Bad service
July 28, 2023

After waiting 14 months for implants. I am extremely disappointed. They don't fit right and I have denture rub and no one can get me in to fix it for weeks. Horrible.

Original got done at the opelika Alabama office.

Try getting a hold of corporate. Joke

Aspen will start with exceptional customer service, then it gets worse as time goes. I was scheduled 2 appts within 3 weeks. First appt, they informed me they were hacked and had to speak with me regarding finances before they proceeded with services. Mind you, I've already paid them over $9000 and they would not complete my appt until they could verify how much I've paid, due to the cyber attack. So nothing was done at that appt. Rescheduled me 2 weeks out and when I showed up for that appt, they informed me they did not have me scheduled. The front desk person has the personality of a rock and seemed as though should would rather be doing something else. I was rescheduled once again. Received a call 1 day before my appt to ask if I could come earlier. Of course my answer was "NO!" They seem to think that they are the only ones employed and their patients sit at home and eat bon-bons until their next appt. They need customer service training ASAP!

5 months ago I went to Aspen Dental in Fuquay-Varina, NC. Everything went smoothly. I was told what I needed and how much. I agreed. I payed a little over a $1000 to get started. I knew what my balance was and have the funds to pay for the whole procedure. But between 5 months ago and now. I had to have throat surgery. Now all of a sudden. My balance has increased. I have dental insurance. That they accept and dental insurance they don't. I told the woman who handles the payments I could get my teeth and wisdom teeth removed for free with my 2nd insurance. I just needed to go back to my other dentist. The woman told me I couldn't do that. So I proceeded to let them take out my wisdom teeth. They sent the claim in and my insurance denied it. Because of how they worded it. I had to pay that out of pocket. So basically, they tell you one amount and then after you start. Some how your balance goes up. They give you excuses and then when you tell them, that the amount owed is not what was agreed upon. They stop responding to you. If you tell a person, it's X amount of dollars. It should be that amount. There is not one reason why I couldn't have gone and gotten my teeth removed for free. Then come to them and finish my procedure. If I allow them to remove my other teeth and they word it wrong. Guess what? It'll come out of my pocket. That's why I have the other insurance. So I wouldn't have to pay for that. They just want money. I do have to say Dr. Yargar is an excellent Dentist. But being ripped off is not worth paying for. Now I'm searching for another Dentist that can do same day service.

UNHAPPY VIST
July 26, 2023

Called Aspen dental for a tooth extraction and cleaning, went there and they took x-rays, then the dentist came in and told me that he wanted to pull 6 teeth out and give me a partial to the tone of 6000 dollars and he would not pull the one tooth that is in need of extraction. They charged me 124 dollars for x-rays and sent me on my way after waiting a week to get in to see them. I was in terrible pain when I left from him digging around in my mouth. Do not go to Aspen dental in Peru, Illinois if you need a tooth extracted, they will try to upsell you and cost you thousands.

Bullies
July 25, 2023

I wish I could give ZERO STARS.

What ever you do STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. They are bullies. Even though I told them that I have huge anxiety they were still rude to me. The hygienist was almost an hour late taking me back. While knowing that I have a huge fear of dentists, dental offices and have white coat phobia, she rudely said to my husband " YOU CAN'T GO BACK." If this was told to us prior to our visit, we would have prepared. But no, they just like bullying you along with making you cry and develop hives from the stress, anxiety and rudeness. Had to pay almost $900

On July 24,2023, I went to Aspen Dental to schedule a simple tooth extraction. Sounds simple? NOT. I was told that an extraction would itself be around $250 but I needed to have a full mouth X-ray.for a "treatment plan". Told this would be an additional $225 on top of the extraction
I said I didn't want the x-ray and didn't need a " plan" just a tooth pulled. Aspen manager insisted on the extra items. I walked out.

I told two friends about this experience. Both said that Aspen is beyond terrible and had a dismal reputation on dental cost and patient treatment.

I have gone to dentist for more than 60 years and must say my experience with Aspen was the worst yet.
DON'T EVEN CONSIDER THEM..

I cracked a tooth today, having pain, tried to schedule on website but won't let me. Answering service was no help after being on hold for 20 minutes. She said I can't make appointments. I can only try to get a dentist to talk to you. TOTALLY WORTHLESS!

Dissatisfied
July 22, 2023

We are a other dissatisfied Aspen customer. You folks who complained about the Aspen practice in Aunurn, Maine, do yourself a satisfying task and contact and gile a complaint with the State Of Maine Dental board and if they get enough complaints they will pressure Aspen to make due with the complaints

Aspen dental Plano
July 21, 2023

Worst Dental rooms in Plano arrived for an 8am extraction appointment, checked in, sat and waited in the waiting room for an 1hr with no dentist calling other customers with later appointments came in and were seen. I eventually asked why am I not being seen to and having my extraction done and they all looked at each other stupidly and said oh we thought you waiting for someone. Stay away from this place if you value your teeth. They have no clue what they are doing, extremely u professional and offer poor service. They couldn't even offer a proposer quote for teeth work needed revision 5-6 times to be corrected. Don't waste your time.

The Onalaska, Wisconsin office is horrible. They screw up appointments and blame you. They never answer the phone despite several people sitting in the front office. I put a deposit down for a crown and filling replacement. Because the office manager was rude, I called two days later to cancel all appointments. Of course, no one answered. Finally, I called a general Aspen customer service line, and she canceled the appointments. Two weeks later, I still have not received a refund. The office manager said "you don't have to get snippy with me" and then hung up. Wait, they stole $757 from me but I am being "snippy." They will not answer the phone.

Hard Pass.
Do not expect any actual human assistance - "Aspen Dental" is actually a Computer App that is so full of glitches and flaws NOTHING is done correctly - not even setting a simple new patient appointment.

The COMPUTER will send you ongoing emails and ongoing texts - literally filling up your mail box with junk texts!

IF an actual human conracts you - it will be to cancell ypur appointmentmat the LAST MINUTE because their computer system didnt allocate enough time.

The text message I received this morning left the WRONG CONTACT NUMBER for the dental office. I was told that I had any conerns to call a number in Saskatechawan, Canada! Not Beaverton Oregon, but CANADA.

If these clowns cannot schedule a simple appointment correctly... or do something as basic as leave their office contact number CORRECTLY, I have grave comcerns they would be able to do anything else correctly!

Patients deserve far better!

Needed to be told.
July 19, 2023

Let me start by saying, I went to this office for a swollen issue with my gum, and I knew it was an infection and needed attention. After waiting for a short time, maybe 25 minutes, I was taken back for x rays and a plan apparently.

The nightmare begins:
After the dentist looked at my teeth, I was told all my teeth had to be taken out and replaced with dentures.

I was sent to the office manager to discuss numbers for different types of dental implants. Due to the fact I was recovering from breast cancer and many, many bills every month with only my retirement benefits to live on, I was just praying I would be able to handle this new financial burden. Let me also say this office was aware of my cancer history.

I will refrain from using names but as I said it was the OFFICE MANAGER.
She was working on figures and finally hit me with the first quote.
$50,000, for a new beautiful smile. I honestly thought she was joking with me. Being in customer service for 47 years with many high profile clients, I truly know how to read people. She was at that point trying to see if I was rich or if I was poor. Totally threw it out there.
Next okay let's see if this will work for you, one implant at $26,000. Excuse me, why are you wasting your time and mine. Did you forget I have tons of medical bills from breast cancer?
She then tells me lets check to see if you can get some CREDIT. Credit was allowing me a very low loan, with a very high interest rate.
Okay let's now go to the next denture we can do.$12,000 and it must be paid prior to ANY SERVICE is done. She also told me that I would not find anyone cheaper than this office.
I walked out feeling shattered.

At the time I was in a lot of pain and very afraid as the dentist said your teeth must be removed as soon as possible, I am very worried for you.
I tried to overlook the sales pressure of the office manager and left.
I being the person I am sent an email to thank her for taking the time to just say thank you and the dentist for your time and input.

ALL FAKE, FAKE,FAKE. Never emailed me back to try and stay in touch. I then called back to that office and asked for her, asking her if she got my email?
She simply said YES, and nothing else... I responded oh okay and that was the end of the conversation.
This office is certainly setting themselves up for failure with people like this., When your more concerned about your big sales commission than the best for the client. YOU WILL LOSE.

I have found a new facility with a young female dentist that has in fact assured me that I did not need all of my teeth removed. Starting me with deep cleaning and wow believe it or not. THIS OFFICE IS CHEAPER.

It is unfortunate that before I found this new amazing dental office. I referred someone to this Aspen office and they treated him like a low life and charged him over $700.00 to remove a teeth that took 5 minutes to pull.

Bad business avoid this office, unless you don't mind being taken advantage of.

I did not even get the chance to be seen; first it took nearly 3 months to get the first new patient appointment available with them - I do understanding that everyone is backed up and it is difficult to get to see MOST specialty doctors however, I got sick unfortunately around the time that I had the appointment set - when I called to reschedule my appointment they told me that their next available is not until October - this was back in June; the beginning of June! I told them to cancel my appointment and I would call around to other doctors offices to find a sooner appointment the rep on the phone said Okay and hung up. Then I receive an email that I did not show up for my appointment. That told me on many levels the professionalism and how petty the staff is at aspen dental. It is NOT okay for you NOT to cancel my appointment even though I had called to r/s and because I wanted to call around to other dental offices to find out something sooner you chose to just No Show my appointment. No that is NOT okay.

Call center sent us 35 min away to closest office just to be turned away because they don't take walk-ins after certain time. Called next day once again call center assured us they would take us. The 4 doctor names on the wall 2 of them are "owners" and don't work there. The other 2 were on vacation so only had 1 temp dentist and got turned away a second time. They just don't want to take walk-ins. After 70 minutes of wasted time and gas don't waste your time here. Customer service is horrible.

They told me it normally takes 3 appts but they will do it in 2. Here I am 3 in and still haven't gotten my temporary's and have to do go atleast twice more. They told me same day as extraction they insert temporary implant. They ripped my teeth out and Athena said they couldn't limit in the temp for some random never before mentioned reason. And now I gotta wait two week while I can't eat normal foods to get my temporary even. The whole point was to not go without teeth right? So why would I pay for a temporary implant if I'm gust gonna go without teeth anyway? When they did the extractions they where extremely rough. And I'm not one to complain. But this place has been nothing but a mess so far. The website says dentures in days, no waiting, no surprises. That's literally the exact opposite of what they're giving me. And I paid in full up front. Absolutely ridiculous.

I never got to see anyone because they say I have not paid my monthly payment- $30. My phone internet acting up and so my result was a $157.70 pay to see the dentist. I just paid the $30 on Saturday. Usually they wants to see patients and for some reason they can't see what I see- could that be there issue because not all are the same plan? My wife has a different plan that I do. I have been paying faithfully and now just frustrated out of my mind to waste a day off work to have this BS. I am being extremely nice to say 1 star. Could they have gave me any info early so I could show them I have paid faithfully? There billing group need a lot of work. I do not even want to go to that dentist office. Terrible. Im an unhappy customer.

I went to two different aspen dentals in the virginia beach area and was told there were not spots available for me, i explained i had a busted tooth and was in great pain and was told to go to an urgent care for treatment. There was not a single person in the office nor in the parking lot when i arrived as soon as they opened. At the other location the lady at the front was rude and as i was explaining to her what iwas told when i called the number for them at 9 pm the night before she dismissed what i was saying and talk to another person walking in. I WILL NOT BE DOING DENTAL WORK WITH ASPEN DENTAL.

My recent experience with Aspen was the worst in my life with dentists. 1st time when I got there in rain, the system was down. The 2nd time the dentist was on vacation, and the 3rd time the comprehensive exam took 18 pics plus a 180 degree scan. After 6 times of putting a big stuff into my mouth, I started feeling choked and breathless. I asked her to stop. They said they could switch to limited exam, and led me to a different room, where I waited for 30 minutes. Then they said they couldn't continue to work with me since I didn't finish the comprehensive exam. And they are going to charge me for the unfinished work...I am so upset that I cannot finish writing here.
