Other than customer service, its a good deal, all else is well with it. But, customer service is worthless. First one I spoke with just said nothing but then put me to the survey. I doubt they expected me to leave a message on that. Second one kept telling me: Go to the web site, go to the web site, go to the web site. Would not listen to my issue at all, did not care what my problem was, every time I tried to speak, it was "go to the web site" Worthless.

Mostly satisfied

I've had this service since 11/2022. 1st phone didn't work, replacement was sent and received in 1 week. Since then the service has been fine. 2 complaints: 1-phone runs slower than my other phones. 2-sometimes when on a call the volume stops then starts again, a little annoying. But it's FREE, my last phone was $75 a month with comparable features. My usage with cell phones is pretty low. I don't "live" on it like most people do. So I'm mostly satisfied with it. I get by on disability now so being free helps a lot.

GO elsewhere! They route all the calls overseas, most have very broken english and cannot even understand what you call in about. Then i bought a replacement phone and they send me a down graded phone. What a rip off!

Poor customer service

So so phones, so so connectivity, horrible customer service. I had a distinct sense that i was being shined on when i was talking to customer service. Also been disconnected or hung up on twice while trying to contact these people. I'd say stay away from this company.

Terrible service. Terrible phone. My service was cut off today. No letter, no email, nothing. There is no one to call to ask what happened. I replied to two different email addresses from Assurance and both were rejected. I need this phone to find a new doctor. There is no where to "Top Off" minutes to this crummy phone.

THIS IS A SCAM

CALLED ON 12/20/22 &GOT CASE NUMBER & A REPLACEMENT PHONE COMING. CALLED & TOLD THAT I HAVE TO PAY $39.99 IN ORDER TO GET REPLACEMENT. AFTER A TOTAL OF 5 CALLS OF BEING HUNG UP ON. FIRST LADY KEPT CALLING BACK DURING THE SURVEY SO I COULDNT ANSWER THE SURVEY. THEY TAKE 10 MINUTES TO GET YR ACCOUNT INFO TO PULL UP. THIS IS HOW ALL THE EBT CARDS IN CALIFORNIA ARE GETTING THEIR MONEY STOLEN. YOU HAND THEM YR EBT CARD WHICH IS A BANK CARD AND THEY ARE TAKING PICTURES OF IT WITH YR ID. BIG TIME SCAM ALERT. WE TELL THEM AT WORK DO NOT GIVE THEM YR EBT CARD. EVERY TIME THERE EBT MONEY IS STOLEN THEY MAKE A POLICE REPORT. WE ASK THEM IF THEY RECENTLY GOT A FREE PHONE. GUESS WHAT THEY DID! STOP HIRING SOMEONE WHO DOESNT SPEAK ENGLISH AND CANT FIGURE OUT WHAT WE ARE SAYING! I ASK TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR AND GET HUNG UP EVERY TIME. ALL THIS WAS A WASTE OF TIME.

I was given a new phone and a line that lasted less than a month. The people that sign me up was incompetent and made big error. My caller ID on the phone was under my neighbors name. I told the customer service fix this problem and this is not my fault. They never fixed my problem and disconnected my line. I call them why they disconnected my line and their answer was the incompetent people that sign me up messed up my line. Also they told me I am no longer qualified for the service. I am disabled person that needs phone and I am discriminated by this company. Government should not fund them. I hope legal action are filed against for discrimination.

Assurance wireless absolutely sucks! Their service sucks,their phones suck even more than their service. They are only better than not having a phone. Only! Although they may be free your government has done little to give you anything more than a pile of crap of a phone with service that matches.

Lying Leeches

I've had assured wireless for about a year now and when I went to recertify all my information I was assured by a supervisor that I didn't have to do anything since I was in the state of California and that I was going to get a new phone within 7-10 business days. That was back on 11/13/22. Not only did I not receive the new phone but they completely changed their story and now I have to do their job for a free service. They are rude, they don't keep track of anything (IE putting notes on accounts, etc) they are very RUDE and love to argue with you because apparently they think they know more than you they refuse to help unless you do their job for them. I wish I never got the service in the first place

For Weeks they said my phone was on the way. They said 3-5 business days. After 2 Weeks they informed me No phone was coming, and that I had to Pay $65 for a phone. They Could've and Should've told me that in the beginning. Due to their incompetence I was without a phone for 3weeks. This is the THIRD time this was done to me. Which is why I feel compelled to write this review. How can an agency issuing Government phones be allowed to treat people like this? It's Unbelievable. Totally Dissatisfied & humiliating.

They messed up again

I called last week to say I never got a sim card with my phone. Well, they said it would come yesterday. I called them and they said "I never requested one." They lied again to me. Be careful of this cell phone service. They try to tell you that you are lying. I've reported them twice now to the FCC due to their behavior. Scary. I'd encourage you to do the same if you have problems with them.

Horrible Service!

Please do not use this company! The worst customer service and the phones are even worse! The agents are useless! Very difficult to understand their accents! Jilted me out of money that I paid for a phone that broke less than a month after purchasing! Xfinity has an excellent program now for eligible recipients.

Crooks

Every day they inform me I have no data left. I have been putting in $10 per day and shut off my phone except for about 5 minutes per day. But every day my data disappears and they want another &10. That is an extra $300 per month! What the hell is going on, who is allowing this robbery to take place? Who in the government is getting a kickback from this dirty abomination?

Don't buy a phone

I can say A Lot but I'm thankful to have free phone services. Unfortunately, I brought a phone from them that didn't work. They sent a replacement (same type phone), SAME PROBLEMS. They didn't allow me to pick my phone, they just sent me a Shock. Now that I need another replacement I'm getting the run around, the customer service crew lie to me constantly, and when I asked to speak with management, they transferred me to T-mobile! It's been 40 minutes. I've been on hold for 34 of those minutes. All I want is a tracking number to my 3rd new phone that was supposed to be here by now.

Nothing good to say!

Received a phone for my mother who is in assisted living over 2 years ago. The battery blew up in it (Expanded and failed to power the phone). Called to get a replacement. Nothing but a run around. Handed off to someone else, told the phone was on the way, unable to contact anyone. Its been almost 2 months my mother has been with out a phone. Assurance Wireless is a Joke.

Assurance wireless customer for over five years assurance is owned by T-Mobile no matter how many times I call them (which has been 11 today alone disconnected all 11 times both once I've gotten to a customer service rep and a supervisor and sometimes I call and the call just dies.). I get conflicting information from every single first level representative they never give me a consistent answer they flat out lie to you they told me I would be receiving a phone I did not receive the phone they never emailed me they never called me they never sent any notification they just canceled the request and never notified me so two months later I have no phone and no replacement phone and I can't get through to them because I keep being disconnected by their telephone system go anywhere else but assurance wireless who is owned by T-Mobile for your wireless services

WILL NOT HELP YOU WHEN PHONES LOST OR STOLEN

My phone either I lost left at a store somewhere or it was stolen. Either way I froze my account right away just so no one could use the phone. I can't afford to buy a new phone or I would've already done so a month later. I got a letter stating they would provide a free phone for me to use for a limited time if I called. I called and the guy I spoke to yelled at me said I didn't receive a letter and I would have to pay for a phone. I hung up and messaged on Facebook amd the lady said she would provide the phone if I provided a police report stating the phone was gone. WTF. Call police over me leaving my phone somewhere maybe. No I told her to cancel the account then she asked me the reason why I wanted to cancel. Ughhh. Yall won't help when something happens. Yall just want the governments money for providing a crap phone with crap service. Well not on my expense. I'll go elsewhere that will provide a phone and not be rude when I need to talk to someone.

Free phone my butt. Nope they will not help you at all
