I have had nothing but problems with assurance wireless service. The phones that they provide are cheap and they suck, they are slow and the data that is provided with their service plan is only five gigabytes for every month of service. 5 GB of data is useless! When assurance wireless promises to give you unlimited data, talk and text they are deceiving people who don't know what they are getting into. I would not recommend insurance wireless to anyone ever. I could go on and list multiple issues and problems that I have had when assurance wireless was my carrier and service provider however I don't have the time now. I think people who read this post will get the general message.
Free plan ok. Email said I could upgrade. 2 wouldn't charge so they sent same as original. Not upgraded!
After several attempts of trying to contact a representative through assurance wireless it became clear to me that there was no prompt for it so I just pressed a bunch of buttons that were not included in the prompts so let's say there's up to 6 different options I started pressing 7 9 0 and then it connected me to a representative.
The phone they send is garbage. Screen is horrible and sound quality is subpar.they will tell you that they'll send a new one and just send the same. There is no option to purchase a different one although they will tell you there is.you will not be happy. I promise you
When contacting customer service on many occasions, I find that the representatives perform in a 'robot' fashion, not being concerned with my call but to constantly repeat what I say to them. Their knowledge of issues is horrible as is their ability to communicate with Americans. I even had one rep call me back after a horrible interaction only to repeatedly call me a 'moth*r fuc*er'. I guess that was a better option than solving my issue.
It's great to provide free phones with unlimited service for individuals in need, but there are many issues that need to be fixed, such as unjustly canceling customer service. I missed my important phone calls because my service was disconnected without warning. I have had three assurance wireless phones and had to call today to acquire why my phone was turned off when I use it daily. I also have reported noticing a red square in the middle top of the phone with an exclamation point in the top. I ca. Customer service didn't have a clue as to how to help. My phone is off and I am waiting for a replacement, again.
I am grateful that there are some companies addressing free phone service to those who need it BUT, The two-dollar cheap phones are absurd! In a world using 5G, their phones are operating on at best, 2G. Slow is not better when you're trying to use a phone, PLUS they don't offer a sim card that you can use to put in a much better phone that can be purchased for not much more than what they give you. I won't be using them again!
Not only does the service suck, but they never gave me the unlimited data, text, and talk I signed up for. I have unlimited data, text, but only 1000 minutes of talk time a month! DO NOT USE THEM! Choose another service! 100

I have been with Assurance Wireless for 6 yrs. They used to have good customer service but not any more. The replacement phones that they send you are Junk. Refurbished Junk. They have sent me replacement phones that never worked from Day 1. Had to send it back right away. Then they sent me another bad phone as a replacement to the replacement. The replacement to the replacement did not work. And this has happened before. Since I have been with Assurance Wireless all that they give you is politeness and promises that they do not keep their promises. Lip service, I rate Assurance Wireless only a 1 out of 10 stars. A "1" is worthless. A 10 is excellent. Go with Safelink for your government sponsored phone. Stay away from Assurance Wireless. Their phones and support are Worthless.
I've been using insurance wireless for almost a year. They are customer service is in I think the Philippines or something like that they're very very polite but it's a royal pain calling them because they usually voice scripts they have to read and they can't just answer a straight question with a yes or no. Their phones that they offer are horrible quality and if you break it or drops or something it takes forever for them to replace the phone and I think there's only a 90-day warranty on the phones. The service coverage is okay depends on where you live. I think they're a subcontractor of Sprint mobile. Or T-Mobile not sure. I got the phone for free to the government Lifeline program which I really appreciate so I was grateful just to have any phone that worked. However I'm looking for another service provider because this is not good. But all of the service providers for the lifeline program are poor quality because they're using third or fourth level service from the major providers. I don't recommend them at all unless you're getting a free phone with free service the service itself is actually pretty okay. However if anything happens to your phone good luck getting a new one or even buying one on your own on Amazon it tick like six to eight weeks for them to send me a replacement phone and that was the first time my phone went bad on this now the second time we're talking two and a half 3 months and still having problems so I'm going to drop them as a service carrier.
First of all the phone they give you is the worst phone I have ever used in my life and the customer service well let's put it this way.I was told I would be compensated for my horrible experience with them with a 20$ gift card for Amazon and then when I call back the supervisor tells me that I can't have it! Wtf!?!?! I have changed my service twice now with these companies and they just keep getting worse! Lord forbid listen to your customers!
Let's face it cell phone service has gotten to be the absolute worst across the board. Well with some exceptions, like the outright lies that you get from Assurance…If you find anything out of the rude,stupidity from any operator you're very likely misunderstanding them…
Do not trust anything they tell you
Privacy concerns in terms of data and geo location. Riddled with viruses and spam messages. Assurance wireless, I assure you there is better options for free service.
Was promised twice, giving conformation #'s that I will be up grading the garbage umx phone I had. Wasn't working proper and they took me for granted. The phones go mute. & Noone in the company speaks well English. Threw the dam thing in the garbage where it belongs... Fk them. Taking my business else where,plus am reporting them to the athoritys for being thief's,& liars
You can't bring your own phone and they will not sell you a phone. You have to take whatever phone they send you and it will be 16 GB ROM if you are lucky it will be 32 GB. If that is enough memory for you and don't care what random brand they send you then your good
I got this service middle of November here it is end of January my phone wont charge it kept draining( even turned off) now wont turn on tried to call customer service with no answer worse service ive ever had
These has to be the most INCOMPETENT BUNCH OF LYING IDIOTS we have ever encountered! I absolutely HATE that NO ONE ever know what the hell that they are doing OR talking about! This company needs to disassociate themselves with the philippines! These folks ALWAYS give inaccurate information! They are getting a paycheck for not doing their jobs! It is SICKENING, PATHETIC & DISGUSTING! We're OUTTA HERE! HOPEFULLY an AMERICAN BASED COMPANY will serve us MUCH BETTER with MUCH BETTER RESULTS!
After a year of service no curtissy call before blocking phone, a call a week before expiration could have prevented any stoppage. Now i am without a phone for how long 7-10 min statedl.
None of their call center employees speak good english, they cant understand or spell, its like talking to a 2 year old, company should be shut down, stay away from this company. Employees are so stupid, ipaid for a phone two weeks ago and they never shipped, i called them three times, trying to make them understand,, but the two year old from some country i think india, cant do their job and send my phone i paid for. Worst ever phone company. Avoid avoid at all cost.
