ASOS Reviews Summary

The overall reputation of the company is significantly marred by persistent customer service issues and delivery failures. Customers frequently report delays in shipping, incorrect items being sent, and a frustrating return process that often leads to dissatisfaction. Many express frustration over the lack of accessible support, relying solely on chatbots for assistance, which often fails to resolve their concerns. While some customers appreciate the product quality, the overwhelming sentiment reflects a declining trust in the company, as unresolved complaints and inadequate communication dominate the feedback. This suggests a critical need for improvement in customer service and clearer return policies.

Big sigh of relief
July 6, 2016

Despite being skeptical about using a UK online store for an item to be sent to Canada, I ordered a sun dress for my teenage daughter on June 21. To my relief, it quickly arrived on July 4 and was exactly what she wanted. I thought some of its clothing was a bit pricey, but I would use ASOS again.

They usually respond to my simple emails but when i actually had a problem they totally ignored me i emailed them at least three times and never once heard from them! I got a dress and sent it to be dry cleaned and it totally shrunk even though we followed the exact care instructions! Im still waiting to hear if they can do anything about it but they keep ignoring me and of course there isnt any way to call them which is again pathetic!

Infuriating
June 25, 2016

Asos's delivery is a joke, they lost 7 of my deliveries - back to back. Please stay away from their site. I know free delivery sounds attractive, it attracted me too, but trust me its a sham.
When i complained customer care kept sending me generic emails with the same content, inefficiency doesn't begin to describe them. They couldn't care less if they try tried.
They do not deserve a minuscule of a star.

The good thing about Asos is that they have everything you could want. So you Can shop for all occasions on asos. The bad thing is everything else. The shipping always takes 2+ weeks and I live in the states. They send you wrong items all the time. And the customer service is terrible. They don't care about their customers. If you get sent a wrong size from another company, they just tell you to keep it and they'll send the right one. Asos? Nope. They're so greedy they want it back. Now I have to waste my time for their mistakes

Beginning 2016 they started gg downhill. I've received stained clothes, used shoes (obviously worn out), broken necklaces and clothes with tears/torn. When you tell them about this, they will pretend to sound sorry on Facebook, in private message they will patronizingly chirp: "I'm so sorry you didn't like our dress" and asked me to foot my own shipping fees to return their STAINED and torn beyond repair goods.

I bought a hat 3 weeks ago and never received it. I paid extra for 3 day shipping. I've been tracking the package, but it's apparently been stuck in customs. I've sent asos 3 emails, and no reply. They do not have a customer service phone number you can call. I lost $50 and there's nothing I can do about it. Very frustrating.

So Much Potential
June 8, 2016

I love the variety that Asos provides as far as styles for plus size, maternity, petite, color and patterns. I have confidence that I am going to receive my package timely for the following weekend if purchased early in the week. Also the quality of the fabric is good. My concern is more of the sizes in "club wear" and "sundress wear". You are playing roulette when you order because the clothes are either too big or too small if you order true to size. So I think for club wear and clingy dresses, order a two to three sizes up. For just a casual sun dress order one size up. This is US based sizes. Thr return of the items are free but it takes up to 10 days to process your return and then credit you back then takes additional days. Feels like... the clothes are cute but too much hassle. If I knew it would fit, I would order more often.

Ordered a swimsuit top on 5/27/16. Was told it would arrive on or before June 3rd. It is now June 7th and it STILL hasn't arrived. I have contacted the company multiple times and still haven't heard back or solved the problem. I feel robbed. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

I will never shop from ASOS again. I ordered three dresses for an engagement session, and a package came 4 days later. Although my name was on the outside of the package, someone else's order was inside. Completely different items, with someone else's name and information on the return label. Tried contacting ASOS with no response (on fb, email, etc). Finally have to go through my credit card company to dispute the charge (which will take 90 days). BEWARE.

I placed an order on ASOS's website but wondered if it was really possible that they could ship from England to the United States within 2 days for only $12. I did a Google search and after reading reviews on this site I figured my order would probably arrive after 2 or 3 months with the wrong items, sizes, and colors. Worst case scenario I could always cancel my credit card charge.

Well I ordered on Monday night in Seattle... my doorbell just rang this Thursday morning and it was my ASOS order - all sizes, colors, items perfect... WOW. I am stunned.

Please note I did use their sizing charts to help in my ordering.

Overall I am hugely impressed.

BUYER BEWARE: I placed an order on ASOS a matter of hours before they did their %20 off deal. I contacted the customer service to see if they could amend my order to reflect the discount and they flat out said no. They made zero effort to make up for this, and had the audacity to suggest I buy more things from their %70 off outlet. Terrible company to deal with. I will never purchase anything from this store again, and I would cancel my order if it hadn't already shipped. Consider shopping somewhere else.

I just had my first and Last shopping experience with ASOS! As the old saying goes if it's to good to be true it is the case! Deceptively untrue in my experience.
As they sell good brands I was called into thinking they may be another great online option like The Iconic or Surfstitch but NO way ASOS has proved absolutely terrible in more ways than one!
Start with the Customer Service- rate it at a 1 out of 10.
Email them and expect a generic response that does not provide an answer let alone a solution or even any individual review of your case.
Do expect a patronising ignorant reply. Eg click here and you will see a size chart! Oh really Sherloch you do not think I didn't look at size charts and reviews of show sizing before ordering 6 pairs of men's shoes?!
So as for the shoes. Yep 6 pairs of them ordered each pair as per each males usual size. Ensured I knew their European size and their UK & US size. Looked online at customer reviews which mentioned ASOS shoes were tts... We get the shoes and NOT one pair fit one person. Each and every pair are TOO small this shows consistency.
I write to ASOS and they suggest I look at size charts!
Disgusting and disgraceful response! What a joke. I shop online on a weekly basis and have only come across one or two as dreadful. Will not be back!

Hello, after dealing with issues with my previous orders I received this gift voucher as an apology and encouragement to continue to shop with ASOS. So, what happened? I placed a new order a few days ago, and received my order today, the dress is a different print than what I ordered, it does not have the collar and front flap like the pic and its missing the belt; again. Please see attached pics, clearly ASOS no longer cares about delivering adequate service. I contacted ASOS Customer service and spoke with Katie, who advised me there was nothing that could be done since the dress I ordered was sold out in the size I ordered. I suggested that since the dress I received was not the correct pattern and missing a belt, could ASOS send me the correct pattern in the size 16 and as long as it had the belt attached the extra inches of fabric may not be noticeable. Katie advised she could not do that because she could only process a replacement. I have had a problem with every item I have ordered from ASOS, I believe my orders are intentionally being sabotaged, it is impossible to think that these mistakes are taking place unintentionally. I requested Katie speak with her supervisor, she advised that she spoke with Tony and was advised there was nothing which could be done.

I am done with ASOS!

Order *******
Item: Glamorous Belted Maxi Dress

I understand its not possible to remove a belt from another item to send to a customer, but the fact that i was willing to accept a size up in the item as long as the belt was attached, despite this being the incorrect print, and ASOS still refused to make this exception, shows how low this company has fallen.

I do not like the fact that they are now using Royal Mail to deliver orders.
I have shopped with ASOS for over 7 years a few hiccups along the way, but customer services have always sorted out any problems that arose quickly and my goods were always delivered by My Hermes, now Royal Mail has been awarded to deliver for them. When I placed my recent order I was unaware of this fact! My ASOS parcel was due for delivery today... oh it came but I was unable to answer the doorbell in 16 seconds... so off it went again. I am not prepared to travel on a 16 mile round trip to my local sorting office and Royal Mail advise me that they are unable to redeliver the next day so I have to wait 3 days for goods that I have paid for. And I am not prepared to do this waiting around business. So the goods can go back to ASOS and I will not place anymore orders through them until they go back to using a local courier.

It's impossible to get a real person when you have an issue.

I ordered a product to Canada and they first sent it to the US and then to Canada, which means that I had to pay RIDICULOUS customs charges AND the exchange rate. The customs charges were as much as the dress I ordered. Doesn't make any sense to order from ASOS if you're international. I've never been charged such massive customs charges on an international order.

Also, I ordered shoes that were just packaged in a plastic bag and got really banged up on delivery.
