I had to call twice today and was on hold both times for over 35 minutes! Assurance has sent me 13 phones before getting one to work and then they switched phones and now I can't get my calls or if I do after a little time it drops the call! Assurance Sucks! I hope the government sues them for not fulfilling their obligation. I am sick of their lousy service!

Worst cell phones I have ever encountered... AMERICAN FREE PHONE ENTITY with NO U. S customer support! MEXICO or PHILIPPINES ONLY! I have been sent 5 UMX phones in 7- 8 months... COMPLETE GARBAGE PHONES! THEY WILL NOT SEND ME ANOTHER MODEL PHONE... EVEN AFTER ALL THE GARBAGE THEY HAVE SENT AND ALL THE PLEADING I HAVE DONE... A TRULY AMERICAN COMPANY WOULD NOT TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS THIS WAY!
I have spent countless HOURS with CS in MEXICO and PHILIPPINES... BUT THEY RESOLVE NOTHING... ONLY KEEP SENDING THE SAME GARBAGE PHONES AGAIN AND AGAIN!... A TOTAL WASTE OF SPENDING OUR TAX DOLLARS... BOTH YOURS AND MINE...

SOMEONE NEEDS TO INVESTIGATE THIS... SOMEONE IS GETTING RICH ON THIS WASTE OF OUR TAX DOLLARS FOR POOR SERVICE AND GARBAGE QUALITY PRODUCTS!

I am disabled person who has a rescue phone to assurance wireless. Had a lot of trouble with the phone pop-ups all the time battery running down fast. I found out the pop-ups were being caused by the gaming app in the android system once delete it no more pop-ups then what I did is shut down all the apps that I didn't use increase my battery time dramatically make sure your system is up-to-date to check for updates

After dealing with Assurance Wireless. I truly believe you get what you pay for. The customer service is horrible, the quality of the phones are horrible. I guess you get what you pay for. If you don't have any expectations you won't be disappointed. Their customer service repeatedly says they're sorry, problem never gets resolved.

Worst company
February 24, 2020

Don't go through this company, because they want to charge you $5.00 for shipping of a new phone or to get the one you have fixed. Also they don't take money orders to pay for the shipping, especially if someone doesn't have a credit card. Some people don't want to have cards, because they charge for transaction fees on them. I can get money orders for free, and also cash them for free without a bank. 99% of people are in credit card debt because of the cards as it is. Also It don't make sense to have high speed data of 2 gigs, when you use that to pay bills on line. Then you run out of data with in the first half of hour. How can the phone be free, if your charged shipping and handling? I can get packages from China free of charge for shipping! So why can't they? Assurance wireless sucks! Signal, service, and for shipping and handling, not to mention customer service.

I hate this phone. This is the worst phone I've ever had the displeasure of owning. Here's a list of everything wrong with it that I have figured out so far.
1 Pre-installed malware that you cannot remove. If you try to disable it it'll just enable again somehow so you get a lockscreen/ad randomly
2. While on a call the phone app will go into the background which stops whoever I'm speaking to from hearing anything I say. I have to unlock the phone, open up the phone app again all while hoping they don't think the call has dropped and hang up. This happens multiple times while on the phone.
3 it can barely connect to the network to make a phone call. I press call and wait 10 to 15 seconds all while it's trying to connect. Sometimes I have to restart the phone just to get it to connect.
4 since the connection sucks so much I'm also missing important phone calls. The phone doesn't even register that someone called.
5 It freezes multiple times throughout the day no matter what I'm doing. I have to restart it constantly
6 after it crashes I have to have it plugged it for it to even turn on no matter how much battery life it has
7 the screen cracked and I haven't dropped it I have no idea what happened it just just randomly broke.

I hate this phone. I hate everything about this horrible pos phone. When I get a new one I'm going to take a hammer and smash this phone to bits and that will be the most satisfying thing I've ever been able to do on this phone.

I'm scared to get a better name brand "refurbished" phone off their website. Does refurbished mean it will come with the pre-installed ad-ware and malware that came with this phone? Ugh anyway customer service was OK the one time I did have to call them.

I have had lifeline when it began with other carriers but this is the worst ever. The phone you can't hear out of. It takes 2 minutes to connect to a network to make a call. I have had it sent back once already. It is best to just pay for a phone than to have something that works once in a while. Forget even trying to take a picture you won't see anything. The memory is so low that with no apps downloaded you have to wait for it to wake up to answer a call and by that time the caller has hung up. I can't believe they get away with such practices. They are getting money from the Government, and are just making profit and providing no service. I have done factory resets, soft resets, turned it on and off, took the battery out. DON'T GET THIS CARRIER. The only good thing is that the customer service is farmed out to the Philippines where the people are lovely! NO STARS!

Just bad
January 13, 2020

Horrible company. Have tried several times to get phone. They sent me a phone than claimed it could not be activated it because I had another Gov phone. Which I don't. They had me reapply. Got another phone. Once again they can't activate it. So they sent my application in again. Hard to understand the employees India accent. These people are supposed to be helping people not giving them the run around.

Hello, i'm sorry i dont have much time to write this review so i'll make this quick. I have a $#*! -sure-lance liar-us cellphone because im to cheap and poor to pay for a over priced one at any cellphone store. Well things were going smoothly i guess until i rode the greyhound bus one day and plugged in my charger to one of their onboard electrical outlets. Now my cellphone battery is on life support "as it needs to be plugged in or it'll die" i'm starting to see a connection between greyhound, and this company just to make customers buy more chum bucket services. Yes you do get what you pay for. I didnt pay anything so that gives them the right to give me cancer and make my battery give out. I do NOT recomend this service. If i was you i would run away like dorthy did before the tornado hit the farm

Frustrating
December 19, 2019

I transferred my lifeline reward to assurance because my phone from the other carrier stopped working. I need a phone to speak w Doctors and my Attorney in preparation for my Social Security. Disability Hearing.
The phone which i was sent, is locked and i cannot access the prompts to activate the phone. I have sent countless e mails and when I call customer service the call gets disconnected. I wish i new this before i switched carriers.
