My son left the country for four months, and I asked AT&T what we could do to save money (and his number) while he wasn't using the account. They said, no problem, he could pay ten bucks instead of twenty on our family plan. But it was a lie. They didn't tell me that invalidated the installment plan he had on his phone, so in actuality their little savings cost us 5+ bucks a month extra. I called, certain they'd fix that as they have in the past for their mistakes, but I was told no way. That they were sorry that they made a mistake, but they wouldn't fix it. It's the last straw for us with other issues we've overlooked. All seven of us on the family plan are leaving now. If that's the way they run their business, they can do it without us

16 times I have called and 4 times chatted online with them. All I need os the box I pay 40.00 a month for to work. Home phone is okay but the internet that comes with it has been inoperative for a month. And NO ONE WILL HELP ME!
I am so frustrated I would tell anyone to absolutely not choose AT&T.
They are a joke and all the reps too. :(

When they came out to bury the line at our neighbor's they cut through a clearly marked Cox line buried in conduit. No way they didn't know the line was there. This disrupted our business for an entire day costing us personally. Cox was able to come out before the end of day and run a new line. When I tried to call AT&T to report the matter, they hung up on me. This is just the latest in a long list of issues I've had with this company over the last 20 years which is why I have not done business with them for the last 18 and will *never* do business with them.

When they first launched AT&T Fiber in my area, I got a promotional offer that stipulated that my monthly payment would be $50/month for life. After getting my first bill I noticed that the bill indicated that my normal monthy rate was higher but it showed the discount so the price would be $50. Me being a skeptic, I called AT&T to verify that this would never go up and ask them why it just didn't say $50. They assured me if would never ever go up. Of course a year later my bill went up. When I called customer service they said they had no knowledge of this offer and told me to basically pound sand. I wish I had never switched to AT&T fiber.

I cant even put into words how frustrated I am with this whole situation. Long story short, we were promised BOGO for the iPhone 8s after 6 months. We are now going on 10 months and I get stonewalled every time I call. The phone service is terrible too. It may cost us to get out of this situation but I feel it may be worth it in the end. I have been with AT&T for almost 20 years and feel its time to go unless my issue is resolved. Im sure my five measly lines will mean nothing to them anyway.

AT&T. Worst customer service ever. I cancelled my account and got charged 1 full month of service even though I cancelled same day my plan was ending. Apparently AT&T also charged me for change in plan after I cancelled. Mind you this is not a termination fee. They didn't send me bill because I was cancelled and had the nerve of adding interest on top.

They charged 160 + 60 change in my service + 20 dollars interest for 1 month for using 0 days of their service. 0 days of phone service for $240.

Just a scam. 15 years a customer for this kind of service.

The customer service online is too bad. I found there was Multi-Device Protection Pack - Insurance $25.97 and Multi-Device Protection Pack - Support $9.02 on my bill at the early 2018. I don't need this protection pack, and asked the customer service online to cancel it.

I was told the Protection Pack will be cancelled, and there will be not such fee next month.

One month later, I found the Protection Pack totally $34.99 was still on my bill and was still charged. I asked the customer service online to cancel it again.

I have asked the customer service online 3-4 times, and every time I was told the Protection Pack will be cancelled, and there will be no more charge.

Today, I checked my bill, and found at&t had still charged me this Protection Pack.

AS a long time customer I was most disappointed in certain antiquated practices. I ordered pursuant to a promtion a cell phone and a free additional one. I found the conditions unacceptable and returned both within the time frame provided. First, I was informed that it would take 3 billing periods to receive a check for the sales tax. More shockimg was the charge of $90.00 for a restocking fee, a practice long abanded by most retaiilers. All internet retailers I have dealt with provide instant refunds upon returnig an item and never charge a restocking fee, a practice which would discourage me from purchasing from AT&T in the future.

Incredibly deceptive practices. BOGO offers on their own websites aren't honored. No one you talk to knows anything and that's if you even get anyone on the line. The promises they make regarding the BOGO Offer is that you will pay for the second phone for a couple of months and then your bill will be credited. THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN. Please, don't agree to this! You WILL pay for both phones and you will get the run around until the 90 days are over. We've been loyal customers since 2009 and we've witnessed the decline in customer relations and deceitfulness. Waived fees that are never really waived, promising to change your data plan free of charge only to see your bill increase by $15.00, now BOGOs that are never honored. I don't have any recommendations since we have been with them so long but I HIGHLY recommend that you do not sign up for AT&T no matter what they tell you. I have never written a review for a company and never filed a complaint. I was so mad that I filed an illiterate complaint without bothering to spell check, Now I owe $1,600 for phones that will have no service and I look like English is my seventh language...

It recently took me 4 hours to switch my daughter from my plan to her own. Visited 3 stores in the Minneapolis area and talked to 3 reps on the phone. What a runaround. The most despicable was the Rosedale Mall store which flat our refused to help. I posted the below review on the site and it was rejected by ATT - they censor their customer ratings so all of them are 4 or 5 stars - what a pathetic fraud of a company.

"All we asked for was a new SIM card. They refused to help. Why - no commission - this store is all about how much they can fleece you for, forget about customer service. Steer clear. Better store one mile away where they were glad to help."

I live in the country (not even the country, I live about 2 miles out of my city). ATT is the only ISP out here and at first, I had no issues with the WiFi, as I didn't use it that much. But now that I am a hardcore FPS gamer who would LOVE some access to the WiFi my friends that live on the city limits have access to. I can't get it. I run off the outdated technology that ATT calls, "High-Speed DSL." Well, when I think "High-Speed," I think around 5MBS (as it is DSL), but I can't even get my EXPECTED speeds of 2MBS. I have not ONCE seen speeds that I have been told countless time by ATT I should be EXPECTING. It bothers me because ATT won't do anything to attempt to fix it. And my "WiFi" half the time won't even work so that I can chat with an actual ATT customer support representative. I have had a very... Wait let me go find a good word to use of thesaurs.com OH WAIT CAN'T cause my WiFi is to slow. Thanks ATT for making me pay $80 a month for crap. And I mean actual crap. I give the finger to you and pity to anyone that has to sit through hell trying to do daily tasks that not even your fiber lines can handle.

ATT SUCK
March 12, 2018

I went to att in JAN 2018 to get new Iphone X, and the att saler told me if i get the direct TV just $20/month then i get an Iphone 8 for free, after I did it, the billing of Direct TV came up to $48. I called and asked why, they told me for the first couple of month it's will not showing any discount, but than the second month, they charged me for the protection & HBO service, which man it doesn't mention in the first place, and the bill come up with $74, than the third month they charged me $48 agains. Im calling again and they said never have $20 promotion, only $48. I was so mad, than Im trying to cancel the service, but they want to charge me for the cancelation fees up to $200 for the contract Direct TV.
In the first place AT&T not being honestly with customers, how can they make customers to pay for more charge, it was a terrible place. Now I have to paid hundreds Dollars for this place, AT&T SUCK.!

AT&T is brutal
February 20, 2018

I went to ATT at Best buy on December 16th. They took my money, said its EASY to go online to transfer phones, 6 hour later that day, had to go back. Multiple calls saying, "oh, it's coming". Now, 2 months later, I still don't have the money. "OH, you have to go on and do this. Now you have to do that." I have 20 hours into trying to get the money money back they said I would get. Guys at Best Buy are nice and trying to help but ATT's process is idiotic. I turned my full bill in from my old carrier on my old phone. 2 months later they say I need to turn it into all 4 phones... why? They have my bill for all 4 lines on my bill. They are all listed on my bill. All the phones came from my email, my name.
WORST decision I have ever made going to AT&T. I would highly recommend you use a different company.

Terrible customer service
February 14, 2018

I did everything asked of me when trading a phone in only to have them send it back stating they didn't receive it within the window of time. They DID receive it within the window of time I made sure of it! I now have $150 charge on my bill. If you haven't switched to AT&T save yourself a lot of headaches and money and just DON'T go with them! I will be moving our phones and Direct TV very shortly. AT&T SUCKS!

Went to a store in Hemet, CA and was told the plan came with a free phone, x minutes, x texts and unlimited data including tethering (10GB actually). Fine, pay the money, get it all organized. Get out of the store and try tethering in the car. No way. Call help and am told tethering unlimited hasn't been allowed for a long time. Sales person lied and manager reassured me also. Went straight back to the store and was told(20+ minutes after leaving) that they cannot give me my money back and cancel because $'s were paid for air time, not for the phone. Pure deception. I got it back through my card company.

In mid December I cancelled and paid off a phone on my account, a month later they are still telling me I have to pay for the plan on that phone. I have talked to another one of the extremely rude customer service reps, just to be told that they dont want to do anything to help me out. I have been a customer of this crooked company for 15 years, and they could care less if I stay or go, so Im going. AT&T is a very dishonest company!
