Movement of the watch was totally out of alignment as the hour hand was moving erratically. Website stated Miyota 8N40 caliber but in fact, it was a Seagull TY2809 Chinese caliber. Wonder how Ashford guys going to explain this.

The only reason it is 2 stars and not 1 is because it is a great product for the price and I very much love the watch. But it seems as though Ashford is not truthful in the claims they make on their products, they don't do the proper due diligence when they receive watches from another dealer, or they are sourcing from a dealer who is not trustworthy. Or a combination of all three.

I bought a Tissot Chemin des Tourelles Powermatic 80 COSC Ref. T*******800, with the claim on the product page "new & boxed." Much to my surprise I received the watch without the COSC Certificate, which includes the additional 1-year warranty. I brought this to the attention of customer service and received the following response:

"We provide our customers with everything we receive from the manufacturers or the authorized dealers. If we did not receive the COSC, we cannot provide it. We disagree with your statement that the item was not delivered as advertised as we do not make any claims nor did we guarantee that the item will come with a COSC. Please be informed the cost of return shipping is the customers' responsibility as is stated on our site."

The two claims on the Ashford website are on the product page "new & boxed" and at the bottom of each webpage "100% Brand New." Delivering the product new as advertised would mean it includes all of it contents. The COSC certificate is part of the contents of this particular model watch. If they did not receive the COSC certificate at the onset, why was this particular product sold as "new & boxed" and not pre-owned as they have other items listed as such?

It is also disappointing to see that no effort will be made to rectify the situation, other than myself paying for it to be returned! While I did consider returning the watch, I will be keeping it as it fits everything I was looking for in my first watch purchase and it holds some sentimental value in the reason for purchasing. I will happily avoid Ashford in the future as it is clear that they cannot verify the contents of watches they sell, and seem to have no reason to fix an obvious error in the claims made about certain products.
