it and they said the security code is not right when it's printed right here on my bill! So I call customer service from the flip phone they wanted me to and they said that's not the right pin and sent a temporary pin I could not give him due to being on the call the flip phone wouldn't pull up messages and I told the foreigner twice that I couldn't access it! He would not comprehend that! Instead of getting another way he proceeded to repeat the same thing he just said so I told him a 3rd time I couldn't open the message! I finally hung up I was so mad! Hire people that understand English! Not to mention they had her signed up for a business acct when she has never had one! It's a personal phone and they wouldn't change it so they were scamming a senior citizen! Disney from the store signed her up 5 years ago and they have screwed her out of thousands of dollars! She doesn't text or use internet she doesn't know how! So we closed the acct and switched to prepaid! Now we're going with charter and can't get the number transferred to activate it! Around in a circle we go cuz the automated bull$#*! didn't have the option I needed and couldn't get to a representative! Fix your damn systems! So tomorrow we will go to the store cuz your employee doesn't comprehend $#*! on the phone! I'm beyond livid she is 63 years old and doesn't get around well so thank a whole lot for your help AT&T you personally suck! I don't recommend this carrier to anyone and as soon as our contract with our phones is up we are gone too! Customer service my $#*!!
WE ARE LIVING IN WINNETKA CA, *******, Out of nowhere Saturday morning September 2 I find out are internet is dead, now after 4 days which is September 5th evry time I call they make different story, PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM AT&T they are the most unreliable company ever, Iam disable person with cancer, I have a worse time of my life with this company.

I have been on the $40. Monthly UNLIMITED Talk, Text & Web. For yrs. I've NEVER used much Data as I have Wifi. The last 2months I rcvd msg's saying I went OVER my "Data Limit" (3Days after I paid 4my new month)& they were slowing down my data! But it was Stop'd
Same thing just happened this month & instead of saying slow'd dwn, this X they said it was Stop'd! Last month when I called them(& spent nearly 2hrs on the phone)att told me they have no control over the wifi/data. I'm def changing carriers this month! I Dont recommend att 4 Nothing but Trash & Garbage. Call FCC tomorrow 2file complaint!
ATT has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ever! They sell you a plan, they lie, they over charge you for everything, then they come back with, Sorry we did not set up an installment plan like we promised. You now owe a $1000. Seriously? Absolutely the worst! I wish I never moved from T-Mobile.
The employees of this company should sit for an Amazon.com class on customer service. This is a phone company, and when you call them, on your phone, to ask for help, they put you through the ringer, hang up on you, refuse to allow you speak with a supervisor, and in general, don't really speak to customers in a way that helps them understand their unnecessarily overcomplicated system of hoops they have you jump through just to process a payment to them. They are a huge bureaucratic organization where all the people really don't know their a$$ from their elbow. I just spent two hours on the phone tonight trying to have them process a payment. Two hours. Two whole hours. One payment. I spoke to two people, and they both had a different set of rules for verification, as if they are making it up as they go along just to give you a hard time and to get you to use the app and stop calling and bothering them. If that's what they want, fine! I hope the company fires all of their useless customer service agents, and as soon as a company comes up with a better deal where I can use the phone I have now, I will jump from AT&T faster than a sailor on a sinking ship.
Don't use AT&T and if you do, do NOT sign up for multiple lines. 6 years ago my son started a brand new AT&T account. 4 other people (myself included) were looking for new phone carriers so we jumped on his plan. Adding lines is cheaper in the long run right? WRONG. One person dropped off the account before the first year was up, paid off his phone and advised AT&T that he was going with a new provider and the line should be closed. Almost four years ago the couple split up and the ex-girlfriend did the same. Paid off the phone, advised AT&T. Us three remaining, myself and my two sons have been paying an additional $80 per month for phone lines that nobody is using. I personally pay $150-$200 a month for my personal line, paid off phone and $10 insurance (the discrepancy is dodgy accounting and depends on what AT&T feels like charging that month apparently).I price shopped, I could go to Verizon get a mid grade new phone and my own service for about $85 a month. I can't jump ship though because then I leave my two sons paying an extra $40 for MY unused line. Since this all began AT&T has made an additional $4320 in unused/cancelled phone lines on the account. One son (ngl) is unhelpful because he breaks his phone often and when replacing usually upgrades we can't cancel service with the cost of a phone owing. Multiple phone calls have been made but AT&T does nothing to rectify the situation. And it isn't like we had/have a contract. We didn't sign up for a 5 line lifetime commitment with AT&T. Theoretically if phones are paid we should be able to cancel service.The way they do business should be illegal.
I'm not sure how this place actually has customers to keep running! There customer service is despicable, they are trying to scam us and their devices they offer keep on coming in a mangled condition.
First the customer service(Definitely the worst) I don't know how many calls and hours I wasted talking to an unhelpful, rude and troublesome worker in any company before. I made at least six calls, four of which probably exceeded two hours in time. Their workers always hold up on you and once I was held up for 45 minutes before they came back. They are always just trying to market to you and the questions you ask never seem to get answered.
Then, in person, it gets worse. On the outside, they seem helpful, but really, they're not. They put you in the wrong plan, add extra lines to earn more money, they even don't do as you ask. I tried to get several different phones however, instead of it being a fifteen minutes talk, it ends up dragging on for hours, and the phones I receive are broken. Plus a fifty five dollar restocking fee, FOR A BROKEN DEVICE.
What they are doing must change and I definitely can see a difference between at&t and other companies.

We moved into our new buid neighborhood 7/21 & we're supposed to have our internet put in same day.
ATT found out there is no box in the ground to set up our internet- ATT hired 3rd party company to install and said we would have internet in 10 days
Its not been 6 weeks & no internet. No communication from ATT. When my husband and I do call get no where. We have spent hours on the phone- trying to speak with someone who knows something
No help and no internet in sight. ATT is the only company allowed on this block or else we would have already of gone somewhere else due to the poor communication and customer service

Customer Service sucks. Good luck getting live person. They Try to get your money anyway they can. It's a crooked company. Charge for this and charge for that.
Sara at the Business park location is very knowledgable and helpful, when she was not available she recommended Pepper her co-worker who also provided greta support. You both are great. But I must say Sara won my heart with her customer service. Thank you Sara
Be specific you ask? 1. Can't understand the person I'm speaking with, and in the back ground I can hear their tv,kids screaming, dogs barking, it took me 5 hours and I'm still on the ohone with your stupid company, to get service! And I do not know how much longer it will be. The next person I spoke to was not the brightest bulb in the box but they kept getting dimmer and dimmer if you follow me!, ugh. I hate This company, and why do they have 1.62 rating for the last 8 years and Oh that number has not changed!oh my god and they gave me another number to call! Att you are terrible

They will scam you. Stay as far away as possible. You will go through months of disputes in order to get your money back. 0/10. The office president needs to be fully investigated and put in prison.
Purchased 3 phones and paid them off which they can see,but being that I currently have a balance they refuse to unlock any of the phones that are completely paid for. This is so crappy because all that I paid off the phone it's still really not mine.

ATT agreed to not charge me for installation as a new customer. Howevever, when the equipment sent out and I was not satified, I asked for a techinician to come over and do an installation, they charge $150.
We were promised 3 - $250 gift cards totaling $750 to switch to AT&T. After never getting them I tried to contact the AT&T rep that came to our house and promised them and he had quit and went to work elsewhere. The customer service number he gave us to check the status just kept transferring us from one place to another and we never were able to get a live person after weeks of attempts, We are now out $750 with no answers from AT&T. Now they've closed that dept. There goes $750 we counted on for bills out the window based on a false promise. They also promised our 3 phones were 100% free for switching and now we are finding out that was not true either. I've honestly never felt more taken advantage of and helpless. They should be ashamed of themselves. The only positive was the associates at the Jefferson Rd location were very professional and polite even through an uncomfortable conversation but they could not help either.
Gabriella dealt with a very frustrated me in a very professional manner and helped me get my problem resolved. At+t on the other hand gets no stars for their handling of my issue. Not very customer friendly.
Answer: Terrible service, this is the worst service I've ever had. Canceled all services with this company after my customer service experience. Customer service is horrible, their service in general is horrible, and they don't offer anything I can't get at any other competitors store. I wouldn't recommend service or work with this company, they are discriminatory and bias. All they do is take advantage of you and try to sell you stuff that you don't need so they can raise their commission. If you want to be serviced by a bunch of dilettantes, this is the place for you, bad service, work, and experience, Joshua at legacy village has terrible customer service experience.
