The website is a ripe off. They are always charging money for everything and still give bull$#*! service. On the other side you will get countless spam in your inbox and hoax emails from other members which is the most worst part.

Patience! It is a lot of work but hang in there. Back in the days I have been on AshleyMadison for a few months and had mixed results. Not all of them good, not all of them bad! As mentioned: It is a lot of work! Now I use Saphrina with pretty good results, but once again: Patience! Do not expect to hook up within two days. Not on any affair site!

Maybe AshleyMadison does not deserve a 5 star rating. Possible. But for sure AshleyMadison does not deserve a 1 or 2 stars rating. It is a legit site and an innovative company but you need to do your homework.

In general keep in mind: All is not gold that glitters... especially when it come to online dating!

An absolute waste of time. I have never been bombarded by more scammers and spam. I even had a Nigerian Scammer hit me up. Reporting a profile doesn't do anything either. You report someone as suspicious and you still see them on the site weeks later. I imagine they like to keep the search numbers high. They don't really care if you have quality results, just quantity.

The affair guarantee package. Have you read this? So crazy! They require so much trying to have a hook up becomes a full time job.

This is the third time I've tried the site out, and it's been worse everytime. I won't do it again.

I've read reviews here from disgruntled men who may not have gotten a date with the woman they were pursuing. Perhaps the experience for women is different. But as a woman on that site, it is impossible to respond to every man who contacts you. Some men, after seeing my pictures, told me they thought I was 'fake' and they wanted my email address to prove I was real. I for one, won't waste my time with men who are suspicious. Also, many MANY men do not have a profile picture. I NEVER responded to a man without a face on his profile picture (you can blank out your eyes). I had 3 clear pictures of myself on public profile with eyes blanked out. It's enough to give a person a clear idea of your looks. And yes, it is about looks. After all, we're married and there's no other reason to do this than pure physical attraction.

I was drawn to this site in the hope that it would be more professional than the other sites which have serious scammers lurking as genuine members looking for partners.
This site too has a similar problem, and still worse that it is more global which kind of exacerbates those problems, and kind of defeats the object too for those who are not in search of porn pen pals.
However for me the real reason why I cannot contemplate continued membership is the exorbitant ongoing charges to use the essential site features such as messaging. These end up costing a fortune (if you are a man that is) because access to features is actually discriminatory to men given that women can message men free, but not the other way round.
It's exactly like picking up phone calls from vaguely potential partners who may be scammers, and having to pay collect for the privilege.
Very useful and virtually free though if you're operating as a female prostitute.
Therefore I think it's a business essentially based on the exploitation of men, sad or otherwise and served no purpose for me in search of a genuine partner.
Having then had to pay a further £15 to have my profile removed from the site in order for it to be unavailable to the site portfolio really did cause my blood to boil.
I would advise anyone in the UK in seach of "dating" such as myself to steer well clear and go to a reputable dating agency or one of the UK based web sites which are not faultless but association members. I would offer the same advice to those in search of "short term" relations to do te same with an added note of caution regarding scammers.

The only reason this gets a star is there are good photos once in a while. I truly believe all the women's profiles are fake. If you send a wink which is free, they reply back they'd rather you send a full message. Of course, because a message is 10 credits. Every person I sent a wink to, they replied back to send a full message with photo. Your photo is in your profile. Several women sent messages to me collect, meaning they initiated the contact however made me pay for it. One person I did kind of have a discussion with and said she would hook up, sent me a third party link to get a special id so I would be verified as safe and legit. We could do that via phone or something. Basically, to do anything on the site, it costs you. Even after spending, you are no closer to hooking up than you were before. I've had much better results on Tinder. DO NOT JOIN ASHLEY MADISON. IT IS ALL FAKE.

Fake website. Another reviewer also suggested cheatersnetwork.com - this is fake too.
I emailed a profile on ashley madison (personal email) and got a response. Sent a reply and got another response. Sent a third response and changed the subject title and then I got the first response I received, word for word. Obviously a bot sending messages.

A total gouge operation. Once you spend out your credits, you can only buy an expensive extension. And when you delete your profile, they gouge you for $20. This site is total bull $#*!, to use the vernacular. DO NOT SIGN UP. IT IS A RIP-OFF.

I wouldn't recommend, lots of fake profiles. If you are looking for a better option, then should check out XratedSingles.com.

This makes me sick to my stomach, this site is so disgusting. GET A $#*!ING DIVORCE if you are so unhappy with yourself and your spouse. Guys need to stop being $#*!'s and women need to stop being whore's, grow up, you are all adults!

Total rip-off. A gazillion fake female profiles and watch your credits tumble out of control in every way imaginable without getting anywhere. Basically like a slot machine taking your money with no payoff whatsoever. Once your credits get low you will receive a nebulous one word message from a beautiful woman whom you will never hear from again after it sucks more credits out of your bank to reply.

TOTAL WASTE OF TIME. Be WARNED. TOTAL MONEY-MKING RIP-OFF. Hopefully incredible bad karma, atrocious bad luck and disaster to ALL involved in the running of this site, may a thousand voodoo curses descend on you and plague your life with endless misery.

AshleyMadison used to be kind of good many, many years ago. Now, you can find much better sites (Saphrina, VM, and Co). However, the site is not as bad as most reviewers imply.

Fake profiles? Yes, I am sure they have plenty of fakers! Scammers? Yes, I am sure there are plenty of scammers. BUT they also have real authentic women. That is a fact! However, the number of fakes increased during the last years and that is why I rather use other sites which still offer a better success rate than AshleyMadison.

I have never been so disappointed in this world... As I sit and read all these reviews hoping for just one person to step out and take a stand, all I see is a bunch of people complaining about what a rip off ashleymaddison is or how it's all a scam... You should all be ashamed of yourselves! I mean, you were on the site in the first place. Has everyone in this God forsaken hell hole lost all site of right and wrong? My parents marriage was torn in half by an affair. As meaningless as it was said to be, it still changed our lives forever. Is it possible that at the young age of 6months old, I knew more about love and marriage than all of you...? I lay awake at night now that I'm grown just wondering. What is wrong with this place? What kind of examples are we setting for our kids? I know most of you will probably just laugh at this review. Some might even comment back saying things like I don't know what it's like. To that I have no argument. But I do know that deep down, those reading this review know I'm right, and that cuts deeper than any insult or stab I could take at any of you. The world knows it's going to $#*!, the problem is that no one will stand up for a change. This site is disgusting! Come on people, quit being so selfish! Think of the world we are leaving behind for the next generations. It makes me sick

If you want to be taken to the cleaners, then this is the site for you. The women are fakes, the site will charge you $19.00 to delete your account. Calls to their customer service number are a waste of time. Stay far away from this site, you have been warned.
