Please stay away from AT&T, they have the worse customer service, and they steal. I am going to get rid of them as fast as possible. They add charges to my account without my knowledge and one can spend hours trying to correct their mistake and inaccurate information. Plues they up the cost of my internet without notifying me to twice the amount.

If you need messages delivered in a timely manner find another provider. My phone and text messages are being delivered days late.

******Violation of the Federal Trade Commission Act

Section 5: Unfair or Deceptive Acts or Practices*****

On 10/3/22, I called At&t and spoke with Kayce for internet service. She told me about a cell phone promotion as well. Not only would they provide better service but match the bill. The price was 2 lines for $110/month and a $20/month credit due to us having our own devices, making the bill $90+tax/month total. I told her I purchased a new phone 3 weeks ago and the phone might be locked. She said if it's PAID OFF it will work. After double checking in her system, she was certain she could activate it. When she attempted to import my number, the call dropped, the phone locked, and I was left with no phone. I run a business, being away from my phone isn't a option. Kayce & the activation line tried to troubleshoot but was unable. I was instructed to go to multiple locations including my old provider which informed me, ATT owns my number and wouldn't give it back. ATT wanted me to buy a phone from them with no payment plan due to being a new customer. The next day I went into another location (5180 state Rte 100, PALM COAST, FL *******) and spoke to Darrell a sales rep. He told me I was lied to by Kayce but he has a promotion that I would receive a free phone if I turned in my old phone. He explained that the "free phone trade promotion" will in essence be discounted by monthly bill credits that AT&T will give back on your bill for the 36-month installment plan. He would also honor $10 off monthly for bringing my own devices, this would take 2-3 billing cycles to see the credits.

My bill should be $130 but is $175. I have called with no results. Towards the end of 4/22 they gave me $400 credit which is less than the agreement. By switching to AT&T I have raised my bill by 200% and had to purchase 2 brand new phones and they stole mine. This is a breach of federal law.

If it's not resolved in a timely manner. I will be seeking council.

AT&T is always unreliable. Constantly going offline, especially lately, and repair crews never get the issue resolved on time. This is especially difficult for an online student who has deadlines he cannot miss. Not to mention how unhelpful their customer service is, representatives often don't even understand what is being said, today the one I had on the phone couldn't even understand the didgets of my phone number to look up my account. Then she left me on the phone for over an hour saying nothing once we were done instead of hanging up. I assume this was to avoid me answering an automated customer survey. It just made me more irritated.

We had just switched from T-Mobile to AT&T and the process was completely horrible. Two of my family phone numbers were ported with no issue, but the third one was stuck in, as they called, "a limbo" between their service and T-Mobile, meaning that that phone had no service and could only take calls through WI-FI. A worker had helped us for nearly a month, with seemingly no solution provided by him, his manager, or any other higher ups because "they had never seen it happen before". We kept trying to fix the problem as we couldnt lose that phone number, but in the end, we had to change that phone back to T-Mobile. Due to the circumstances, we were offered a "compensation" that never appeared in bank statements or in our bill. But nevertheless, we stayed with AT&T for almost a month. However, problems didn't stop there, as we had now "owed" around $200 out of nowhere, and we contacted the same person who set up our lines and it was as if they disappeared from the face of the earth. It was the last straw, so we decided to switch all the other phones back to metro, but apparently, AT&T can delete your phone number if you switch unless you stay with them for 36 months. Do not get AT&T's mobile service, as they're just scam artists with a storefront. Their "contractless plan" is just as binding as an actual contract but much worse, so save your time, money, and sanity, and avoid this carrier at all costs, there are better options out there.

They lie about what your payments will be, and up your charges without telling you, their customer service absolutely sucks worst than their phone and internet service they are terrible and should be illegal what they do and how they treat their customers! I had AT&T for years, only left for a work plan, When that ended I came back, and have had them now for about 2 years, THEY SURE ARE NOT THE SAME! THEY ARE GOD-AWFUL IN EVERY WAY! I would rather pay triple the price anywhere to never deal with them again! DO NOT USE THEM EVER! I wish I could give zero stars!

Phone service/ customer service
September 12, 2023

I switched my phone service from T-Mobile to AT&T in July 2023. I had issues with the service 2 weeks later. The phones went into SOS mode and I couldn't make any calls. I had to leave work and find a store to get help. After that o couldn't get any service at work, which was unbelievable. I decided not to keep the service because of those issues. My Mom is in a memory care facility and I have a trucking business, so my phone service is needed 24/7 and very important. I left AT&T and went back to t-mobile.,
AT&T drafted my bank account for 1,336.85, which I didn't realize until a week later. I went to the same store and the agent was very rude and insensitive. I was never told that if the service didn't work for me that this would happen or I would have never left t-mobile. I expressed my concerns to the ago at the time of purchase about if I could get service at my job. The agent assured me that the service wouldn't be a problem because they have towers by my job. Well it wasn't true because I couldn't get service on my job and my phones went into SOS mode.
I am very disappointed and hurt. I will never use this service or recommend it to anyone. The customer service agent is horrible with customers.

The customer support is a start. All they do is transfer you to another supervisor yet when you try to file a complaint to the supervisor during the chat all you get is. "I'm sorry this is a inconvenience". Then transfer again. All I wanted was an explanation on why I'm paying for a phone that Is broken.

Almost everything I was told was either a lie or at the least mislead with purpose. There is no way out of this agreement with them. Horrible customer service. They approved my phone for trade in than for 6 months said it was not received and now they say the phone was not eligible.the discount, the reason I switched, through my employer has been denied. With the plan not being offered at the time I switched. I can barely communicate with the people in call center as they speak English well. I cannot get an answer to something not scripted might as well be talking to a robot.y bill is higher than ever and my coverage is less. I truly regret switching to at t and I am trapped with this expensive bad service.

CUSTOMER SERIVE
September 9, 2023

I was promised a promo for a $1000 for my I phone 12pro. I had issues getting my phone cleared and went back into the AT&T store multiple times and they let me know that I can get extended to a 45 day. I came in on Friday which would've been day 42 of my extensions and they told me that they're no longer going to honor my promotion which means that I now have to pay $1000 for a phone that I didn't necessarily want because they sold me on the upgrade, I'm now stuck in a two-year contract and have two phones that I upgraded and get to pay over $200 a month on. AT&T cannot deliver what they say they're going to and seem to be tied with saying they can't do anything every single time I try to talk to anyone on any of their support teams or "loyalty" department. They told me they weren't able to honor it. When we told them that are they willing to lose a customer over this gentleman on the phone and in the store said unfortunately in this case there's nothing they can do. There was no creativity or problem-solving whatsoever. It definitely feels like they do not care about their customers, and they are not willing to bend the two of their customers are needing.

The way they conduct the customer service line should be illegal. Everytime i call, the call is directed to a crowded call center in some foreign country and they can't speak English well and don't have the same authority, knowledge, or resources to fix issues. I called to get my Internet speed boosted to 100mbps (currently have 50mbps which is slow enough and already overpaying as it is) and the foreign representative somehow changed my plan to a 3 MBPS DOWNLOAD PLAN. I did not ask for that and they now say they can't change it back to my Internet 50 plan and completely ruined my service in which my only option will likely be to cancel and switch carriers now.

The thing I hate most about ATT is calling them. I absolutely dread talking on the phone to ATT. Why oh why do they always try to freaking sell me things when I call about my account? Today I called to sign up for Fiber, which was available in my area according to the website, but the rep said in fact it was not. So a call wasted. But instead of letting me hang up, he tried to get me to upgrade my cellphone plan to a plan that would be over $20 more per month. When I said No, he tried to sell me on a new line - a second line, perhaps for my "love life" or for business, at a cost of $70 more per month. If I needed a new line or an upgraded phone package, I would have freaking called about that. ATT SHOULD FORMALLY DISCONTINUE HAVING REPS TRY TO SELL THINGS TO CUSTOMERS WHI CALL FOR ASSISTANCE. When I call my mortgage company with a question, they don't try to get me to refinance. Honda doesn't try to get me to buy a new car. NO OTHER COMPANY DOES THIS in the same way ATT does. Other companies respect their customers and appreciate the customer's business, whereas ATT just keeps pushing and pushing and pushing. I wish I could permanently discontinue service with ATT, but they're the only provider who offers internet here and I don't get excited by the thought of trying to cancel my ATT wireless - they make cancelling service almost impossible - uncomfortable, tense, and high pressure. I hate ATT and seriously wish they would respect their customers rather than treating them like nothing but potential leads for more business.

Hotspot mobile service
September 8, 2023

I am very disappointed in this service. I called to find out why I am not receiving the internet. I reached a representative who could not finish assisting me because his computer crashed. He said someone would call me with in 15 mins. It has been over 2 hours. Now I have to call back and hopefully get someone and resolve this issue. VERY frustrating.

I ordered 2 phones online AT&T charged me 143.63 for the taxes on the phone. I paid and was emailed my receipt. The next morning I received an email the order had been canceled because they couldn't prove who I was and my payment would be refunded. They told me to go to a brick-and-mortar which I did. I again ordered the two phones and again paid for them after the agent called and had the $1050 bill they were trying to charge me for the phones I already had before I moved to AT&T. Now I had to pay my phone bill plus the 143.63 again even though I did not get my phones online. They claim the new 143.63 is for a phone bill and not a recharge for the phones. My emails from them say differently. I started by calling customer service who read from a script, transferred to the manager who read the exact same script, transferred to the supervisor who acted like I wasn't talking to him in chat, and disconnected. I filed a complaint with the FCC, AT&T office of the president called me and said the exact same thing as the first call to customer service. No one is willing to listen or look at the emails sent to me from them. I was forced to pay the 143.63 or come up with close to $3000 to pay off the phones I had just signed a contract with them so I could move to another wireless company. I want to know if they can pay enough to make sure they listen to their customers instead of reading from a prompt and assuming it is God.

Zero stars
September 7, 2023

I got fooled to switch from Metro to ATT.
I purchased 2 iPhone 13 from AT&T and my phone bill start looking like a car payment. They said I would only pay $5 a month per phone but the monthly bill was more than $300. After couple of months of using the iPhones 13, we realized we didn't like the IPhone and we went back to AT&T to get Samsung instead. We paid in full for the 2 iPhone 13 around $1400 and we gave the phones back to AT&T and we were told that the money will be applied to the Samsung we purchased. But they didn't told us that the credit would be applied for the 36 months contract so in order to end the AT&T account they requested us to pay in full for the Samsung phones as well. So we end up paying for 4 phones and we only got 2. I've had the worst experience with AT&T, too expensive and very shady way of doing business.

Horrible customer service I am just in awe! I spoke to so many different agents in the Philippines and in the store trying to get my phone ported to a different carrier and was apologized to so many times but of course none of that really mattered. Absolute nightmare!
