The overall reputation of the company is significantly marred by persistent customer service issues and delivery failures. Customers frequently report delays in shipping, incorrect items being sent, and a frustrating return process that often leads to dissatisfaction. Many express frustration over the lack of accessible support, relying solely on chatbots for assistance, which often fails to resolve their concerns. While some customers appreciate the product quality, the overwhelming sentiment reflects a declining trust in the company, as unresolved complaints and inadequate communication dominate the feedback. This suggests a critical need for improvement in customer service and clearer return policies.

I ordered a pair of shoes. Asos sent a pair two sizes too small. Could not exchange, nor would they offer free next day delivery for a replacement pair of shoes. Their solution was to return shoes, get a refund, and order a new pair. Returns take 14 days, so could be a while before the money is refunded. Would not trust ASOS again
ASOS! Fraudulent site! To be avoided.
I would like to share my story!
I ordered 2 dresses in one order to try on for a friend's wedding!
Of course, I tried on both dresses. Only one fit, so I returned the second one.
The dress that didn't fit was immediately sent back the same day I received the order.
ASOS did not accept the return due to some kind of odor that they say is related to its wear.
With such a short time frame, it is obvious that the observed wear or odor could not have been caused by my trying on the dress.
=> In just a few hours. Received on September 1 and sent back on September 1!
Also, the dress has a large label on the outside of the dress that is very visible, and naturally, the dress cannot be worn with it!
This is a forced sale!
As you place items in your shopping cart, ASOS encourages you to spend $120 and receive a 15% discount or $200 to receive a 20% discount. Our most recent order was above $200. After we returned one item, the order dropped to $160. However, when processing a refund, ASOS completely removed the discount, rather than re-applying, as promised, the 15% discount. So the return for a $45 item was $6. This is misleading, at best, and borders on fraudulent. Deeply disappointed in ASOS' recent approach to customer service, especially after being loyal customers for many years and recommending the site to many friends.
This was the first time I ordered from ASOS. I did the size finder and read the reviews for the item that said to order a size up which I did. I don't think my Size 4 cardigan would fit a toddler! I am thin and I can't get my arms in the sleeves. I wanted to exchange and they will not. The policy says no returns or refunds in final sales items but it doesn't say no exchanges. You can't call the company only chat. My recommendation is to not order from this company.
I spent money twice with these people, waited for ages, received nothing, supposidly sent via Evri and impossible to contact either of them, it's an absolute disgrace, I wouldn't go near them!
Im in montreal canada and ordered a shirt.
The item never came nor I get refunded.
Make sure to not order on that website
I used to order often from ASOS, but hadn't for a while. I ordered some small items, went about my day, and checked the order email. I realized my old address was the shipping address, because autofill had probably replaced my new address. It was a bit over an hour since the order was placed.
I immediately contacted ASOS support and they told me too bad, their policy only lets you modify an order within an hour. They told me to wait until the shipping label was created and then contact the delivery service to cancel.
So, I did, and a whole two days later the shipping label is created. UPS tells me I cannot cancel/refuse a delivery - it has to be ASOS. So, I reach back out to ASOS, and they tell me "We can't cancel your order from our end for some security reason and privacy."
Now the package has been delivered, and ASOS doesn't have options for refunds/returning once it has been delivered, if you don't have the goods. So I'm out $65 and it's a total waste of my time and money. They just deflect and waste your time and tell you try again later, when you definitely can't resolve anything.
Never shopping there again.
Very poor customer service. My daughter saved some money to order couple of items. She ordered size medium by mistake instead of small. When the items arrived, she realized straight away and asked for an exchange, without even opening the items. ASOS said she had to send them back for a refund and make a new order, but the items were 40 pounds more now. I told them we just needed an exchange, but they refused and insisted on making a new order for 40 pounds more, or wait until the items go on offer!
While of course the returned items will be sold to other customers for the new higher price.
She did not have that extra amount, so she just had to send them back and not order what she wanted. She is very disappointed now.
Chat reference is *******.
Order reference *******.
I ordered shoes and I received a dress. I get that mistakes happened, so I returned the incorrect item and apparently, they only refund the price of the item. If it had been my mistake, I wouldn't be mad that they didn't refund the $20 for shipping, but it wasn't my mistake. I shouldn't have to pay for their eff up. I tried to contact them, but could only get an AI chatbot that was the opposite of helpful.
Talking to their support reps to try and resolve something is as about as useful as talking to a basic chatbot.--they keep repeating the same thing without any thought process whatsoever. There is a reason why their support hide behind live chats. They can't resolve anything. They can't seem to read or understand what your are asking them either. The manager for support refuses to talk to annoyed clients and lets the support staff with comprehension issues waste the customer's (or former customer's) time
Ordered some items that never arrived. Customer care told me they would refund me and that I would receive an email confirming the refund. Next thing I know is that they have blocked my account
My order got cancelled but i still got charged, charged different amount that they did state. Not only that, the still shipped me a package, but gave me a wrong item.
I ordered a new shoe online, but they never sent the box with it. They just wrapped a bag and shipped it out.
I ordered 8 items for specifically for work not leisure. I received 1/8 items (tie & pocket square). I write asos customer support and they tell me they will re-ship the lost items. I ask for a new tracking and the customer support agent confirms they will send via email. A week goes by and I don't have any updates from Asos. I follow up again and ask for a full refund because my items are 3 weeks late and I wasn't given an update. This support agent tells me I will receive an update via email. The following day I get my account blocked by Asos for inquiring about the package they lost. This company is a joke.
I do not consider this respect for your customers, especially new ones, so a negative opinion is formed about ASOS in general. Why should I find out and ask where my order is, provided that you, as a service provider, did not provide them on time? Thirdly, the delivery time increases from three to 6 weeks, which is twice as long as anyone expected. In my opinion, this is not a few days, as indicated on your website.
Your support team is a solid set of scripts that not only do not reassure but only make you more detached. Any company would offer at least some compensation for the inconvenience, but yours is just a set of empty phrases. And lastly, your support service with an absolutely miserable frequency is just a nightmare that can drive anyone crazy
After many successful deliveries, ASOS has since changed their courier for international deliveries too Europe. Their chosen courier service tried to deliver my parcel to the wrong country - unsurprisingly, I wasn't able to take delivery as I don't live there! Items weren't redirected when I told them of the problem, just returned to ASOS and a full refund hayd been given. Great. But still haven't got the items I ordered/wanted. I won't be using ASOS again until they've changed their courier service to a more capable choice. One who can at least read an address label and send it to the right country.
I ordered almost $200 in clothing from ASOS. I paid for express shipping because I needed the items for an event. Not only did the pkg come later than I was told, but only 2 out of the 6 items that I ordered arrived. I immediately contacted customer service (since their website showed the order was complete/delivered). I supplied photo proof. I was told by the representative I would receive an email with confirmation of my refund within 24 hours. The following day, ASOS emailed me that my account was being shut down for "suspicious activity" and that I was not being refunded. I will NEVER order from this company ever again! They are scammers! Beware!
Wow, I cannot tell how disappointed I am in ASOS. Absolutely fine until you need something. I explained I'd been bedridden for weeks being unwell, so by the time my returned items arrived at the warehouse, they were a little delayed. Despite speaking with someone and explaining, they have absolutely refused to consider this on a case by case basis and have refused my refund entirely. Pretty disgraceful when someone is physically unable to get up to return the package. The items are not damaged at all and are still on sale on the website, so this is pure financial greed and nothing more. AVOID.
Answer: Hello Em, Yes it is true. The site has very poor delivery and customer service. I do not recommend it.
Answer: Doubt it, I don't think they sell any knock off's. Depending on the print you got, some of them don't have stripes. Hope that helps.
Answer: No. They will find 101 reasons to screw you out of your money
Answer: No. If anything it has gottten worse.
Answer: Look, as I wrote here I shopped with them many times and I was never disappointed. I don't know where you buy from, but I live in Italy and it doesn't take more than 4-5 working days for them to deliver the package. If you're concerned about the quality, well, it's not really top-notch, but considering the price it's really good (you can't expect Max Mara quality from a shirt you paid 20 euros). As for the fit be careful because those are UK sizes and they are definitely NOT vanity sizing! Meaning: when you read "model pictured wears UK 8" you may think "they're lying, she's clearly a 6" but they're actually not in most cases. I have a body similar to that of most of their models, I ordered size 6 twice and it was a tiny bit small. So size accordingly. All in all I trust them and I like their product. Perfect low-cost site to shop from online.
Answer: Complain about Asos through the Retail Ombudsman, if more people complain about companies like Asos they will have no choice but to improve their service to their customers.
Answer: Your only option with asos is live chat. I used it just now and also a few days ago and it worked just fine. They solved all my issues. Chat is the only way to contact.
Answer: You have to be a careful shopper. Check the fabric content! I just purchased Is 4 pairs of cargo pants. Same style, different colors. They are 100% cotton and excellent quality. I also purchased things by topshop and free people on this site. Asos has its own brand but sells others. Returns are effortless so I don't know why so many people are complaining. I have very high standards and they haven't let me down yet.
